-Character Occupation: Unemployed and looking for work.
-Character description:
Abby is a purple-haired female around 5'7". She has pale skin, green eyes, and a cheerful smile.
She wears a white blouse, lavender skirt, leather boots and gloves, and her mother's hand-me-down chestplate.
-Character personality and traits:
Abby is a kind, cheerful young woman, looking to help those in need and have a little fun. She can have a slight sarcastic tone to her when annoyed, but will never lie unless it's to protect another. She always keeps to her word, and loves making new friends.
But don't make her mad. With that bubbly fun personality comes, what she calls, "Her little voices". Having anxiety, forming the correct words can come to her as difficult at times. That's when the little voice takes over, and talks some sense into whoever made her mad or depressed, sometimes going as far as violence. She doesn't mean most of what she says when she's like this, and tries her best to make it up to whoever she may have hurt.
-Character biography:
Abby grew up with her mother and father in a happy little family. She learned most of what she knows from those years. Around her mid teens, however, her father was reported missing. And then dead. It is unknown how he died, but it looked like a murder to who dare saw his corpse. Abby was never the same, wandering around the world aimlessly, trying to forget. 2 years later, her mother was also murdered, leaving Abby in despair.
To this day, she wanders around, looking for anything and everything to do with her life other than worry. Despite her hurt and sorrow, she keeps a smile plastered on her face, and a cheerful glint in her eyes, bringing those around her the happiness she once had.
-Please give us a short RP response to these two scenarios.
You’re walking around the markets at around noon. There’s a lot of
people around you, still gathering their items as they prepare to shut
down their many stands. Suddenly you feel a gentle lifting of your coin
purse as a child graces you and soon after they take off sprinting. You
have been robbed.
Answer:
Confused, I look around, spotting the child and running after them. "Hey! Come back here!" I shout, doing my best to dodge the several people ahead of me. I run as fast as my feet can take me, before tripping and falling atop the child. "Sorry! But... that's mine." I apologize and take my money back from him. Feeling generous, I open the bag and give him one coin. "Now be on your way."
You’re heading back to the city through the woods when you hear a
whining coming from nearby. Upon further investigation you come across a
grey-coloured wolf that appears to have its leg caught in a bear trap.
Around it is three smaller lumps of fur, obviously puppies belonging to
the trapped mother. Without help, they’ll all die, but wolf skins are
quite valuable too, not to mention that the nearby farms suffer quite a
bit from the wolf population.
Answer:
I rush to the wolf's side, inspecting the wound. Noting that it's almost all the way through her leg, I feel pity for her. I attempt to pull it off, only to hurt her more. I knew that there was no saving her from this. "I'll take care of the pups, kay?" I whisper, petting the wolf's fur gently. Once I have the wolf relaxed, I pull out a dagger and put the poor thing out of her misery, taking the pups in as my own.
-Describe to us why you wish for your character to have magical capabilities:
In many roleplays that I use this OC in, she happens to be a witch. Seeing as that did not happen to be an option, I chose to make her human for this roleplay. I would like it if I could have such capabilities for my character, but if that is not possible, I can live without.
-Please give an example in your own words describing the limitations placed upon those who use magic:
Magic is a very difficult thing to use. It requires lots of practice and special capabilities to use magic, as well as a sheer amount of focus.
A normal human being who happens to stumble upon some weird artifact can't just use it. Only a select few can.
-Please give a simple description of the magic system in your own words:
A select few humans can use magic. Those gifted, have to train for years to get stronger, and must consistently train to keep it up, similar to exercising. Those who wish to use their magic must have an artifact, ranging from weak to divine, the weak ones easiest to use.
Your character is PENDING
Your magic application is ACCEPTED
Excellent! This application looks great now, thank you for taking the time to work on what parts needed work!
There's just one tiny issue left, though. High-elf males range in height from 6 foot 10 to 7 foot 2. Anything higher or lower is extremely, extremely rare. Please edit accordingly, as 7 foot 3 is too tall.
Hey there Abby, there are a few things in your application that need some work. For starters, near all of the responses are too short, please take another look at our size requirements for all questions. Your character's backstory doesn't seem to include any of our world's lore, either. Please re-read the setting in which our world takes place, and the recent events, historically speaking. Character backstories don't have to include every detail of the lore, but some mention lets us know you took the time to read through. What might help is if you answer questions such as "how did the pact war affect your character's family's livelihood?", or other things like that.
Similarly to the rest of the application, your magic app needs to be longer. We only accept very high quality magic applications, and there are size requirements for paragraphs, too. Please re-read the info on our magic system, and take a look at previously accepted magic apps to see what kind of thing we're looking for.
I look forward to accepting your character once the proper changes have been made!

