As a kid, I really tried to be a server owner (you can see my post history, I was a pretty stupid kid), but now that I'm a little older, I am trying to relive my passion. However, the space is completely different to what it used to be, I was prominent when Faction and Skyblock servers were the norm, and that is no longer the case.
I am writing this post to hopefully get some guidance into the new space and learn the popular server trends. I've done my research, but real experience will never live up to it.
I am in University for Computer Science now and am learning plugin development as a hobby, and have been for a little while now. I am hoping to focus on building something complex and unique, I want to break into the community with something different.
Alongside this, I am hoping to build a team of likeminded people to join me along this journey. I can see that this forum is not like what it was back in the era I used it, but I'm hoping I reach the right people and we can collaborate.
