Chapter 1- A Normal Day
It was a normal day. Hi, my name is David. I'm 14 years old, and have a dark red shade of hair. My skin is pale white and my nickname at school is vampire boy. I don't have a girlfriend. I was just walking around town with my coat on. It was mid December in Colorado, so you can understand why. My hands were getting cold, as I was wearing wool gloves during a snowball fight with my friends, and the've frozen. I decided to go home.
I had been playing Minecraft lately, so I started playing that. Just as I finished building a dining room in my cobblestone house, I started getting this weird feeling in my head. Things were getting blurry, so I decided to lay down and close my eyes for a little bit.
Unexpectedly, I immediately went to sleep.
Chapter 2-The World of Blocks
When I woke up, I was looking at some trees with snow on them. But they didn't look like regular trees. They were tall and uniform, and were made up of blocks. Each block had 256 pixels on each side. Where was I? What is this world? Why am I here? Could I go back?
Minecraft. That's it. One word. Minecraft. How could it be more obvious? I wake up in some random place made of blocks.
I had to build a house quickly, before night came. I started beating the trees around me, so I could make planks. I ripped the hanging leaves from the air, to get saplings and apples. I got a single sapling from the first tree, and two apples. I had nine blocks of wood, enough to make a crafting bench and some tools.
Chapter 3- Questions
I started on the next tree. I had plenty of time to think about what I would do. I had so many questions! If I died would I get to respawn? Or would I be gone forever? I didn't want to find out the hard way.
I turned my wood into planks, and built an 8x8x4 house out of them. It was small, but it would suffice. I still had half of a stack of planks left, so I built a door.
I needed a bed and some food, so I made fences. Now when I find cows, pigs, or sheep, I can trap them there and use them for food and wool. I found some pigs, so I built a fenced in area and herded them into it. I killed four of them and left the rest to live.
Next I found some sheep. There were only three so I killed them and went back home, as it was getting dark. I made a bed and went to sleep.
Chapter 4- A New Face
I woke up feeling great. I may be in a world made of pixels, but at least I have my regular pale skin. I'm not made of blocks. Life was gonna be great. But there was still something missing. A friend. I needed a friend. An animal wouldn't do, it hade to be a human. As if my thoughts had done something, a lightning strike went off in the distance.
"I wish I had a million dollars!" I joked. It didn't work.
I started over to the place the lightning struck. I took my swords (I made two of them), some torches, and all four raw porkchops. I decided to hold both swords in both hands because I felt safer that way.
By the time I got there I was down to two porkchops and it was dark. I had been placing down torches regularly to keep the area well lit and so I could find my way home. I could see the crater the thing had made but not the thing. That's when I herd a shriek. I turned around to see a girl running for her life. She was being followed by three zombies and a skeleton. They got her up against a wall. She tried to run but a zombie had her arm. It was about to rip out her neck. I had to do something!
Chapter 5- Hero Time
I got both swords in my hand and let out a battle yell. I ran at the zombie that had her and shoved my sword between its eyes. It fell to the ground with blood splurting out of the hole I made.
I turned around and sliced at the next zombie with my other sword and kicked it away. Its head rolled away leaving a trail of fluid behind it.
The last zombie was farther away, so I had to run to get it. I ran as fast as I could at it and jumped. As I came down, I sliced it in half. Both halves of the zombie sagged and fell.
Now for the skeleton. I ran at it, but it shot me in the arm. I jumped back and grabbed the wound. The arrow got my left arm and was making it bleed. I was in so much pain. I dropped the sword and ran again, dodging the arrow it shot. I slashed at his skull and watched it crack in two. He crumpled on the ground and his bones dislodged. Now he was just a pile of bones.
I turned around to where the girl was huddled. I helped her up and led her back to my house. I made her a chair and we sat down. She was still shaking from the experience.
"My name's David," I said.
"Celia," she said.
"Are you ok?" I asked. Her only reply was a turn of the head. She clearly wanted to sleep. I gave her my bed to lay down on and she went to sleep immediately.
She was beautiful. She had brown hair that went past her shoulders and brown eyes. She looked about the same age as me and she was about the same hight. She was wearing a black shirt that was ripped in many places (presumably from the lightning and the fact that she made a crater), and camo cargo pants. She clearly was not a girly girl. I took the arrow out of my arm and went to sleep on the ground.
Chapter 6- Time to Mine
When I woke up I found Celia had made a table and was siting at it. She was eating a cooked porkchop. I joined her. I took a bite and my mouth exploded.
"This is really good!" I said.
"Thanks, my grandmother taught me how to cook," she said. "Thank you for saving my life." She gave me a hug. My mind went all blurry. I'd never been hugged by a girl before.
I figured we should go and find some supplies. I handed her a stone pickax and we went out to look for caves. She spotted one really quickly. We went inside and found some coal. We mined it and continued inside. She placed down torches occasionally and found iron.
" This cave is getting really deep," I said. She agreed. We continued on and found gold. Since we didn't have an iron pickax, we went back up. I made a furnace and we smelted the iron ore we found. Now that we had an iron pickax we went back down. When we finished mining the gold we continued on. We found a big pool of lava, and a zombie that was next to it. She snuck up behind it and pushed it into the lava. We went around the side and found redstone. We mined it and went back up.
