Oh, and when the server updates to 1.8(I know it will take a while) make sure that lapis is accessible, preferably through mines and/or shop, because it is now needed for enchanting.

These late nights with no one on are getting quite boring.
I feel really bad about it... when I'm not sleeping, writing reports, and working with my ATMega328. Aside from just "spending more time on the server" Is there anything you were looking to do?
Hey, just wanted to post here saying my friend Tandemsrevenge and I have been really enjoying the server and thanks to a player named Pichu for helping us out.
One thing I'd like to know is why there's so few people online, it's crazy for me to see that me and my friend only encountered one other person so far on the server. What's the deal with that? So far that's my main complaint for the server.
Also, I'd definitely update the tutorial saying that the key frames don't work anymore. Me and my friend were confused about that for a while.
Anyways, thank you for your time and the awesome server! Have a good one haha.

Well, I used to be online quite a bit, but I don't have much of a goal at the moment. I got shown one of the upcoming maps for the new paintball minigame, so I've been waiting it out until the new areas.

I have a few ideas about why there are so few people online... But it's just speculation.
The most common answer to your question is that people are too busy with school/work/whatever at the beginning of the school year. This answer seems to be the most legitimate but it's been 2-3 weeks since the start of school, and some would expect more people to be back online by now. On top of this, some players are not even in school, or are not in more strenuous classes. (Such as college or upper level courses in high school)
I suppose that it's possible that everyone has commitments or issues outside of DD that prevent them from being online a decent amount of time, (which is the case for me) but it would be impossible for me or anyone in general to determine that all of the regular players have obstacles in their way.
In short, a good percentage of Gladiators are waiting for the release of more content and are doing other things in the meantime. They have stockpiled enough resources, money, and knowledge to give them a head start into the full release of DD.
Question: How will players' items/resources/money transfer into the full release of DD?
Yeah those are the most likely reasons not too many existing players are online, but why the lack of new players?
Maybe it's the forum page's title. Personally, I don't think I'd click on a server in the "Recent Topics" section if all I saw was "☠☠☠ DEADMAN DUNG". Maybe the OP should consider changing the title to something a little more pleasant and explaining of what the server actually has to offer. This of course all is just my opinion though, I won't be offended if somebody disagrees.
One thing I've noticed though is that it's fairly easy to level up from the Sewers to Ruins, I haven't attempted to level up any further, but if it's just as easy to rank up in the next ranks I think the economy should be evaluated. The Sewers to Ruins ranking is definitely too easy at the moment, I'd suggest making it a lot harder. Again just my opinion haha

Good question... I think that Muffin and Weasel are saving advertisements and publicity until the full release. (Just my opinion, nothing official, so someone please verify)
Any and all suggestions/criticism are welcome so don't be afraid to express your opinion(s). I think that your suggestion for the OP is a valid one, especially coming from a new player. It's kind of difficult to get new first impression from someone like myself because it's not our "first impression," if you know what I mean.

Ignorance is bliss... perhaps for the sake of your sanity you shouldn't continue... (lol just kidding) Just rank up and you'll see things become more difficult.
Hmm, not how I would do things personally, but I respect their choices if that's what they're planning on doing.
And sorry, I meant to put that "if" in there, it's edited in. It was a little late, my mind wasn't right. But aside from that, and maybe I just wrote that last sentence poorly, but I know that things will get tougher later on, I mean that's just how it works, I was merely saying that it should be much harder to rank up past the first rank, and unless ranking up from Ruins to the next rank will take somebody at least a week of average playing, then I feel that the economy or rank prices should be evaluated. Again, this is all just my opinion.
Thanks for the reply though Puni, have a good one.

Recently I noticed that the blaze rods in the sand pit map chest are killing the alchemy economy which is quite unfortunate. Nah was worried something like this would happen in the past, but this is to the extreme. To this point everyone has a brewing stand and lots of them too. Alchemy mmo sort of slows down the amount of potions decreasing, but before it's too late we need to cut off that supply of rods before everyone gets a hold on them.

I TOLD YOU GUYS TO KEEP IT A SECRET, BUT NOOOOO, YOU HAD TO TELL EVERYONE AND NOW THE ALCHEMY ECONOMY'S GONE TO ****.
(oh **** I need to make sure I'm still at the top of alchemy)
edit: whew, still on top of things, but I really need to get back to work.
Where did you get the wordmap for that sig? Did you just put in a bunch of common words? That's amazing!

Think I missed it, and I accidently left the cookies in the milk so it's just a nasty, soggy, warm cookie shake, and ew is that mold? Disgusting.
Next time man haha, I'll make sure Tandy's online too.
