This is my story. I was never very wealthy. I lived in a small home with small rooms and had a very small amount of money. I never wanted to be so "Small", but I could never find a job I liked that could support him properly. I am a Caucasian male, 6'4", brown hair, and somewhat tan skin. If you are reading this, then you are in possession of my journal. Anyways, now that we're done with the boring stuff, let's get on to the real story you've been waiting for.
Chapter 1 - Dreaming Big
It happened one morning while I was asleep. Dreaming peacefully, I never would
have seen this coming. The pain in my back woke me up. I shouldn’t have tried to lift that toolbox yesterday... I thought to myself.
In my attempt to get off my bed without causing any more pain in my back,
I found myself face-first on the floor. Falling on my face wasn’t uncommon for me, as I was VERY clumsy. However, this was not any normal fall, as once my face connected with the hardwood floor, something purple started forming. Slowly at first, but gaining speed, a hole was appearing in my floor. In my haste to get up, I forgot that half my body was still on my bed, which caused me to be sprawled on my back, right next to the purple circle. The circle was gaining speed at a rapid rate, and I was unnaturally slow at getting up. It felt as if I was in jelly, and I could hardly move. Finally I gave in to whatever was stopping me from moving, and accepted my fate. It seems quite pathetic now, but I wasn’t much of a strongly willed person back then. As I came into contact with the circle, the pain in my back seemed to fade away. I figured this was just a part of death, but I never thought it would be so much more. I remember a very strong tugging sensation, then feeling like I was about to vomit. It didn’t pass quickly, but I held it in. As soon as the feelings started, they ended. Falling from the sky was the next thing I remembered. I figured that THIS would be the cause of my death, as I could clearly see the tops of a few mountains in the distance. I closed my eyes and hoped it would end quickly, and it did. The wind in my ears stopped very suddenly, but I felt no pain. Opening my eyes revealed the fact that I was not dead, or at least I don’t think I was.
“I don’t want to try that again…” I said to myself.
I decided to look around at my surroundings. The world was beautiful. Mountains, forests, and I was standing on a small hill with a river wrapping around it. Upon reaching the forest, I realized there was a small cavern quite close to me. I peeked over the edge and saw a terrifying sight. There were undead monsters, man-eating spiders, and a reanimated skeleton. I saw what appeared to be two slits of purple, but they disappeared quickly. Before I could think about what I had seen, something wrapped around my arm. It was one of the zombies that had managed to climb up to me. I kicked its head, which sent it back into the cavern, and with a sickening crack, its skull broke open on the stone floor. I ran away as fast as I could, and tripped over something in the ground. At first glance, it appeared to be a tree’s root, but upon further inspection it showed to be a small chest, buried in the ground. I used my hands to clear away what I could, and then managed to pull the chest open after several tries. Inside, there was a tool belt, an empty book, a pen, and what appeared to be a metal pickaxe. I sat against a tree, with the pickaxe by my side, and began to write in the book. That book is what you are currently reading.