Chapter 7- Monster Killers
I made some pressure plates and pistons and made a trap outside. We decided to kill some zombies and other monsters, so we went out. We found plenty of zombies. We had killed around eleven when we herd a hissing. Creeper! We started to run. We got to the house when I remembered the trap I made. I ran to one side of it and the creeper got stuck in it. When I got inside we were both breathing heavily. We started to laugh. We laughed and laughed.
Chapter 8- Christmas
It's been a week we've been together, and it's Christmas Eve. I've been thinking about what to get her, and I think I've figured out what. A diamond sword. But not just any diamond sword, this one was specially crafted by me. It has a long blade I colored slightly purple using dye, and redstone pebbles along the flat sides. I used iron with lapis coloring around the edge to make it extremely sharp. It's handle is made of stone with wool padding covered by leather straps that were wrapped to make diamond patterns. The scabbard is made of iron mixed with copper melted to make a swirl pattern. The case for it was made of black leather with gold corners. It had a glass window on the front and lights to make the sword give that glint that caught the eyes. There was a note underneath the sword. The note read:
"Dear Celia,
It has been a week that we have been together. We have found many things, and have fought off even more. Here is a sword to help you defeat anything that annoys you, or tries to kill you.
From,
David"
It took me five days to make and another day of perfecting. I did it all in secret so she would not know about it until tomorrow.
We've been thinking about a Christmas tree to go in our house, and have decided to put it in the middle of the living room (we had expanded the house to two floors and the base is now 15x20 blocks long). We found the perfect one and put it right where we wanted it. We made some lights to go around it and some ornaments to hang from its branches. We had trouble deciding what to make the star out of, gold or diamond, so we each made half a star and put them together. It was perfect.
I know I love her. She's everything I ever dreamed of. I decided to tell her I love her when she opened her gift. Tomorrow will be a great day.
Chapter 9- Love
Christmas day. One of the best holidays of the year. And this one would be better than ever because I'm going to tell Celia I love her. Will she love me back? Or will she reject me like everyone else has? I don't know. The best I can do is just tell her.
We're both sitting around the tree, about to open presents. We flipped a coin for who goes first and I won. She handed me the present she got me. It was beautifully wrapped in green paper. I carefully opened it making sure I didn't rip the paper. Inside was a full set of diamond armor. It was hand crafted to look like the Romans' armor. It even had the red feather Mohawk on the top.
"Thank you!" I said.
"I thought you might like it more than your iron armor," she said. "And one more thing," she said, "I love you." I stared at her in shock.
"Y-y-you love me?" I stuttered.
"Ya, I understand if you don't love me," she said sadly.
"No, it's just that I was going to tell you that I love you when you opened my gift to you!" I said. She smiled.
"So you love me, too?" she asked.
"Yes, I do love you Celia. Your amazing," I said. She hugged me and I hugged her back.
"Wait, I still need to open your present!" she said. She grabbed it and tore off the white paper. Her mouth dropped open and stayed that way for a while. When she finally took it out of its case, she took a few swings.
"This is amazing!" she said. "How long did it take you to make this?"
"Six days," I said, like it was nothing.
"Six days!? Wow, you must have really wanted this to be perfect!"
"Ya, I wanted you to like it." Se found the note and read it out loud. She kissed me on the cheek and went outside. She wanted to test her sword. I followed her with my iron sword. We practiced against each other, and had a great time. By the time we were done, it was dark out.
We wanted to get gunpowder, so I got my bow and we set out to find creepers. We found one very quickly and got up on a hill behind it. I pulled back my arrow and let it fly. It flew directly toward the creeper. It was two feet away when the creeper walked forward. The arrow missed and imbedded itself in the tree behind the creeper. It saw us and came after us. That's when Celia ran out and shoved her sword through its chest. It started hissing, but the hissing died away and it went limp. We took its gunpowder and went off to find more.
Chapter 10- Enchanters
We wanted to enchant Celia's sword and my armor so we set out to find water and lava. We took two buckets and went down into the cave. We got a bucket of lava and broke some ice to get water. We made an obsidian generator next to the pool of lava and made obsidian. We made an enchanting table and went to find sugar cane. We had to walk about a kilometer before finding any, but we found a lot. Enough to make a full bookshelf around the enchanting table. We finished the enchanting room and gave Celia's sword a level five fortune and a level four sharpness. My diamond chest plate had a level four blast protection and a level four protection.
Now that the sword and armor has been enchanted, we went out to find animals. We killed every animal we found and ended up with 27 porkchops, 34 raw beef, and 26 wool. Good job us.
Chapter 11- Pets
Celia and I wanted a pet. We didn't want a dog, or a pig. We wanted something dangerous. We made an iron cage and went to find a creeper. When we found one we snuck up behind it and pushed it into the cage. We took it home and dug out a room for it. We put him in the room until we could figure out how to tame him. We decided to feed it, but it wouldn't eat anything. We tried to give it water but it wouldn't drink. Whenever we got near it it would start to hiss. Then I had an idea. I took some redstone and wired up the cage. Maybe a sudden shock would work we flipped the switch and watched. I got near it and it didn't hiss. It worked! I took it out of its cage and let it walk around. It went over to Celia and then to me. It liked us. We had taken an evil force and turned it good. Now we tried to feed it and it still wouldn't eat. We figured it doesn't eat, and as a result doesn't urinate or defecate. We walked around and it followed us, so there would be no need for a leash. Life was going to be good. We had a pet creeper, a nice house, and most importantly (and probably the most cheesy), each other.