Sorry my friend, this is something I missed when last reading it! You've listed your character's age as 24, but haven't changed it in the bio, with references to him being 34, then 'years and years' passing. My mistake for not catching it on the last review. One other bit that I just caught was that you referenced your character taking a ship from the salt water swamps to Barkamsted. However, the salt water swamps are extremely close to the city, not twenty minutes walk away! Perhaps having him walk into town from there would be more realistic?
Those are the last two bits. Sorry I missed them earlier, been quite the hectic day!

All good, thanks for bearing with us through all those edits! One thing to note, though. Our lore mentions that the pact war has ended not two years ago, and went on for about 70 years. This means that your character would have been born in the middle of the war, not before it. It isn't a glaring error, so I've decided to accept the character regardless, but please do note that your character would have been born about halfway through the pact war. The rest of your story stands fine as is

-Define Power-gaming in your own words:
People who Powergame usually RolePlay's things which may be impossible to do, leaving the other player no chance to fight back. Powergaming people usually focus most on his own character.
Here's an example:
Joe:Give me your sword!
Jane:What is the meaning of this?
Joe:Give it to me now!
Joe hits Jane on the temple and knocks her out grabbing the sword from her hands and ties her up.
Joe powergames obviously.
-Define Meta-gaming in your own words:
Metagaming is when you look above someone's name without knowing it in a RolePlaying way. It's when you just look above their head to see his/her name. And says it out like ' Hello Jane! How are you? ' Without knowing that person, that is Metagaming. This is also called using OOC information IC
-Define Role-Playing in your own words:
Role-Playing is a thing in which the participants assume the roles of characters and collaboratively create stories. Participants determine the actions of their characters based on their characterization, and the actions succeed or fail according to a formal system of rules and guidelines. Within the rules, they may improvise freely; their choices shape the direction and outcome of the story.

Karl has a rough face with some scars on it that he got in his youth as a sailor. Half of his left hand index finger is missing, an injury he got while tying a rope on a storm. His hair is medium length and brown, resembling chestnut color. He has a dirty moustache and some beard he shaves occasionaly when it gets scratchy.
He wears fancy clothing most of the time, a beret a leather doublet and velvet pants. However he can be seen in some regular leather pants and tunic while attending to his business. He has a slight injury on his left leg that doesn't prevent him from moving around a ship.
-Character personality and traits:The ex captain is a very stubborn man and one many would call choleric. He's aggressive towards people that are strangers to him. He blames the gods due to his bad luck and thus he isn't a very religious person even though he believes in the gods. He's skilled with a cutlass and proven himself to be a capable leader during his years of captain of the "Campion".
-Character biography:Bartz was born in Barkamsted to a middle-class smith. His years as a child was easy until his father tried to teach him his craft. Karl never liked being a craftsmanship even though his father trained him for a few years. Each day after working at the smithery he went to the port and watched the ships dreaming of being a captain one day and commanding his own ship towards the uncharted waters.
As a young adult Bartz abandoned his family and worked as a sailor on one of the merchant ships, he learned how to use a cutlass there and became a potent swordfighter. He lost his index finger while their ship was going through a storm and Bartz had to tie a sail rope it was a lesson he wouldn't forget til' the rest of his life. After 6 years of working on the same ship Bartz found out that his family passed away once their ship returned to Barkamsted. He sold the smithery and all his family left to him and built a ship with the money. He called the ship Campion, quickly gathering a crew.
For a few years Karl worked as a merchant sailing from port to port and selling goods until finnaly he started working as a privateer transporting troops between ports and fending off pirates that stalk merchant ships. Until one dark day when he ordered to chase an Orcish pirate ship that attacked and sunk a merchant ship. The chase took around 3 days and once the Campion caught up with pirates the crew noticed that it was a trap, there were now 3 pirate ships. After a hour of fighting The Campion was sunk and all it's crew dead, Karl managed to survive hanging on a piece of ship's hull and drifting on the open sea until a fishing boat found him and brought him back to Barkamsted. There Karl received some of his money from the officials and headed to Falkvard to make a new living for himself.

