LORE
The Planet of Averian is a new beautiful world made by the overgod Ao, it was used as a refuge for the overgod to hold some of his most beautiful creations. The planet itself is full of vast wildlife, fresh materials, gems and the possibility for adventure…Lord Ao made many creations there, some say he made many beasts into gods on this planet, and they are considered lesser gods in some pantheons in Aebir Toril. The overgod forgot of Averian as quick as he created it, leaving the planet to its fate, and with time, the planets wildlife grew, predators killed prey, and evolution took place over time. And through this evolution the gods he had forgotten evolved into men, and other races, and they have made creations of their own, but the gods have gone into hiding, and do not show their face as much as they use to with the now native species of Averian. The planet of Averian had many continents and a red star next to it, it is one of seven planets in the solar system, it had one moon but the moon had been destroyed along with two major deities of the planet in a cataclysmic battle that split in half…
But our tale does not take place in Averian, The date is 1398DR in the age of humanity, And takes place in the mind of a very old sorcerer,Vanash, who has managed to stumble upon a very old book, and with this book he sought to leave the world of Abeir Toril, to leave the prejudice and radical lords and kings behind. He wanted to go to another place, lost in the stars far away from Toril. So for seven years he read through this book, understanding what he could, and with the knowledge he had gathered, and the materials he had maintained, he prepared to leave this world to somewhere off deep within the stars. It took him four months to travel to the place the book told him of, the book had a map inside of it, that lead him deep within the high forest, he set up his ritual to open a portal to another land, somewhere he could call home… He carved the symbol of Mistress Midnight, mother of magic into a stone under a tree, being a heavy worshiper of the mother of magic. He then put the reagents on the rock, and the ritual started… and he had done it.Two massive white columns rose from the ground, breaking through two massive trees, then carving up into an arch, and in the blink of an eye, a purple mist appeared in the doorway of the portal, it stood at least 20 ft tall and it went high above the trees. Leaves in the area began to fall from the trees, slowly the area filled with plush green leaves from the trees, the ground littered with them, and then the trees themself began to slowly die and morph, strange draconic runes slowly being carved in the trees. After it was all over, that area of the high forest had no forest life whatsoever for a mile in each direction, a blemish for the mass, vast forest of wildlife. Vanash slowly walked into the portal, and was never seen again…The portal still remains to this very day, Vanash’s book was never found…
122 years have passed and it is now 1520DR, time has passed since that day the forest died under the weight of the portals magic, and people have come to this planet off in the stars, Averian has been colonized by the people of Aebir Toril, in hopes to find a home on this world, but like all land, nobility always tries to claim it, soon after the portal opened, lords of all kinds came to the planet, made castles, killed its natural species and sold their meat and hides. battles are waged on this planet over land that isn’t even theirs. The colonists to this land brought over the faiths of their gods, and the natural inhabitence, the nabreth, a primitive species of orc, still try to stick to their original faiths of their gods, but it has been hard for them to remain faithful to their old gods, as they have not shown their faces for thousands of years. Most of the colonists call the following of the Nabreth’s gods is heresy, some of the Nabreth would kill for their gods, most of them are killed for it… The worship of the old gods of Averian is banned in all villages, all worship is now done in secrecy.
You are a colonist to this new planet, what is your story? Do you seek adventure? To gain a fortune? Or to claim this land under your banner...go forth, and explore the planet of Averian!
RACES
Here at Averian we have compiled a list of races we allow you to play from the forgotten realms, you are not allowed to play any other form of race from the forgotten realms or any other lore then what we allow.
We will release more races in time but for now we only allow these.
If you wish to know more then just the names, look them up in the forgotten realms Wiki.
You are also allowed to play as animals on the server, but be warned, your rolls will be cut down extensively, due to the face that you are weaker.
GNOME:
Gnomes are very small compared to most other races and, with an average height ranging between 3'0" and 3'6" and a weight range of 40 to 45 lbs, gnomes are generally larger and heavier than halflings, though forest gnomes (ranging between 2'1" and 2'10" in height and 21-35 lbs in weight) tend to be smaller than the halflings, leading some scholars to erroneously classify all gnomish races as "smaller than the Hin". However, while halflings are commonly said to resemble short humans, gnomes are more comparable with Tel-quessir, with whom they share pointed ears and high cheekbones, or even dwarves, who they are compared to due to their tendency to grow beards and live underground. Many gnomes have a more feral appearance than either, however, with hair that often sprouts from their heads in odd directions.
