I awoke startled by a sound. I sat up and looked around and saw that I appeared to be on a sandy beach next to a vast ocean and on the other side was a dense forest filled with massive trees. Then panic seized me and I nearly fainted when I realized what this meant I may never return home again, wherever that was anyway.
I then saw movement in the bushes near the forest. I quickly stood up and started walking over to the bush each step filling me with more fear. I then moved past the bush and saw the source of the movement. It was a white fluffy animal about waist high and was grazing on some grass. I tried to touched the animal but it quickly moved away, I then took a handful of the grass it loved so much and held it near the animal. Slowly it moved towards my open palm and took the grass in its mouth. I then held up some more grass to it and again it ate from my hand. When I decided I have had enough fun I got up and began to walk into the forest. But the animal was following me everywhere I went. So I then decided to give it a name, which made me realize that I needed a name to. I pondered on what our names should be and then i finally decided that my name should Adum and the animals name shall be Thomas.
I then saw something white on the ground. I ran over to it, Thomas on my heels. Picking it up I noticed that it was a book wrapped in leather with some weather worn text and the only readable letters on it were
"H-- to S--vi-e Y--r F-rst Nig-- In T--- W--ld. By David Xryt"
I cracked it open and I mean LITERALLY cracked it open. I then read the entire thing front to back. So far what I have learned was that:
-There are these "beast" that come on at night.
-They only come out in dark, but they can go into the light.
-You must find a black rock known as "coal" in order light up the dangerous night.
-You must create tools using a thing known as a "crafting bench".
-The ingredients to "craft" theses tools.
-You must make a shelter the beast cannot get into. Either out of rock, dirt, wood, or a natural cave.
-There are 4 docile creatures known as Sheep(which apparently is what Thomas is), Cow, Pig, and Chicken.
-In order to gather wood you must punch at trees until you get planks.
-Certain materials in this world can "float"
After I was done making the list with a pencil I have found in the pages of this book I then noticed I had about 2 hours of sunlight left. I quickly got to work and made a tool known as a "pickaxe" out of wood. Which I then used to gather some stone and the coal used for torches to protect from the monsters. I then quickly found a suitable cave for me to set up home. And got to work making it livable, I even make a small room for Thomas. I noticed that the sun was setting and it was getting darker by the second. So I quickly set up torches around the "house" and covered the entrance up only leaving a hole for me to peek out of.
After a couple hours I then saw something that I will never forget. It was a skeleton that was pure white and holding a bow in its hand. It then saw me and all I heard was a *thwang* and felt a massive pain in my shoulder and I looked over at the shoulder and saw what looked like an arrow. I instantly blacked out.
