TechniCraft is a new developmental server that opens new horizons to the never-ending game of Minecraft. On this server, there's something for everyone. We have two servers; Tekkit (A complicated mod pack) and Vanilla Minecraft (Modless).
A1: What is Tekkit?:
Tekkit is a mod pack that takes Vanilla Minecraft, and transforms it into a whole new game. It has four base mods: Redpower, Buildcraft, Equivalent Exchange, and IndustrialCraft2; but we'll talk about those later. Tekkit, really, is not that complicated once you get started. If you ever have questions, or need help, you can ask any of TechniCraft's administrators.
A2: Features: TechniCraft has an array of features.
Empires are cities that you can have the power to control, or take over. You can build your own empire, city by city, or build an army of soldiers to take over another king's domain. With empires, of course, comes warfare. And, courtesy of tekkit's addition of multiple explosives, cities will not go unharmed after a siege of even the smallest army. (All explosives are turned on!) But, please, if you see a house in the middle of nowhere, think about what you would feel like if all of your hard work was blown up. I wholeheartedly discourage griefing an unaffiliated (Someone or something that does not belong to an empire) house.
A2:2 Empire Wars:
Although I have just written about empiric warfare, Empire Wars are much, much different. The following is the basic idea of empires altogether: 4 worlds, 1 world goes to both of the best empires, where only their affiliates can enter.
1 world, the main world, where everyone can build, and 1 world dedicated to Empire Wars. In an Empire War, there are multiple preset cities/towns/checkpoints. An empire can capture these areas by claiming them through factions. The first empire to capture and control all areas at once wins that war. Winning the empire war will give that empire a large reward. So, to sum up, Empire Wars are large, scheduled gatherings meant to be a huge PvP arena. Empires will bring in their best fighters and build up a base while capturing the areas. An empire, after winning, will bring back a large reward to the world where its empire is.
A2:3: The Empires:
The empires that have been constructed will be posted here. Contact an admin in-game or reply down below to have your empire put in this post.
- The Eagle Eye empire - The Oakheart empire - The Elven empire -
BOSEconomy is an economy plugin that adds currency to the game. Imagine the possibilities! BOSEconomy adds a whole new way to obtain items -- money! Eventually, the server will have jobs available for it's players to allow them to make a living.
A2:4: Role Play
Role play is a huge part of TechniCraft. Races with special abilities specific to them. Bending -- Wait what, bending?! Yep, TechniCraft has the Minecraft: The Last Airbender plugin installed! If you've never heard of it, it's an amazing plugin that let's you control the elements earth, water, fire, and air. Unfortunately, it only works on the vanilla server. Back to races, TechniCraft has the Races plugin installed. Allowing you to choose your own race and have the benefits corresponding to them. For example, Elves have a speed boost; and Orcs have a strength boost.