The skin of gnomes runs in hue from reddish tans to earthy browns or even shades of gray, with exact hue somewhat dependent upon the ethnic origin of a gnome. Similarly, gnomish hair varies wildly in color from blond and brown to more exotic colors like white, orange, or even green. Gnomish eyes are often, particularly in individuals who are native to the Feywild, glittering black or blue although more natural eye colors are also known to the race.
Gnomes are very long-lived, often living as long as Tel-quessir, which means living over three centuries is not uncommonly rare and five centuries is not unheard of. Generally, gnome are considered to reach maturity at forty years of age. However, unlike elves or eladrin, gnomes show a greater degree of aging as they grow older and once a gnome has passed his or her first century, their hair begins to gray, if it was not already white, and their skin begins to wrinkle as in humans or dwarves. However, even the oldest gnome retains a vitality that would be extraordinarily unusual amongst many of the younger races.
HALFELF:
Half-elves, as usually defined, are humanoids born through the union of an elf and a human. Whether a half-elf is raised by their human parent or their elven parent, they feel isolated and alone. Because they take around twenty years to reach adulthood, they mature quickly when raised by elves (who think they look like humans), making them feel like an outsider in either place.
Half elves stand roughly around 5'5" to 6'2", making them only slightly shorter overall than humans and weigh in at 130 to 190 lbs, making them heavier than elves but still considerably lighter than humans. Like humans, half-elves have a wide variety of complexions, some of which are inherited from the elven half of their heritage such as a tendency for metallic-hued skin and inhuman hair colors. Unlike true Tel'Quessir, however, male half-elves are capable of growing facial hair, and often do so to to distinguish themselves in part from their elven parents. Half-elven ears are about the size of human ones, but like elves, they are pointed on the ends. Half-elves are also notably more durable and passionate than either elves or humans, a unique result of the two races’ blending.
Half-elves usually adopt the dress and hairstyles of the culture they were raised among. However, it is also fairly common for half-elves raised among humans to wear elven clothing in order to proudly display signs of their dual heritage. Regardless of what they wear, half-elves stand out a crowd through the combination of physical distinctiveness and force of personality.
Half-elves mature at a slower rate than humans, and can live for over 180 years.
HALFORC:
Half-orcs are humanoids born of both human and orc ancestry by a multitude of means. Combining the physical power of their orcish ancestors with the agility of their humans ones, half-orcs can be formidable individuals. Though often shunned in both human and orcish society, though for different reasons, half-orcs have proven themselves from time to time as worthy heroes and dangerous villains. Their existence implies an interesting back story that most would not like to dwell on.
Half-orcs are, on average, somewhere between 5'9" and 6'4" in height and usually weigh between 155 and 225 pounds making them a little taller and stronger than humans on average. Most half-orcs have grayish skin, jutting jaws, prominent teeth, a sloping forehead, and coarse body hair, which causes them to stand out from their human brethren, though their canines are noticeably smaller than a full-blooded orc’s tusks. Half-orcs as such appear bestial to humans, though amongst orcs they are considered human-like physically. Half-orc hair is most often black, though it grays very quickly with age. In general, half-orcs do not live as long as humans, maturing by their sixteenth year and often dying before their sixtieth.
Half-orcs that have lived amongst orcs might pick up a common orcish tradition, that of ritual scarring. Half-orcs with such a background do not look upon scars as marks of shame or as unattractive blemishes, but rather as marks of pride that demonstrate their skill and bravery in battle. On occasion, however, scars are used for a darker purpose, with orcs marking half-orc slaves with scars in the same manner a rancher might brand cattle.
Half-orcs have shorter lifespans than humans, reaching maturity slightly earlier and rarely living longer than seventy-five years.
ORC:
Orcs are a race of humanoids that have been a threat to the civilized cultures of Toril, particularly Faerûn for as long as any can remember. This changed somewhat in the years preceding and immediately after the Spellplague, when a horde of mountain orcs under the command of King Obould Many-Arrows unified into a single kingdom, one that is remarkably civilized.
