I wish I had any information to help rebuild this thread, I can barely read it now. Sadly, I don't. I'd only be useful if you could time travel or something. I copied my whole thread on a document and saved it on my laptop so that if that happens, I can easily copy and paste it. It takes awhile, but it is worth it. Anyway, sometimes when I click the edit button to edit my post, this particular thing happens and all the coding is shown. That kept happening to me, but I found a solution. Whenever that happens, I go back instantly and click the edit button again. But for now, nothing. Sorry.

Alright, some of the information on our old website needs to be moved here while the info that is here will be updated/edited/fix'd/ok'd. Now this thread, in my view, is pretty HUGE. I'm gonna take time, occasional breaks, maybe stop a bit and etc. etc.

Wassup my peoples! Minefic is technically alive, since I got my peeps ready to work whenever the opportunity arises, since we have a RLCF (Real Life Comes First) policy. Still, I am here, and I will rock it! Submissions are open, as usual, though I may not be as good or as accurate as I once was. Important Notes (Must read if you're a writer)
• If you're a writer here, please, I ask you to keep this thread alive. Minefic not only lists stories, but they serve as a marker for history. Even though stories come and go, let us hope that Minefic stays and all the stories it has with it.
Trivia:
•The Story List currently has 48 56 stories and 10 staff members.
• Minefic is a free volunteer project aimed towards having the stories of the writers of Minecraft be read.
• Staff members follow a Real Life Comes First policy. This means if they are too busy with life, they can focus on it without going over to ask permission to do it. TL;DR: This isn't their jobs. Deal with it. //static.minecraftforum.net//public/style_emoticons/default/smile.png" target="" data-ensure-absolute>http://static.minecr...ault/smile.png" /> The Story List

Description: Minxed wakes up in a forest, all alone, with no memories of his past. He slowly remembers snippets of his past life, and gets introduced into a new environment, where Herobrine rules. As time passes, he remembers more and more, through dreams. Training himself to fight, he becomes the leader of a rebel group known as The Guardians. Herobrine creates new monsters to fight back, and The Guardians must learn to cope with the new threat. As time passes, The Guardians become more and more powerful, and Herobrine must bring forth his most powerful creatures in a final battle, that lasts for a long period of time. Eventually, Minxed becomes powerful enough that he is able to take on Herobrine in combat, to decide who will win the long war.

