I was hoping you guys could help me find a great server. I want to play minecraft without all of the crazy addons. I would only like a few basic simple commands. (/home,/spawn, or even just standard bed respawn) is fine for me. I want a server that has a high population with no protection. I do not want any type of grief protection or locks.

I want a server that will allow me to kill someone, take their items, and stash them in my hidden base. If I find someone, I want to be able to kill them. I want to be able to grief their creations. I want my stuff to be able to get griefed... It's part of the game.

I don't want people to be able to pay for protection or locked chests. That is ridiculous and completely undermines the point of this type of server. However, I don't mind donating to help support a server. I've run one before, and I know they can be expensive.

I have played on a few, but most are either very small or run rampant with hackers. A big world would be fine, but not infinite. I played on a server called darwinism... That was fine except it had unlimited boundaries, and finding anyone was impossible.

Please post some servers that fit this description.

Hello there fellow traveler! Maybe I can be of assistance to your search? I'm the host and admin of a server called The Archland Empire. We're a small server with 15-20 players which focus purely on building and socializing in survival. We have magic and spell integrated into the world, over 80 different ones! But they're hidden in dangerous, very hard to reach, custom ruins and dungeons all around the world.

For the past week I have been preparing the launch of a new server. This server will have the regular plugins that are often found in PvP servers; HOWEVER, after that gets underway, I plan on adding a second server under the same same and it will be "Hard Core Survival" mode. In this server it will be as you described: almost a vanilla server but with just a few basic commands. This will b the kind of server where you have to be ready to fight for your life at any moment.

No, I'm talking /spawn and maybe /home, but other than that your on your own.

I had been looking for a server with the same features you want in a server and found that these servers are usually named simply 'Hardcore' servers but it's pretty hard to find them. However I found a server that started up recently (to my knowledge anyway) and is exactly the kind of server you'd want; No protection, minimal lag, very few plugins which protect from hackers and other things but griefing is allowed, there's also no chest/door lock protection, few commands like /sethome, /home and /spawn.

The server mentioned above is not running. I don't know if they shut down, or if its just not a 24/7 server. But if you wait just a few days, we are going to have a server up that is strictly /spawn /sethome and /home as the only commands in the server. And maybe even a ranking option where you get a higher title the more kills you get. Not to mention, it will almost be impossible to get banned from this server because there will be no rules to break. This will be a secondary, smaller server off our main one. Our main server will hopefully be launching tomorrow. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Still looking for this server. I'd like a server with a decent population....

I am owner and in charge of other servers, and I can guarantee you that with a unique server type such as this, we will have 5-10 people on within a week or two. After that, maybe more. With some donations toward some paid advertising maybe even more. But with the boundaries I'm setting up, it shouldn't be a problem - so basically the map will have generating boundaries on it and we will have a large wall around the edge that is unbreakable.

I read your post, and this will be exactly what you are describing.

Okay, i understand you are going to make this server... I'd like to play on it now.,.. when yours is up... if it has a decent population, I'll give it a shot... but right now it doesn't exist... so I'm still looking for this.