Orcs vary in appearance, based on region and subrace, but all share certain physical qualities. Orcs of all kinds usually have grayish skin, coarse hair, stooped postures, low foreheads, large muscular bodies, and porcine faces that feature lower canines that resemble boar tusks. Many also have wolf-like ears that are pointed on the ends, similar to elves. Orcs are roughly the same size as humans, standing max around 6'1 6'4. Some orcs are rather taller in size but generally the taller the orc, the less and less intelligence they poses..
HALFLING:
Halflings, also known as "hin" amongst themselves or the good folk amongst other races, they are humanoid creatures similar in shape to humans, who halflings call the "Big Folk,"but around half the size. Halflings get along well with most of the other races and are known for their curiosity and tendency to collect things.
The term “halfling” is derived from the fact that a halfling is around half of the size of a human, but otherwise very similar in appearance.
Halflings are small in comparison with the members of most other races, standing between 2'8" and 3'4" tall and weighing on average between 30 and 35 lbs. In many ways, halflings resemble small humans and usually have the same proportions as the typical human adult. Most halflings have dark hair and eyes, regardless of their skin complexion which, although commonly ruddy in hue, has a similar range to humans.
Nearly all male halflings are incapable of growing true beards, though many have long sideburns. Halfling hairstyles are often complex, with strands woven together or braided. Although halflings have an affinity for collecting valuables, they do not prefer to wear these on their person, instead preferring more comfortable clothing.
Halflings have lifespans comparable with, but slightly longer, than humans. A halfling is typically considered an adult in their early twenties and some live into their 150s.
HUMAN:
Humans in Toril are widespread, can be found in most regions and, in general, are fierce and disagreeable, which can sometimes lead certain other races to view them with contempt. They are renowned for their diversity and ambition, and although they lack specialization, they can excel in many areas.
The origin of humanity is something yet unknown. Although the Tel-quessir can claim the primal war between Corellon and Gruumsh for their heritage and the dwarves claim to have been forged from the rocks of Abeir-Toril itself, humans have no unifying creation myth. However, they are certainly an ancient race, having originated since before written records exist and they are frequently considered one of the creator races. More confusing yet is that, while humans indeed are native to Toril they have been found on other worlds as well, with the Mulani standing out as an example of human immigrants to Toril.
Regardless of their precise origins, humans have been undeniably successful. While hardly the only dominant race of Toril, humans are one of them and the most recent to obtain dominance. In spite of this strength, or perhaps because of it, humanity is an eternally fractured and divided race, broken up into over a dozen ethnic offshoots. It is believed that this is in part because humanity, unlike most other races, did not emerge as a whole but rather in several places at once, thereby resulting in its diversity.
ELF:
Elves, sometimes called sylvan elves to distinguish them from the eladrin who are also commonly called elves, are a long lived race of the Tel-quessir found most commonly in forests, shrublands, and other wildernesses. In comparison with their close kin the eladrin or “high elves” the true elves have a closer affinity for the natural world over civilization and have more or less abandoned the eladrin focus on magic as a whole. From time to time the elves have organized strong nations, though with far less frequency than eladrin, in some cases adopting even a nomadic lifestyle. Almost all elves worship the Seldarine, otherwise known as elven pantheon and the elves are generally, though not always, good in nature.
Standing at average between 5'4" and 6'0" ft. and weighing in between 130 and 170 lbs usually, true elves are a naturally slender and athletic race. Elves have a similar range of complexions to humans, with wood elves typically coppery or pale skinned and wild elves having darker pigmentations. Often, elven hair is dark, either brown or black, with copper red or blond hair also found amongst wood elves, although orange or even green hues are not completely unheard of. Elven eyes are commonly brown, hazel, or an emerald green. Elves, like their cousins the eladrin and drow, are fair and beautiful, handsome, and have pointed ears and no body hair except eyebrows, eyelashes and hair.
Elves mature at roughly the same rate as humans, though they are not usually considered past adolescence until they reach 110 years of age. Unlike humans, elves do not age dramatically as their lifespan comes to a close with the most obvious changes being a change in hair color, alternatively graying or darkening. Most elves remain healthy and full of life up until their death, which, if age-related, is usually between two and nine centuries.