How to submit your story:
You must post the story with this format. If you do not use the format, you will be asked to use it and IF you didn't listen or wanted to...
I won't tell the details but the great mace of inhumane agony is in my hand right now and I wanna use it.
Title and Authormust have links attached to them.
Make sure your Description is as short as it can be. Status should only have In Progress, Complete, Unfinished and On Hold.
OPTIONAL, though Very Helpful:
Put this on your threads wherever you want to make Minefic more known even if it is buried underneath several pages. I would not have asked for this but being warned for excessive bumping has got me on a leash. Thank you for understanding.
Writing Help
Your fic didn't get in? Minefic has a very relaxed screening for stories. You may have done horrendous errors (Lord knows I have) on your fic. You could've gotten the grammar, paragraph, punctuation and many other things in the story seriously messed up. That is why this part is here! //static.minecraftforum.net//public/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.png" target="" data-ensure-absolute>http://static.minecr...lt/biggrin.png" />//static.minecraftforum.net//public/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.png" target="" data-ensure-absolute>http://static.minecr...lt/biggrin.png" />
Links to other sites:
This is advice for posting the story, rather than the story itself.
If you're going to post a story, it is recommended to read these first:
Check and edit your story for grammar and punctuation several times before posting. Many people want to read good stories with good grammar. Don't use cellphone text like "I did it 4 u" and keep capitalization and punctuation where it's supposed to be.
Be more original with your stories. Nobody wants to read "Herobrine ate my Cat" if there are loads of other Herobrine stories out there. If you will use any common story bases, try to put a spin to it.
Never use your age as an excuse. It is more of a reason to strive harder to disprove common and (mostly true image) of 12/13 year-old children being whiny and annoying problems with deficiency to grammar. If you do the opposite, people will respect you. Look at me, I am 12 years old and I don't use it as an excuse to write badly, in fact I try to work harder to make good stories.
Take criticisms graciously and hate neutrally. If you will get angry because somebody pointed flaws in your story, you are not only ignoring help that will improve you, but also you are destroying people's respect for you. If somebody doesn't like your story, don't reply. It's much better to let one "I don't like it" sitting there than to reply and trade insults and get your thread locked.
Find advice. A good example are these guidelines and the Writing Improvement page. The more you know, the better. The better you are, the more people will appreciate your works.
Keep your paragraphs short to make it look appealing. It also gives less reason to create spoilers. Having a long, yet readable story is sure to snag in readers easier.
If you're smart, you will follow these guidelines.
Getting More Views
Are you feeling down because your stories don't get much views? Well here's an easy guide to making sure you get views and have the motivation to write. This isn't a guide actually, it's just 3 things you have to remember.
Write Long- You should spend time in a writing program before you post, that way people will have reason to go to read your stories. It also helps as you only need an update every now and then to get a load of the story done.
Bump Sparingly- Don't bump every singly time something new happened. My suggestion is post a few chapters, get some sig banners, spread the love or get it placed in somewhere. And before that... aff more chapters to your story!
Motivate All Time- You got to be motivated, forced writing will suck and half-efforts will yield half-results. Yes you should write a lot of it before posting, but make sure to make it quick!
Staff
These are the people that make sure you go to sleep at night without worrying about the Fan Art section being devoid of fan fiction.
If you want to go and help work on Minefic (Seriously, it needs all the work it can get), I'll warn you first: You won't be paid. This is a community-project aimed to help fan fiction writers, who are also unpaid for their works. Here are the positions currently open:
1. Pre-Reader: To be a pre-reader you must have experience writing or with grammar and such. I will ask an example of your work, and verification to prove it is indeed, yours. As a pre-reader your job is to check the stories that come from the uploads, return if it's quality isn't good, accept fanfics that are and offer helpful advice.
2. Organizer: You must be able to follow rules and obey whatever instructions I give. You should tag/label and categorize stories in the proper locations. This isn't an easy walk as it will require dedication and effort to do, and since you're unpaid, it's gonna be a LOT more effort.
3. Spreader: No, it's not spamming endless links to our site, but it's probably the easiest. Your job is to seek out stories, authors of fanfics, link them to our thread, ask permissions, make/ask for banners, increase popularity etc. Anyone can be a Spreader, actually, just don't be annoying to the people you spread it to.
4. Recruiter: Your job is to inspect potential people to join our staff, depending on me, you will either need my permission or not.
5. Communicator: A hard job, the Communicator is more like a messenger, he has to keep online on Skype and inform any of the staff of anything they need.
ALL MEMBERS must have Skype. We are growing in number and discussions cannot be carried out fully in PM. All members must have Skype and be online. If they not they will miss important information.

I would like to say some words for Minefic, Farteh16, and my fellow writers.
I made an account on Minecraft Forum about three to four months ago. At first, I came here to download and play maps and actually be able to comment on the threads. I knew that wasn't where I was meant to be, for I am not meant to be a brilliant map maker. After a few days, I found this sub-forum. Literature. When I found it, I wasn't popular. I wasn't sharing, but merely commenting on works. One of the first threads I read, was this. Minefic. And ever since I discovered it, I've been branching out and devoting time into writing, learning, critiquing... Being with all of you.
Thanks to Minefic and Farteh16, I was able to be in the spot I am right now. And there are many of you in this spot as well. And we all know it isn't as easy to be a writer, dreams take effort. Where would we be without Minefic? It gave us help, spread out who we are and shaped who we are as writers now. Farteh16 has been a friend of all of us, and helped some of us become writers. Minefic raised the encouragement and helped us, it made effort worth it.
I am quite sad to see Minefic go, but it's fine. It had a good run, you know, it did. It helped us, new writers and old, experienced or not. You get my point, I suppose. I also want to make this an opportunity to say thank you to all those people who helped me out this summer. Which I am so very sure, I will not forget. This may bloom into something more, and I may just be an 11 year old, and so I hope you understand where I am coming from. As I am sure many of you feel the same way.
Thanks again to Minefic, Farteh16, and everyone who helped me become the young writer I am now. And yes, I sound cheesy.
Sincerely, OnceInALongTime, with so many other names...

