I decided today to go on a journey, far far away. I live in a small 'villa' consisting of three buildings; a mine, a tower and my own personal abode. I was sitting on the dock, or more like a plank of wood, if anything, and I had an idea. I could continue to mine, and build, what with the tower unfinished, or I could battle it out with zombies, skeletons and spiders... But as droplets of the sea water landed on my face, cooling me down in the hot air, I decided to do something different. I opened my chest, containing my dearest treasures. I took out my good old cyan shirt and blue pants. I hung the clothes I was wearing into the spring water, while I tapped sand out of my shoes into the sea. I sighed, and cracked my knuckles. I ran back inside, and formed a boat. Sure, it wasn't perfect, but it was not to last. It was built for ease. I built several boats, I managed to carry them all, the smallest would only carry me, but the largest could carry all sorts of things. I heaved the boat into the water, drenching my pants, making them feel dirty before my trip had begun. I sighed, and shook my hair. This was a new start, in a way.
As I hopped into my boat, the moon already started to rise. The leaves and branches on the ground formed together to create creepers, zombies rose from ground, and the spiders... Well, I don't really know where they come from. I had a paddle, but decided to just let the wind take me. The wind was blowing south, so my journey is going to take me south. I could see my villa far away, and see the tower's silhouette against the sunset. I lived in a small quay, that had as much plant life as a tropical area, but the trees had a more temperate feel. I passed large valleys, and hills, back at the villa, you could only barely see them on the horizon, up close, they are a lot more intimidating. I looked up at the night sky, staring at the clouds, they were plenty, but they were all small in size. I felt a chill, and looked to the left. Snow. I had never seen snow before, yet it was so close when I was in a boat. A problem arose. The water ahead was frozen solid. I went right, into a small river, and tried my luck there, but to no avail. I would either have to break through the ice, or simply abandon my first boat.
I breathed in, and punched the ice with my bare hand. It hurt, but I've been subjected to a lot more pain in my life, so it was nothing. I continued breaking the ice, which was a tad difficult in the middle of the night, and temperatures so low, but I believed in myself. I looked up, and there was a creeper in the distance. Surely this was not a good sign. I took heed in this warning and looked all around, but that was the only monster I could see, so I continued. I physically got out of the boat, so I could break the ice faster, because this one creeper was living to its name; giving the creeps. I looked at it again, closest to it than I had ever been. Luckily, it decided to take a dip and was further away from me. I broke all the ice, but when I destroyed the last meter or so, I lost my footing, and fell into the cold water. Shivering, I pushed the boat off, and went into the fetal position, rubbing my chest, hoping the start of my journey wouldn't be the end.

bump and more story. :biggrin.gif:
The currents and the wind and my unlucky push landed me in a spot of trouble. Leaning over the boat was the creeper. A hissing noise was made. I closed my eyes and covered my face. The small explosion could have killed a man, but I was lucky to survived. In fact, I wasn't half bad. The boat had shattered into pieces. I wasn't in cold water anymore, but I was still uncomfortable, more than I wanted. I looked south; my destination, and there were skeletons, spiders, and all these terrible things just loitering ahead. A small island to the west was isolated, and I decided to take refuge. Like a small animal, I created a burrow, and dug my self a safe house underground. I didn't know what I would do in the morning, but I knew I was safe. For now. I fell into a simple sleep, not fully unconscious, as I was still scared and cold, but I had recovered mostly, so I got up and checked outside. All the monsters were still there. I looked at the moon, it was only hours before sunrise, but then something caught my attention. Pumpkins! I rarely saw pumpkins, so I thought, 'Heck, why not?' and started walking towards the pumpkins. I could see multiple red eyes belonging to several spiders, but they didn't worry me, not yet at least. I heard the growls of a zombie, but even that didn't stop me. I picked all the pumpkins, and even some brown mushrooms, and the sun rising was a sign of new hope, but wind echoed throw a cave. I looked at the cave, and curiosity took hold of me. Cautiously, looking down below, making sure I didn't fall, or have a zombie pop out in front of me, I ventured inwards, and suddenly a giant spider, spanning 3 or 4 meters wide, lunged at me from above. Its large pincers grabbed my torso, breaking skin, and grazing bone, but I pushed it off me.