(we do not allow Eladrin, Aquatic or Flying Elves)
DWARF:
Dwarves, sometimes called the Stout Folk, are a natural humanoid race common throughout parts of Toril as well as Abeir. Dwarves are a tough, tradition-abiding folk known for their strong martial traditions and beautiful craftsmanship.
Dwarves are a short race, as their name implies, standing between 4'3" and 4'9" on average, with gold dwarves a bit shorter. What Dwarves lack in height they make up for in bulk; they are, on average, about as heavy as humans. A dwarf can weigh anywhere from about 160 to 220 lbs. Dwarven males are a bit taller and heavier than their female counterparts. Like humans dwarves have a wide variety of skin, eye, and hair colors, typically pale among shield dwarves and deeply tanned or brown amongst gold dwarves. Hazel eyes are common throughout the race, with blue eyes more common amongst shield dwarves and brown or green eyes found amongst the gold dwarves.
Male dwarves are often bald and grow thick facial hair sometimes used to display social status. Unusually for humanoids, both sexes naturally grow ample facial hair though the majority of shield dwarf females shave their beards off. This hair is often dark in hue, though among shield dwarves blond or red hair is just as common. Gold dwarves take the care of facial hair to an extreme, carefully oiling and grooming it, with some adding perfume and ornamentations.
Dwarves are a long-lived race, though not so much as the Tel-quessir, and reach physical maturity somewhat later than humans. A dwarf is traditionally considered an adult once he or she reaches age fifty. Dwarves age much like humans but over a longer period of time, remaining vigorous well past 150 years. Most dwarves live to see their bicentennial and a few live to be over 400.
DROW:
Drow are a dark-skinned sub-race of elves that predominantly live in the Underdark. They are generally evil, exceptions including Drizzt Do'Urden, Zaknafein Do'Urden, Jalynfein, Solaufein, Tos'un Armgo, Liriel Baenre, Jarlaxle, and Qilué Veladorn and other followers of Eilistraee . They are shorter than many other sub-races of elves and, in common with most Underdark-dwelling creatures, have a tremendous resistance to magic. They also have a much higher birthrate than most other elves, but strife tends to keep their numbers down.
In many ways, drow resemble eladrin. Drow have obsidian colored skin and pale yellow (or pale golden)[citation needed], silver or white hair, the latter being by far the most common. This hair is carefully groomed and cared for by most drow and worn long with jewelry and other accessories decorating it. Like all elves, drow are incapable of growing beards, though many males are fond of long sideburns.
Drow eyes are usually bright red, but some are known to have different colored, commonly much paler, eyes such as blue, lilac, pink or silver. Sometimes their eyes are even green which would implicate that this particular drow has some surface elven blood in their veins. They usually vary in height between 5'4" and 6', and weigh between 130 to 175 lbs on average.Like all elves, all drow are handsome and beautiful.
Drow have lifespans far beyond that of humans and comparable with the rest of the elves, although usually somewhat longer. This is, of course, presuming the drow doesn't meet a premature and violent end, as many often do, but those that survive the trials of their society and the horrors of the Underdark can live for centuries, sometimes as long as 1000 years or more.
FAUN:
Satyrs, also called fauns, were fey creatures that delighted in singing, dancing, feasting, and debauchery. They appeared to be men with sylvan features from the waist up and possessed goat legs from the waist down.
Satyrs had a reputation for being rakes and smooth-talkers. They had a habit of leaving pregnancies wherever they traveled. The children from these unions were spirited away by their fathers soon after birth. Satyrs hail from the Feywild but travel to the world to sate their curiosity. Every new experience fills a satyr with a sense of wonder, and constantly seeking out the next big thing can get one into trouble. Satyrs live in small clans no more than two dozen strong, and rarely are more than one or two satyrs seen at a time. They make their homes at the bases of trees or in burrows. They love creature comforts, so they keep well-stocked larders and stores of wine and mead. Travelers who come upon satyr homes often find them empty because the owner is out exploring or at a woodland revel. Lovers of Story and Song: A satyr would say that it loves beauty above all things. Each one memorizes hundreds of stories and songs, and invents hundreds more. Anything can be inspiration to a satyr, from the morning mists to a blossoming flower to—especially— an attractive maiden. Every satyr knows how to play at least one instrument. The melodies that satyrs produce haunt forest glades throughout the Feywild, and their tunes are inherently magical. Even a satyr who knows nothing about the arcane arts can charm people and animals with its songs. They generally stand at about 4'4 or 4'7
HALFGIANT:
Half Giants are the ******* children of raped mothers generally, or they are the offspring of another Half-Giant, they tend to be rather tall standing at about 7'4, to 7'7, depending on their heritage, half-giants can only be offspring of drow, humans or elves, any other race would not be able to produce offspring with a half giant.
