Hi there, I know that this post won't get many views because everyone is looking for something. What makes me different from those that are looking for something? Nothing. It is just that I would just LOVE to see a RP server on the forums. They are rarely seen and well...the ones that I do see are all Prison Servers (Which there are too many off by the way. Seriously...they are everywhere! By original!) Anyway, enough that that Prison Server rant in parenthesis.

It would be very nice to see a RP server on the forums every now and then. Surely there are RP servers...barely. And no! RPG Servers are not RP servers. RPG....Role Playing Game! Those servers do not have Role Play in them. People just put RPG because the server is like a MMORPG were people create characters, pick a class, and go PVE and PVP. That is not RP....that is playing World of Warcraft in Minecraft.

*Sighs* I know this is asking far too much to find an actually RP server...a server where people play in a fantasy world as another person and help out other people build up a community in game and out game. Where there are guards protecting a city, farmers farming, miners mining, and perhaps a Mayor to look over the place. A Medieval or Fantasy RP. . .or something similar. Also...I would like to join a RP server that is sort of a new server, perhaps only a day or two into the action. And please....no PVP. PVP based servers are not RP servers. It can have PVP in the server, but not where the Server is solely based on PVP. Like a fight can break out, but the whole Server is not revolved around fighting...you know?

Like I said, this is probably asking for too much, and I know it's near impossible. I have tried starting up my own RP server, but...I don't have the patience to start one up and well...I'm not exactly a wizard of plug-ins and that stuff. I have some friends that just want to have a cool little RP server. Do not even know why I am posting this....it's useless. FML right?

Well this is a valid post, real RP servers would be a lot of fun, especially if you didn't have the tards who live to f things up. I don't know of any but I also agree, prison servers are [email protected]#$ing pointless. I know there are others out there too that long for that golden server, don't give up!

Our server is actually working on getting itself back to the original roleplay style it once was. It was a caste system where you start alone, and a faction tries to get you to join them. To do this you must collect the resources they require for you to be able to join. Once you join you pick a caste to join. Whether you want to be a farmer, miner, builder, merchant, engineer. You pick a caste and you must do your job which your superiors direct you on what to do, be it farm a certain amount of crop, mine a certain amount of ore, whatever your job is. We abandon this system due to the lack of players, which is the struggle with roleplay, you need a good population to achieve a good roleplay server. It was also a lot of work for the staff, because they had to promote the players by hand. I am creating a plugin to automate this whole system, so keep an eye out on our website for when we announce that the plugin is finished and you can feel free to join. www.castegaming.net is our website.

Ah boy, I hate this idea of advertising, I really do. I am planning to make a proper topic for my server when its ready, but that'll be a few months yet. But after reading ya rant, I have the same problems in more ways than one and I am actually going through with making a RP server. Crazy if you ask me.

To be straight. I am a Brony, I played on a server called PonyCraft. It died and a new server was formed with the original community. Admins were opportunist and "they had no experience in running a server" (quoting one of the admins). So I left for good finally with that much drama and horrid management.

So here I am making my own RP server. Its going to be My Little Pony themed.

Now, I am not really going to go into detail, because MLP probably isn't you're thing. But I guess I thought you should know, seeing my deep history and my drive to get this started and your wants. One of them being a new server that you can be involved with from the beginning.

I could say so much more. But I am not pushing like this...

Please tell me you're not serious. This is absolutely devastating.

Yeah roleplaying servers are scarce. Especially actual roleplaying servers, not the servers that are labeled 'hardcore' but end up being a bunch of lulzy people that grief and metagame.

Search around. There's a few out there, and while most aren't really roleplay, I've been able to catch a few that have a pretty serious community. I am considering starting my own up again, but would be kept very low-key and would possibly even need a fee to join. Shoot me a PM if you want, don't really wanna do anything without having a decent team.

I kid you not. There was so much more that happened and even my deepest connections with some of the people there through love and sacrifice, was ruined because of it all.

Now I am tempted to join in on you're offer Blacklands, But I was trying to find a My Little Pony themed server. Now I am making one. So I won't be able to be apart, Sorry.

Well if I ever get the time, it would be nice to RP as a person and not as a pony for once. I'll still be working on my own server and administrating it. But there is always spare time.

Heh, people always say they know how to do permissions and can help. May be true, but really only one person is going to be working on that and there is no point in saying or asking to help with permissions. I certainly know how to do permissions, been going through a computer programming course (collage at home). Not to mention I have been doing permissions before anything else I've learned. But as I said above, no point in casting my help in that direction (Not targeting anyone or meaning offense, just my general opinion on the subject)