I ran away, hurdling over a hill, but it followed me, and could crawl over any obstacle that I jumped over. I ran into a herd of sheep, who all took my lead and began running in the direction I was, away from the spider. Taking note of close skeletons and zombies, I continued running to my little burrow. I crawled on top of it, panting, bleeding, crying. I watched as the spiders fled, the creepers fell apart, and the skeletons and zombies caught on fire. I didn't feel too well anymore, if i had to rate my hearts, it would've been about two and a half out of ten, which isn't the best. I stared at a flower, and decided that I had to keep going. I knew that this sort of thing was going to happen, I just didn't realize it would be so soon. I looked at all the sheep and cows, and, while they had meat, I wasn't sure how to cure the meat before I ate it, so I decided to leave them be, and if I was lucky enough to come by a pig, I would kill it. I swam to my boat, or the remains, and heaved the other boats from under the water. I had two left, and I pulled them with my remaining strength up from the bottom of the small sea I was in. As I hit the surface, the sun hit the water droplets in the right way to make a rainbow. I was optimistic again, and my optimism was well placed. Two pigs, right there. I jumped out of my boat and ran at them. They both boar (excuse my pun, journal) no meat. I walked with my head down back to the boat, and sat in it.
I drifted, sailed, and paddled south. Eventually my seafaring came to an end. After a short uneventful trip, the rarest thing I saw being coal, I just shrugged this small trip, and set foot on land. It was good, and firm, unlike boats. A small pond was on the other side of a lot of reeds. I decided to go around it, I wasn't interested in more water. This was an obscure pond, with grass to water, and sand to water, and then ice to water. I decided to name it, a landmark, if you will. This would be my fourth landmark. Calci Villa (it's pronounced Kal-Chi, Journal, gosh.), Isle of Ice, The Burrow, and Elemental Pond. I know they're far-fetched, but they sure are catchy, and sure make the story telling a lot more interesting. I made my way around Elemental Pond, and climbed up the cliffs surrounding it southern side. My jaw dropped, for miles, and miles, was ice, snow, and just, cold. I looked down, to the icy land, and noticed something strange. A small spiral had been carved into the ice. This, Journal, cannot be natural. It was a perfectly made spiral, definitely not natural. Did I mention how this spiral isn't natural?! I spent my whole alone, the only other person I've seen is an old friend, whose name I can only vaguely remember: Adreon Leonardo. He helped me build my villa, but he left. Perhaps this spiral is his doing. I hope so. I miss him.

I ventured over the ice, and onto snow. It was snowing, and I hadn't planned for cold weather, so I took refuge in a cave. There was coal, iron, well, there were a lot of things. But I decided not to venture too far, I was already in bad shape, and one simple fall that I could of survived days ago would kill me now. After the bad weather subsided, I continued south, and a sheep, blending in with the snow, scared the bejeesus out of me. I climbed another mountain, and ahead was more snow. I was going to die of frostbite before I even saw another interesting landmark. There was another change in the terrain up ahead, trees coming out of the ground for once. This was a good sign. I took a tumble, and hurt my knee. I felt only twenty percent of what I used to be. I pulled my head out of the snow and saw, in the distance. A towering - tower. It looked like it was made out of earth. I decided this would be my next stop. I found another pig, but it was frozen, and worthless to eat. I walked through flowers and trees, and hoped that over this next hill would have some grass. I heaved myself up and over, and found, on the floor, leather, and a feather. How appropriate. I reached the base of the tower, and there was a small bunker, with wooden stairs.