Half giants generally reach maturity at 60 years, and can live up to 200 to 400 years. They can have black, white, green or gray hair color, and their eye color is generally grey, green, blue or white. They generally have an olive skin tone but can also have a grey, and white skin tone, depending on their heritage.
BUGBEAR:
A bugbear is a massive humanoid distantly related to, but larger and stronger than, goblins and hobgoblins. Like many goblinoids, bugbears speak goblin. They are one of the only goblinoids to be covered in fur.
Bugbears resemble hairy, feral goblins standing seven feet tall. They take their name from their noses and claws, which are similar to those of bears. Their claws are not long and sharp enough to be used as weapons, so bugbears often armor and arm themselves with a variety of purloined gear. Most often, this gear is second-rate and in poor repair. Many bugbears are chaotic evil in alignment, favoring the rogue class.
Many scholars now believe that bugbears and goblins were both bred by the hobgoblins as slave races, with bugbears serving as elite soldiers.
Bugbears have their own pantheon, led by Hruggek. Bugbears often decapitate their enemies as a way to honor Hruggek, who is said to do the same.Since the Spellplague the power of Hruggek has been diminished and the god now serves as an exarch of Bane, the god of tyranny.
GOBLIN:
Goblins are small goblinoids that many consider little more than a nuisance. They have flat faces, broad noses, pointed ears, and small, sharp fangs. Their foreheads slope back, and their eyes vary in color from red to yellow. Their skin color ranges from yellow through any shade of orange to a deep red; usually all members of the same tribe share the same colored skin, though they also come in shades of green.Goblins are typically found in dark leathers soiled by poor hygiene and colored in a similar range of tones to their skin.Goblins usually stand between 3'4" and 3'8" and weigh about 40 to 55 pounds on average.
Goblins breed extremely rapidly compared with many other races, accounting for their large population
HOBGOBLIN:
By and large hobgoblins, like their kin, are considered evil creatures and often meet this expectation. While Goblinoid society is cruel and harsh, some individuals escape it to carry on lives of virtue, though fewer such individuals are hobgoblins than true goblins. Those few who do take this risk and succeed often meet cautious praise and acceptance from outsiders.
Those that do are, however, continuously plagued by their nature. Though hobgoblins are not necessarily evil they are prone to violence and hot tempers and find it difficult to be truly altruistic. When provoked, which is often easy, hobgoblins are vindictive creatures who take glee in causing pain to those that injured them. Those hobgoblins who overcome this nature often do so because of the rewards they find in serving good, rather than evil.
LIZARDFOLK:
Their scales are normally dull, earthy colors such as green, brown, or gray. They have a tail for balance, although they've also been know to be used for bludgeoning in combat. Tails usually measure three to four feet (0.9 to 1.2m) long. Typical weight is between 200 and 250 pounds (90 and 113 kg). There are several species of lizardfolk however, and these can range from 0.09 tall pygmies to 6'5 tall monsters.
YUAN-TI:
Yuan-ti call themselves "vrael olo" (which means "favored ones"). Daily use typically uses the shortened "vrael", and can be modified to "auvrael" (meaning friendly or known yuan-ti) and duthrael (unfriendly or unfamiliar yuan-ti).
In general, the more serpentine features a yuan-ti possesses the higher its status in yuan-ti society. Abominations are at the top of their society, followed by halfblood, and finally purebloods. Within their subraces, yuan-ti are ranked by achievements and the demonstrated favor of Sseth.
Most yuan-ti worship Sseth, with other serpentine deities that some have worshipped over the years either being masks worn by Sseth or a false deity of the Scaleless Ones. All yuan-ti must act in accordance with the Sacred Way of Sseth - that is, subtly. Whenever possible, yuan-ti choose manipulation over open confrontation, the whisper over the fang. Followers of the Sacred Way of Sseth know their foes, think ahead, and plan forward.
