Steve woke up this morning like any other, and headed to the airport for his much anticipated flight to the Sahara Desert for a little bit of excavation and an amazing Archaeological dig where he expected to find huge veins of Diamond, Lapis Lazuli, and Gold Ore. He packed his trusty backpack full of all the tools he would need for the adventure, an Iron Pickaxe, Shovel, Axe, and lots of Mushroom Stew and Cookies. Knowing there would be a camp set up when he arrived, he left his gardening tools and other survival items behind. Little did Steve know, that a strange fate would befall him later that day.
Steve arrived at the airport an hour early and had some time to sit and enjoy his freshly crafted bowl of Mushroom Stew along with a bukkit of Milk from the airport restaurant. As he looked around, he noticed a beautiful lava fountain, and what appeared to be a sheep breeding with a chicken. He thought nothing of it, as he finished his stew, and headed for his gate. Getting settled in to his seat, backpack stowed away in the overhead, Steve decided to take a short nap during takeoff, so he wouldn't have to worry about his ears popping. He drifted off to sleep quickly, and before he knew it, the pilot announced that they were cruising at y=10000.
A few hours later, Steve awoke to the rushing sound of wind in his ears. As he groggily opened his eyes, he realized he should be sitting in his airplane seat but instead was quickly falling through the air towards what looked like a tree in the sky! Adjusting his angle of descent by flapping his arms like a fledgling bird learning to fly, Steve maneuvered himself directly over the tree, and hit it with such force that he thought it would be uprooted. Steve had seen a few survival movies in his day on YouTube, and realized that hitting a tree on your way down on a long fall can sometimes save your life, and how right he was. As he hit the first bunch of leaves, his fall was slowed, and the next bunch of leaves slowed him even further, until he was just falling from leaf bunch to leaf bunch, and finally landed on the ground... or was it the ground?
Looking around, Steve now understood that he was standing on an L-Shaped island with naught but a single tree and a Chest to accompany him. His pack was still on the plane, and he had no idea how or why he had ended up on the outside of an airplane in the first place. "Oh well" he thought, "I might as well see what's in the chest." -to be continued...
