No problem. What you like to know about the mob arena idea? We want to have a mob arena in survival that all players can join on either teams or solo if they so chose. What would you like to see added to this concept?
Basically, you want a dungeon plugin. That's what I'm hearing, right?
Well from what I have been told by staff it should not take up much in terms of server resources and we have had something similar in the past. So tell me does the concept of having a round based mob arena sound good to you?
Well in all seriousness nova let me ask this question to you. Would you like to see a public mob arena? If so what do you want to see added to it? The ideas are scrambled for the time being but I do want everyone input as I am actually very serious about it. It is sort of a two birds with one stone way of going about it.
It's an okay idea, however, putting mob arenas in survival (dungeon plugin, whatever plugin it would take) would likely take up a lot of resources. We used to have a mob arena in minigames and the plugin wasn't compatible with something else and it broke, but an idea like this was discussed, or an idea of the sorts had been discussed in the past.

I think you are talking about the issue where the server was hacked and we lost a lot of mini-games but I have been told by other staff that the idea is possible and should not take up much in terms of server resources if done properly. My other thought was to turn the mob arena idea into a monthly contest where players could build different mob arenas and the top 5 for that month could be used as the actual arenas. Good idea concept or no let me know what you think?

Yes I agree with Astro nova please let us know what you think of what Astro said and thank you for your help.

The idea itself is fine and could be fun, but there's several problems. A.) Most of the time when players fight mobs together, items get mixed up and stolen and staff have to come and sort through everything. It's a huge problem withh battleboxes as well as Enderdragon and stuff, so there'd have to be an ensured way that either the players could keep all their items sorted out or that people who died just automatically lost all there items. So maybe there'd be Mob arena kits of things of that sort, but if you were bringing your own gear there's gonna be a lot of whining, stealing, whatever. B.) I see this less as a survival thing and more of a minigames thing, as it was in the past. I just see it causing problems in the survival server, especially if set up improperly.
Either way, a rounded mob arena could be fun, but I do think you should post of minecove.net just to get some more concrete imput, maybe in the survival discussions forum. I don't know if you've talked to Val yet, but you really should do so even if it's not complete, just so you know if it's possible before you put everything together

The idea of having the arenas built via contest is cool. Aside from my opinions about whether or not it's possible, I would like to see it done in levels, as it was done in minigames previously. Increasingly harder, et cetera. I think if it were done in survival, each level you pass should give an amount of lunas or what have you, maybe prize token if you reach level 10, et cetera

Ah wonderful. However players are not taking their own gear into this arena. They are instead given a standard set on entry to the arena that they selected AKA a class like Archer, tank, warrior, etc. To answer the second problem you have is simple to understand. Was leaderboards a survival deal either? I would say no and my other problem is the fact that minigames is dead and I want something to boost reasons to play in survival. Also in conclusion I do intend to put a full detail report on the Minecove.net fourm page soon. This is just to generate player thoughts before I make a formal letter. So thank you for your input. Let me know if you have any further questions.
What can i say about Minecove! i have been playing for a few years now, and during this time i have tried to see what other servers offered, each and every time i find myself back at Minecove (even after i lost years of work do to not seeing the new map notices (my bad)). the staff are helpfull and friendly, the player are fun and talented, and you don't have to spend money like crazy to enjoy the game. we have creative maps, survival maps, and a spawner map. all in all this is my favorite server. i plane on staying with this server for many more years to come. Thanks Val for the fun times.
So there's a few things that can keep you on a server - persistence, utility, and community. Minecove has all of them.
It gets persistence from plugins like McMMO or the currency, which give you something you've worked on to come back to besides builds (we've all worked on and abandoned builds, and we can build anywhere). The boost at the beginning - 1500 mcmmo credits - helps to get that started without being too game-breaky. Beyond that, there's a persistence of builds - when the server resets, when a map has to be updated, when a new version we all want to try comes out, the server staff works super hard to make sure that peoples' builds, lands, inventories, whatever all get transferred over. Because of that, I've been working on this same build for almost a year, off and on, and am able to keep coming back to it.

More or less but we are discussing what format we want to see it in. What do you think?
A Dungeon plugin would take up a lot of resources

If you hadn't noticed, GoogleSheet and I share the same opinion :3
It's not a bad idea. It would be fun, I'm just concerned about the possibility of the idea. Would definitely talk to Val about it
Minecove is great. You can go there to not be judged and you are always able to come back from a mistake.
So long and thanks for all the fish

Thank you for that very kind note drifter, it means a lot coming from one of our dedicated players