I was close, I had to be. Not exactly sure what I was doing, I cut down a tree, made a chest, and put all the unnecessary items into it. I needed to travel light. I walked outside, and looked up at the sky, searching for the sun. It was setting. Not now, but certainly in a few minutes. Mulling it over, I decided to continue, I would rather settle the night in heat, not cold, or at least not THIS cold. A pig! Another. I tackled it, and opened it almost instantly. I got the meat I needed. I certainly felt better now. I walked down the snowy hill and climbed up the grassy one, and came face to face with a large, luscious valley. As it got darker, I hollowed out a tree trunk, and made myself a suitable resting place. Surprisingly comfortable, and allowed me to see all around without being in danger. I wasn't sure I was completely safe, but I had faith in myself. While I looked ridiculous I wasn't a complete idiot. I saw some creepers hanging around. They looked as if they were conversing. It was intriguing. Perhaps Creepers are sentient, like wolves, and such. I fell asleep again. But this time...
Where was I? The Villa, I could tell by the smell in the air, and the talking. I was a child; with Adreon. We were playing with blocks. It was night. The candles attached to the walls were flickering, struggling. It must of been windy. There! The window. It wasn't there at all, just a empty space. I recall, me and Adreon built the window later in our lives, during our young adolescent hood. But the larger window had been completed. That was good. It looked good. Stain glassed, a picture of both of the families. Leonardo, and Aero. Me, my father, and mother, and Adreons parents and his sister. A candle dropped. It echoed unnaturally. Hissing could be heard. Creepers jumped in, they were all around. They all exploded. The window shattered, raining glass on the Leondardo's. My father rushed to them. A skeleton jumped on him, choking him with its bow. A piece of the building fell on top of me and my mother, I pulled myself out, but my mother was no longer here, no matter how much her body was. Me and Adreon got out our wooden swords. Spiders crawled in, and they looked at us. They could have killed us, but they looked at a creeper, who was crawling away, and they fled as well. Our families were dead. We didn't cry. We knew there was no point. There was no point to talk, no point to laugh, no point to seek vengeance. We just built and built, making the mine, the tower, and rebuilding the house. Time was skipping a lot. I was hugging him. He was leaving. He couldn't stay, he couldn't stand remembering. He left. South. He turned to me. His face was a spider. No, the spiders face was his. Wait.
I blinked several times, spiders were crawling all around the trunk, trying to get to me. I sniffed. I had tears on my cheeks. I stretched my face, and crawled out of my hidey hole, and walked over the trees, running from these spiders. I sniffed again. I couldn't help but be paranoid. I thought these were the same spiders as the night my family died.
'**** off!' I shouted, and they seemed to give off, or it could have been because i was sprinting away. I looked back north and saw the tower, it was very far away, I could almost not see it. Maybe I will find Adreon. Wouldn't that be lovely. For now, I head south. I walked for a bit, and found a waterfall. Interesting, I hadn't seen one for a while. I waded through some water to get closer to it, and found a small island. It was shaped as a cross, or crucifix. Christ Falls. But then I noticed clay and decided not to get religious. Clay Falls. I did have to dig it out a little, but I got to the top of Clay Falls. I looked east and saw pumpkins, but decided they were useless. I didn't eat them, so south it was. There were red poppies. Not a lot, but enough to get my attention. I decided I would make my own landmark. I made a pyramid, and a sign. On the sign, I wrote 'We remember because we want to forget.'
MOD EDIT: No bumping unless you're adding content/responding to something, your thread isn't more important than the ones you knocked off the list to move this one up. If it sinks it sinks. Its a cruel world out there.
I'm hardly an expert on creative writing, but If I could suggest one thing: this story would be even better with just a little bit of characterization. Who is MacAlister Aero? What is he thinking? Why does he want to do something different? It feels a little bit like the reader is just being plunged into his journey without any background. A little more description of the main character and his story would go a long way in my opinion.
I certainly wouldn't mind seeing the rest of this story. If people troll you, so be it, never mind them. What matters is what you think.
(Oh, and this may be in the wrong forum. I think creative writing is supposed to go in the Arts & Creativity section. Just ask a mod to move it.)
Now I feel like an idiot ;-; I was wondering why a community like this didn't have as many 'fanfics'
So yeah, mods, read this, move this, thankyou :smile.gif:
I realized this, riseoflegends, so I do try to go onto depth about him, later on in the story - A few paragraphs away :biggrin.gif:
