Here's a quick update on things.
Been coding for the last couple of days and this is what we have.
Custom Coded Bank System:
Armor System (WIP Today)
Custom coded pets:
(Doppleganger and Siamese Cat)
NPCs & their Shops:
Thanks for all the continued love and support by the way. It means a whole lot to us.
Also, all this was coded in house. We decided not to use any third-party plugins for our game because we wanted to have full control and management over how things work.

Comments: I'm currently trying to construct my own server, and I'm trying to learn programming so I can make some plugins for games I have, but specifically I need an intense economy plugin. If you're willing I'd be really appreciative to see any sort of source or at least the idea behind how you did yours. Because of the way I'm setting things up (I'm partially building this for some colleagues) I need three different, various world compatible currencies. Any help in that area would be awesome, you can state conditions (if you're willing to divulge info).
Only other thing I'd add is I am a huge fan of building structures in survival, so I wanted to know if their would be opportunities for that here (you didn't really address the open-world/building/sandbox part of minecraft being on this server). I'm happy to help if you need someone on any other type of building project though. I work slow, but I've been told I'm a good builder (I'm not exactly the best judge of myself :P).

Quick update. We're running behind in schedule as some of our map-developers have been busy and our team has reduced a little bit. No matter though, a lot the game's server code has been completed and we're ~70% done the code.
Hey guys! Like promised, I wanted to update everybody on the progress of CSO. We've slowed things down and things might take longer than expected.
Most of the backend code is ready, most of the systems are done besides Guilds and smaller things that are to compliment gameplay. Core stuff is all done.
Map wise, we're struggling to keep output of good maps and so far we've slowed things down in that department. I've planned to work on the maps alongside the map team so CSO can come out cleanly without having inconsistencies from design and actual gameplay.
We're looking at beta near the end of April, possibly mid April.
That's it for this short update, we'll be sure to keep everyone posted.
I just wanted to update the progress of the server.
As of right now I'm starting to begin working on the server again, as now it's a one man project instead of a team based project. This means that working alone, things will take longer and overall some compromises have to be made.
This has been a long decision to make, but after all the thought I've decided on this:
- Compromise: Map detail, map quality: This means that I won't be putting as much time into creating nice buildings, or super detailed landscapes.
Why?: It's time consuming, and the projected gains are minimal.
- Focus: Game content: I will be focusing more on game content. This includes quests, monsters, player customization, features, etc.
Why?: As I've surveyed the server population as a whole, with past experiences, this seemed to be the most standout thing that players really enjoyed.
So when is this all going to be done?
To simply put, in the upcoming months. Expect a beta late Spring, and a launch late Spring to early Summer.

Sad to hear you're going at this alone, but do you mean that it's always going to be a one person thing? I imagine eventually you'd go and have some build team revamp whatever landscape/buildings you ask for, there are a lot around. Best of luck!

Yeah, I would like to hire more developers for the mapping side of the game further down the road, but for now it's me doing solid 8 hr loops around the clock to push this out for you guys! Thanks, will need it, and coffee, loooots of coffee!