Karl tries to grab the child in a futile attempt and curses the gods. "Damn it! Get back here kid, I'm gonna break all yer' bones!" It takes a few minutes for the wolf to finally pass away and stay still. He let's go of the wolf's bloody neck and cuts it's caught leg off freeing the body from the trap. "Let's see how much we can get for ye'." He mutters by himself and proceeds to skin the wolf with a moderate skill.

-Character name:
Evan Stormwind
-Character race:
-Character description:
Blonde, short hair is pulled back to reveal a strong, anguished face. Big, round gray eyes, set narrowly within their sockets. Fair skin delightfully compliments his nose and leaves an amusing memory of his adventurous love life. His body is built fair with muscular tones from being out on the land. He ranges about 5"11 and his skin color is a lightish tone.
His set of armor he wears is leather and has a pointed helm with a face guard shaped in the face of a bear. Attached to the top is a curved, v-shaped blade, the middle is attached to the center of the helm. The lower arms are covered by vambraces which have curved, pointed edges at the elbow point. The breastplate is made from many circular layers of leather with squared edges and decoration pieces. It covers the entire front and back side, but the attachment straps leave the sides under the arms exposed.
-Character personality and traits (At least one to two paragraphs describing their personality traits and/or quirks.):
There's a lot to say about Evan Stormwind, but the biggest two things to know are that he's relaxed and understanding. Of course, he's also incorruptible, insightful and dedicated, but in smaller doses. His relaxed nature, though, this is what he's so well-liked for. Friends usually count on this and his compassion especially when they need comforting or support. Nobody's perfect of course and Evan has a fair share of lesser days too. His argumentativeness and superficial nature do cause plenty of friction and beyond what people are willing to deal with.
-Character biography:
Evans innocent, talkative, analytical and perhaps a little too selfless. But what'd you expect from somebody with his position? He was born in the city of Barkamsted but was put up for adoption by his biological parents when he was around a year old. He was shortly adopted due to his adoptive parents having a fascination with the boy's gray eyes. He lived happily with his mother and father as they owned a shop in Barkamsted up until Evans early teenage year where they moved to Falkvard where they set up business there and his parents had a biological son who would become Evans stepbrother. They were peaceful until their father was called upon to fight alongside the alliance to finish off the Pact War. Evan and his mother were devastated to see him go and Evan tried to offer to take his place but his father said no and this was something he needed to do to keep them safe.
So Evan worked alongside with his mom and they ran it well until Evan met an Elvan woman who was young and beautiful. They talked and talked and eventually fallen in love, but they knew this wouldn't sit well with some people in the Alliance even though the Pact war was almost over and the enemies weren't the elves. They met in secret and she even taught to use a bow as she was highly skilled in bowmanship and they spent a couple years together. Unfortunately, as they spent time together Evans father returned and when he told his father and mother who he was seeing they were not happy with who he was in love with him and sent him off on his own. He was well old enough to live on his own and he and his now wife elf took off and joined the final fight in Hell to end these portals. When the gates were almost closed making their way back him through hell out the portal his group was ambushed and his wife was stabbed through the heart right in front of him. Evan quickly caught her as he fell to his knees with her in his arms. Nothing mattered to him at that point in time and he stared as his Wife said her last words. In a fit of rage, Evan fought with his group and finished off the ambush of demons. He walked over to his wife and closed her cold eyes and gave her a kiss on her forehead. He took her bow and looked deeply at it as he rushed to catch up with his group. A couple years passed and with peace Evan spent time collecting himself and exploring the land. He became an adventurer finding new things. After a while, he became tired of the lands and wanted to head back to the city. Evan has thoughts of maybe joining the Explorers guild to continue his exploration journeys or just keep to himself and try to enjoy life as that's what his wife would want.
-Please give us a short RP response to these two scenarios. (At least one paragraph for each):

Evan let out a chuckled as he quickly spun around and quickly chased the boy across the marketplace sliding through a stand to catch up with the boy. Evan leaped over the stationed cart and tackled the boy down the street. He lifts him from the arm and snatches his coin purse from his hands as he says, "You know you got a lot of nerve stealing an adventurers money boy. If you wanted some food all you had to do was ask". The boy cries and responded with, "The people of this city don't care about anyone's well-being but their own". Evan let out a sigh as he let go of the boy and walked over to the stand. "Can I get two loafs of bread please?" He says as he turns to the boy and smiles.