I'm sad to see this go, and I think I'll add some parting words too...
I'm sad to see Minefic go, as I saw it as a way for people who were writing great stories that weren't getting as much views as they deserved. Probably some of the first fanfictions I read were the Eye Project, and InFinity, both of which are great books.
After around I posted a character app in the Eye Project, (Not exact time, not sure what it was) I wanted to try out my own story, however, it did kinda fail.. But, after time I got more inspiration and created The Aether's Rage, which lived for so much longer than my other book did. Eventually around the middle of the story, a bit after the idea of Rift came out, I posted my story on Minefic, and probably what encouraged me to do so is other Rift project people joining it too. Even though my story still didn't get much comments, I appreciate what Minefic has done for so many other story writers who just want to get popular. And I dedicate this post for the farewell of Minefic, for possibly a long time. And my last words about Minefic are:
Thank you for being so supportive of story writers Farteh16, and I thank you for making Minefic.
I never actually used Minefic, but... well, it was a rare thing that actually helped people with their stories. I was thinking about adding my (now removed) How To Not Live Forever to it, but, sadly, never got around to it. I know how many views and such it brought in for other people. I think it also helped make the Literature Subtopic a little bit more popular, as you had a run-down of the stories instead of just the title to go by (leading to people actually reading a story for what it is rather than what it's called.)
So with that, I throw the ashes of Minefic into the sea, where, hopefully, they will find a home on the bottom, housing whatever else wants to live down there.
However, let us suppose that Minefic has not been burnt that badly. Perhaps it is a third degree burn, but we can still revive it. It just takes ointment, time, and hope.
This leads me to conclude that you, Farteh, can create a new Minefic forum. I'm sure that it will take forever, however, think of what it would mean to people. And this time, actually save the forum on another document.
Here's an emoticon to make people not as sad! XD Wait a second... I was RIGHT !?!??! There was no literature subtopic six months ago!?
I KNEW IT!
Oh wait... there was, wasn't there...

Oh man, not... not Minefic. The thread was important in a somewhat symbolic nature to me, as I was one of the very first on the list. (Indeed, I think it was my very own Fallen Kingdom in which Farteh was inspired to make Minefic happen?) It was an amazing life raft in an ocean of signature/banner shops, and I was amazed to see it reach where it did. Now, there's an entire literature section dedicated to none other than us, the creative minds of writers, and I like to think I was part of what made that happen. I'm so happy to see that now it isn't just a couple people whose hobby is writing dumping their works here, like how it was back when Minefic was made. Now there's a community here of people I wouldn't hesitate to call awesome, who all enjoy the things we create. In a way, Minefic was a catalyst of growth, and its job has been done. Have peaceful dreams, Minefic.

Thank you, everyone. Your quotes are added to the thread. I cut-pasted the broken code as a chance to maybe start anew.
All good things come to an end, but Minefic was more than just a good thing. It was a great thing. It was more than just pieces of writing being pasted on a thread. It was a community. Minefic got my story booming, and I hope that all people will remember this and still use it.
Minefic will still live in our stories, though not the same. We will not forget what Farteh16 did to bring all of us writers together. From a simple story to a giant list of them, Minefic is an eternal memory.
No... I'm serious, some of us (those of us that are not going on a three month hiatus to Greece, that is) should band together to manage another Minefic thread.
And... by the way... Farteh, I'm so happy that you created the Literature sub-topic almost singlehandedly. ((WORD CREATION FAIL!))
My stories needed a home.
If only my parents would let me post any of them. D;

Don't you have the little thing on your post-box that allows you to revert to an earlier version of the post?