TIEFLINGS:
Vision: Low-light Language: Common, Infernal Lifespan: Approximately 80 years Height: 5'6" - 6'2" Weight: 140 - 230 lbs Skin color: Tan to dark brown, Light to brick red, White Hair color: Red, blond, brown, black, dark blue, purple Eye Color: Pupiless black, red, white, silver, gold (or normal human eyes)
Tieflings often have an eerie feel to them,, and most people are uncomfortable or even frightened by their presence. There are some tieflings that look very similar to humans, though keep many of the more dominant qualities of devils; horns, tails, and pointed teeth. Some tieflings also have eyes that are solid orbs of black, red, white, silver, or gold, while others have eyes more similar to those of humans. Other, more unusual characteristics include a sulfurous odor, cloven feet, or a strong birth traits of the devils they descend from. Tiefling skin is usually tan or red in color, but can range to odd tones such as white. Tieflings often possess normal tongues and human anatomy, but Tieflings with pure bloodlines often have forked tongues or scaled skin. On a rather curious note, the Tieflings of this land to not possess tentacle-like facial or hair features, or any of the power Tieflings from other lands do.

I've been enjoying this server very much so far, and if you're into roleplay, maybe you will too!
Don't let the "Hardcore" in the title intimidate you too much, either! So long as you know how to roleplay and abide by the rules of the universe, you should be fine. I did not know anything about D&D before entering this server, besides that it was a roleplaying game that involved dice, which seemed intimidatingly complex to me before. I'm still not an expert, but I'm inching into it, and it's pretty fun, and Event Masters seem more than willing to assist you in getting used to it.
Check us out, you may find that this is a place you'll really enjoy being.
I for one genuinely enjoy this server, and I believe that though it has a population smaller than most popular servers, it certainly deserves more praise than the others I've been to.
It is highly realistic and interesting, and places a high emphasis on IC improvement and self-drive, and provides more than a suitable environment for grouping up with others to achieve similar goals. I for one am with a group of like-minded individuals, and I find it very meaningful to make progress with them towards what I myself want to achieve. The best part above all is the freedom that is provided for your character to mature, but the hold on the server of entirety provides a firm hand towards order and the rules. The events are highly interesting, ranging from random events, dungeons, and massive progressive stories. Many of them can be casual and simple, but others can be complex and highly rewarding for the mind. All in all, it's worth a shot, and I hope to see you online.
I absolutely love this server! it is the best RP server i have found! the community is amazing and i have so much fun with all them! i highly recommend this server for anyone beginners or advanced the community is really nice no matter what your RP level is. after just a few days i felt right at home on this server. give it a try you won't be sorry.
The link doesn't seem to work... why are you trying to do? Post your application?
If so, don't post it here. Instead, just go to the Enjin website, click "Join Now!", fill out the application information, and then wait for a whitelister to let you know if you've been accepted or denied. You can usually check your application status from the small yellow button with a person shape on it in the bottom-right corner of any Enjin page.
Varnasis has put up a new poll very recently on whether or not the server should get a new map. I personally think it's alright right now, but it could be better. Join us and input your opinion!
It is a Extremely good RP server with a interesting Community behind it. It has a Anti-Powergaming Rolling system that makes the RP-PVP more fun and less Grief compared to other servers and the staff is very helpful. The Playable Races/Classes are unique and fun to play and they allow you to create very interesting Characters
To keep the roleplay up to the highest quality and fun, Averian’s staff is continuously working to make the best possible experience for the players, from constant moderation and activeness, help and answers to any questions, full on investigations to solve problems, events made by the servers very own event managers, and any form of assistance we can offer to better your roleplay experience, here at Averian it is the staffs job to please the player base, but keep order and maintain fairness.

RACES
TIEFLINGS:
Vision: Low-light
Language: Common, Infernal
Lifespan: Approximately 80 years
Height: 5'6" - 6'2"
Weight: 140 - 230 lbs
Skin color: Tan to dark brown, Light to brick red, White
Hair color: Red, blond, brown, black, dark blue, purple
Eye Color: Pupiless black, red, white, silver, gold (or normal human eyes)
