The Pigmen don't live in the Nether, ZombiePigmen do, Pigmen aren't even in the game yet. So I think you should change it to when they were in the Nether for too long, also counting the intense heat, that there skin peeled of and they turned into a mutated creature. You also explain there sword and lava slimes.

New player I guess... "Hipo" is the name some guy gave to his pet slime (later made into a mod). Slime is the name of the mob, and hipo is the name of an specific one.
