ive thought about it and look. I like that you wrote an awesome story like this at all but i know that you were going for an unhappy ending but you never said the sequel would be bad. wait, you implied that. okay your a writer, a really good one. like, better than those a-holes who write 4 a company and retrict their writing like dicks. you never said if you would give your sequel a happy ending or not. the reason people are so f**king hooked is cause without the happy ending they'll want more. escentially you can keep this going on all long as you want because unhappy ending doesnt feel right and if you sequel a happy ending with an unhappy ending. profit???? please just end it with something that isnt worse than death. you've already put the unhappy ending on the first one. dont do that again please. (unless trilogy)
sorry for the long post.

I see where you're coming from, but there's two major problems with your post.
1) As far as I've seen, no author actually writes for a company. Even the most major of books you'll read are sole authors who spend their own time planning and writing, and the big company you see is just the publisher. The people who make it a book, distribute, and get profit for the author so he/she can continue writing.
2) Un-happy endings don't necessarily spell cliffhanger. Haven't you read the Hunger Games trilogy? I wouldn't call that a happy ending in Book 3, but she ended it there. Sure, it makes you want more, but that's not why I do it in the least bit.

So there's this thingy I wrote, and it even has a sequel in progress! But instead of writing like a good little boy I just play Minecraft, or whatever games on my Steam library I haven't finished yet. Oh, and Borderlands 2 is the greatest thing to grace the human race (Mechromancer ftw).
Now there is no question at this point. I am writing the sequel. I am also editing this story. What I want to know is what you guys want in regards to where to put it. See, I know you guys really like this story, but I've evolved a lot since I started (What? Calvez is evolving? XD) So I can't stand to read this back and keep it as it is. There's some cheesy dialogue, a few things people do just seem off, I just cringe at how badly done some parts are. So I've been working on editing it. I want to make sure, though, that its okay with you guys if I replace it as is. The plot, events, everything will be the same, but it's just that some specifics will change. And think of it this way, if it changes you can always say, "Yeah, I read that back before the edit."

Anyway, Prologue done, just a few more minor changes to be made, then uploading. And Chapter 1 is well on the way, but the Chapters will be MUCH, MUCH longer this time around. More like real sized chapters. Prologue is a little short, though. At least you know I'm working.
In other news, the panda has expholiated. Lasagna?

Just to let you know in case you were wondering (which I doubt you were), I just changed the first post of chapters to the edited version, as I just finished getting that far. The rest will definitely be a different case to edit, as I stopped right where it starts getting....weird...and the story requires some more in depth thought behind the dialogue and scenes.
Anyways, if you get around to re-reading this version criticism is as welcome as ever!

*Cue long heart-felt apology to cover up my past laziness*
Anyways, yes I've been absent for about a month. And yes, It's because I've been playing Mass Effect. Sue me.
Nevertheless, I really am sorry I broke my last promise of a June 15th edit and the only thing I can do now is not make another one, since I'll almost definitely break that one.

I'm going to re-read a couple of Minecraft Fanfictions because I don't have ANYTHING to read (irl). So yeah. I'm starting with you. Feel special. Now....
PS: This story affected me on so many different levels... all of my writing is somehow DIRECTLY influenced from this piece.
It is that epic. (Actually, considering I read it back when it had just come out, I barely remember anything from it at all. All I can remember is that it was one of THE best stories I have ever read. Wait... I remember... I read it back when the Epilogue had just come out.
Epic. I want to read it again, but I need to take an IQ test. D:

OnceInALongTime: "You confuse me, Mage. Amazability should be a word so I could describe your words."
I forgot to mention how influential to the MCF community as a whole this writing was - you'll notice that the Steves of Minecraftian literature really began to drop out after this was published (it had begun a while before this, but it was really captured and released by this story in particular.)
This story was able to do this because it showed all those who read it that Minecraft fanfics merely had to have some tie to the world - the same setting, in many cases, such as blocks, short days, healing with pork, etc. But you could edit the canon - drastically, adding abilities, dimensional rips, other things that make the story so much better...
This story showed us how to use Minecraft as a platform instead of a template - we can build off of it, now, instead of building to its form.
I love you, oh genius Calvez. I am still eagerly awaiting the sequel! Yes! It is true! After all this time, I still want the sequel.
And, because no one has posted it yet, Happy New Years to the A Million Hours Fangroup!
May A Thousand Days be posted soon! We hope!

*claps*
I remember reading this story a year ago before I signed up on here. I just checked this out and I'm like "Wait, is this..." and I skimmed through it and I was like "HOLY COW IT IS! It's that story I read three billion years ago."
You're welcome. I periodically revive this in order to attempt a guilt trip of Calvez.
xD
Still.
We want a sequel.
PS: hgn1, he doesn't need to feel special because you've read his work. His work is too good for you to suggest that, because you are reading it, he should feel special.
Just saying.

I can't express the amount of deep feels I have...
Anyways, This is unimaginable. The amount of words and deep thinking that I realized was phenomenal. Some of the people in the story made me think about my life and how I should utilize it. The story was a bit on the wrong side, but it was well worth it. I, TheArchangel, recognize you as a author with worth equal to Suzanne Collins, creator of the Hunger Games Trilogy. I actually want you for my series I am about to start as a co-author. Also, the plot twists involved were a bit overdone. This made me think of people in the story as backstabbers. Plz try to avoid that!
Well, crap. I'm writing a damn college entrance essay about this.
*Slaps you, Calvez*
That's for inspiring so much of my life >_< I DETEST YOU >O<
Jk jk jk, I really don't. Have I ever told you that you literally changed my entire life with this story? So much has happened since freaking 2012 literally only because of this book.
I think I have, in great depth and with much fanboying, expounded at length upon that which this story changed in my life.
I miss you and I don't know if you're okay, but I wait for you on my email.
Have a good day <3