Evan was walking as he couldn't wait to get back to some civilization since he's been out in the woods for a while. He walked by as he heard some whimpering further away. He rushed over to see the wolf caught in the bear trap and the puppies close to the wolf. Evan looked into its eyes as they made eye contact and continued to whimper. "You got to be kidding me" He lets out as he contemplates what to do. "This is not what I need right now". He ponders for a second and pulls out wraps and some healing herbs from his backpack and bends down to look at the trap. Evan examines it and puts his hands on the trap. He pulls it apart with all his might get its off the wolf and the pups come to nurture their hurt mother. He fed the wolf some herbs and wrapped its leg. As soon as he finished he said, "Now don't go terrorizing the villages okay?" He let out a laugh knowing the wolf probably can't understand him. Yet he knew that leaving the wolf to die with its pups isn't what the love of his life would want him to do.
Your app is totally fine, but the only issue I have is your character's raven companion. We don't allow characters to start out with animal companions and things like that. After all, if we allowed this, what would stop people from just coming in with packs of wolves at their beck and call, you know? Your character can have past history and experience with raising and training ravens, but they cannot start in town with one, or with the ability to get one. As someone whose character gained an animal companion through rp, I assure you that you will be able to have your character get a companion, raven or otherwise, through IC interactions. Please edit accordingly!

-Character name:
Naluvi Tonele
-Character race:
Dark Elf
-Character gender:
Female
-Character age:
70
-Character Occupation:
Currently unemployed
-Character description (At least one to two paragraphs describing your character’s visual appearance.):
Naluvi stands at a staggering five feet even. Her skin a dark grey color that can seem almost blueish-purple in the right light. Her hair that signature white and her eyes that signature deep red. She wears dark baggy pants, simply thick-cloth shoes and layers of robes in a variety of red shades. She carries a satchel at her side at all times that is decorated with various items she’s collected through her life; like teeth, feathers, mundane trinkets, etc. She wears an intricate scarf around her waist like a belt, a gift from her mother, and a necklace made from a tiny compass from her father so she doesn’t lose her way.
-Character personality and traits (At least one to two paragraphs describing their personality traits and/or quirks.):
Naluvi is an optimistic and curious woman. Often getting distracted in order to admire the healing world around her. She can be blunt in her attempts to give constructive criticism. Trying to do what she thinks is kind and courteous to do, not realizing she might sound a bit harsh. She’s a hoarder, finding it difficult to throw away with items due to associating a certain emotion and feeling. However, while she has trouble throwing away items, she doesn’t have trouble donating or giving away items. Finding a new, appreciative owner for a once forgotten item. The item that most strongly takes up a place in her heart is a small doll made from an acorn and two sticks. The leaf shawl that acted as clothes for the little doll has long since wilted and crumbled away. She can often be seen twirling the little figure between her fingers.
-Character biography (At least three paragraphs describing your character's history and experiences):
Naluvi was born in a small village of Dark Elves to her parents, Nalasa (Mother) and Redlos (Father) in the Manadh Calad. Her family wasn’t rich, nor poor. They were comfortable with exactly what they needed. Naluvi was a curious child and would often get into bits of trouble here and there thanks to her exploration in and around the village. As she reached maturity, the effects of the pact war became more and more prominent. Pushing the occupants of her village towards Barkamsted as refugees. Her father joined the fight along with many others. It wasn’t long after this that she decided to do her part in the war and became a scout, using her natural agility and flexibility as an elf to gather intelligence.
During her time as a scout through the Dark Forest she came across the horrors of war one would expect to see. But that didn’t lessen it’s impact on her. The most significant sight to her, that made her quit her work as a scout was seeing people slowly dying of hunger. The job of a scout is to remain unseen and simply to gather the facts; but she couldn’t stand by while her people starved. She often went against orders and if she didn’t quit her work as a scout she probably would have been forced to stay back due to insubordination.
It was during this time that Naluvi focused her efforts in cooking. Using things found around the forest and what ingredients she could scavenge during shortages to make food to bring to the starving people. The first person she gave food to, a human child, made Naluvi a small doll out of two sticks, an acorn head and a leaf shawl that she still keeps on her person. Through war times she made efforts to relieve the stress of those affected around her.Since the war's end, it’s time to find a job and live like a normal Dark-Elf rather than clinging to the life of scavenging and re-purposing that she’s grown so used to.

