Hey there Minecraft community! A buddy and I are getting into Minecraft and are in need of a server to build on!
I hosted my own and it was quite laggy, and when he tried to host one i was unable to connect.( we tried every way we could via port forwarding and such). So now I have come to in in search of a server!
What we want is a place where we can build freely, play survival mode, and not have to worry about being griefed.
We are mature (21+) people and we are able to follow rules and help others when need be.
If you would be interested in a Direwolf Feed the Beast server, we run the latest 5.0.1. Survival mode, no pvp. Currently 5-6 people ages 20 and up. I'm 39 myself. Good group of people, everyone is helpful. And we're all usually on a few hours a day. It's not new, but you shouldn't have a problem finding some untouched area to settle into. We'd like to add another couple people who are willing to play regularly. Whitelist only ... if interested, send me a pm. Our server is located in Arizona .. plus I have another test server here in Atlanta. Which has a mirror copy of the regular server, but in creative mode for testing purposes.

If the Feed the Beast server doesn't work out for you, you can always try us at the CCC. We're a mature (17+) survival server with great staff and a friendly community of players. Semi-vanilla, Mcmmo, lifts, and no greifing/pvp nonsense. No fuss, no whining 12 year olds, and an event night featuring our many different arenas and minigames every saturday night.

Hey Wraklol, maybe Republica would be the server you're looking for. We have mature staff and most of our players are mature
We have a few plugins, the main ones being towny and iconomy. We also have plugins to prevent cheating and have anti-griefing rules. We also are able to rollback all griefs, so you can always rest easy knowing your builds will be safe. If none of the above servers have what you are looking for, I think you should give ours a chance. It is called Underworld - we offer grief protection of various forms, and expect our players and staff to give all other players the respect they deserve.
We run Protection Stones, allowing guaranteed grief-free land, in addition we are able to track and fix any griefing caused outside of protected areas if need be.
We are a reasonably small server, with players of all ages. However wish to grow - with that being said we do offer much more than simply Survival.

I think you would enjoy the Noxverse multiverse server. We have worlds for survival, creative, and events that we host on request of players. It's a mostly vanilla server with plugins for protections against griefing and an economy.