“Aw cute ki-” She began. Glad to see the youth of the city market enjoying themselves. Until she noticed she was suddenly lighter than usual. “-Wait..” She cut herself off, mid-thought. Her thin white brows furrowing as she patted her hands over her baggy clothes that caught in the breeze like sails. “Not so cute anymore!” She grumbled sourly as she broke out into a run, already having wasted time to feel around her clothes for her now missing coins. Her small feet tapping against the hard street as she scanned the crowd for a sprinting child... Which proved to be more difficult than she was hoping for. Her height didn’t allow for the best vantage point in a crowd. Neither did the height of the child. After a few minutes of running, cursing, and annoyed grumbles. She turned back on her intended path. Hoping the kid will get some good use out of the very little bit of coins to begin with.
You’re heading back to the city through the woods when you hear a whining coming from nearby. Without help, they’ll all die, but wolf skins are quite valuable too, not to mention that the nearby farms suffer quite a bit from the wolf population.
Seeing the sight of the injured mother made Naluvi’s sensitive heart wrench at seeing the wolf with its pups stuck in the bear trap. Before she approached the beast, she began to dig around in her satchel. Searching for a tool she might be able to use to decompress the springs of the bear trap and free the wolf mother. If it were a smaller sort of trap, she might be able to step on the springs. But, a bear trap is meant to contain a large...LARGE animal, there was no way her miniscule weight would be enough to open the trap. Her lips pulling into a frown as she looked at the trapped animal; making her heart wretch more. Taking the short sword from the sheath and drove the blade into the adult wolf that died with a weak whimper before going limp. After giving the blade a quick clean and sheathing it away she picked up the pups one-by-one and cradled them in her arms before marching off to the nearest town. They wouldn’t survive out here; hopefully she can find someone to domesticate them early...

-Character name: Abby Phenreka
-Character race: Human
-Character age: 22

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You’re heading back to the city through the woods when you hear a
whining coming from nearby.

Made some final changes. I tried my best, hope it worked out the way you wanted it too!

Your application is DENIED

Your Character is PENDING
Sorry my friend, this is something I missed when last reading it! You've listed your character's age as 24, but haven't changed it in the bio, with references to him being 34, then 'years and years' passing. My mistake for not catching it on the last review. One other bit that I just caught was that you referenced your character taking a ship from the salt water swamps to Barkamsted. However, the salt water swamps are extremely close to the city, not twenty minutes walk away! Perhaps having him walk into town from there would be more realistic?
Those are the last two bits. Sorry I missed them earlier, been quite the hectic day!

There we go! fixed it up
Your Character is ACCEPTED
All good, thanks for bearing with us through all those edits! One thing to note, though. Our lore mentions that the pact war has ended not two years ago, and went on for about 70 years. This means that your character would have been born in the middle of the war, not before it. It isn't a glaring error, so I've decided to accept the character regardless, but please do note that your character would have been born about halfway through the pact war. The rest of your story stands fine as is

People who Powergame usually RolePlay's things which may be impossible to do, leaving the other player no chance to fight back. Powergaming people usually focus most on his own character.

"Damn it! Get back here kid, I'm gonna break all yer' bones!" Evan Stormwind
-Character race:
Human
-Character gender:
Male
-Character age:
21
-Character Occupation:
Longbowman, Adventurer

Hey there, Demon6K!

DENIED
Frostie, there are a few problems with your application.
First, your definition of what powergaming is isn't exactly correct, please take a look at some past examples of definitions given, then provide one in your own words.
My largest issue with this application is in the character backstory. For starters, at the age your character set out from town, the pact war was still going on. This means that the only town where they could conceivably be from is Barkamsted, and your character would not have encountered smaller villages. While there is some racism present between different races, of course, there weren't small elven villages anywhere where your character might have travelled, as the pact war had done well to push almost everyone to Barkamsted.
Please re-read our lore, and edit accordingly. Taking a look at some past applications might help you get an idea as for what the world is like!

Upon further investigation you come across a grey-coloured wolf that appears to have its leg caught in a bear trap. Around it is three smaller lumps of fur, obviously puppies belonging to the trapped mother.

Your RP responses still include the raven! Having a raven in the past is fine, but since they don't have a raven right now, how would they react in the present?
