IC Name: Zack Newthorn
Gender: Male
Age: 31
Race: Human
Backstory: Zack Newthorn worked for majority of his life in his fathers shop. His father selled jewels that he purchased from miners. So Zack's early years were nothing to troubling. His family had a secure money flow, no real enemies to family, and there wasn't much issues with the laws. Zack always had motive to break away from the group and make his own destiny. Whether it was sports teams, school work, or manual labor, Zack always liked being in charge. When he wasn't, he broke away and made a group to be in charge. His persistent personality helped him overcome many things in his life, but it tends to make Zack easily manipulated. Anyone targeting his pride could easily get him worked up. Zack's main concern though was keeping people safe. In his teenage years, he formed a neighborhood watch and as an adult he was very interested in becoming a gaurd. This was a logical choice for Zack because lawbringing is a powerful position that lets Zack get control of the situation.
Character Strengths: Dedicated to his causes, very persistent, not to be shabby with a sword
Character Weaknesses: Too prideful for his own good, racist, hates the water
Additional Information: (Include anything about you we should know)
Skype Contact Information: (If you wish to be added to a large community chat)
RP Experience: Plenty enough. I know metagaming and powegaming and such
Reason for Applying: I just recently stopped a vicious streak of hacking and getting banned and wanted a simple roleplay server rather then a dull survival or agressive pvp server. Even though I know this has both.

IC Name: Darontar
Gender: Male
Age: 23
Race: Elf
Backstory: [Keep it brief however include everything you need]
From an early age I took to thievery. While my friends were at school learning magic and using their pretty little spells for their fun, I was making fun of my own kind. Simply enough, being a kid I couldn't pull off any big jobs but here and there I got my fill. Stealing from my friend's desks, snatching teacher's purses. One time, I managed to grab the principals wand. I had to return it in the dead of night because instead of a school investigation. They brought in the constabulary. Got to hot for a measly 12 year old so I did what I had to.
Continuing on as I got older I turned down a darker road. No parent wants their children to break the law but I never liked being a law abiding citizen. They promised not to reveal me, but they shunned me. I took up archery. I hadn't killed anyone yet but, I certainly did harm if they got in my way. If a person of law tried to stop my thieving deeds. Faster than they would know, either dagger or arrow would pierce their body.
Soon it got to hard to go the life-preservation route. Blood had to be shed sooner or later. It was such smooth kills that no evidence could have been thrown at me. Eventually I moved with my parents out to the new provinces. And that's where the story is in progress.
Character Strengths: [Include at least 2] Strong sneaking skills. Strong Archer. Strong tactician.
Character Weaknesses: [Include at least 3] Bad at redstone (can't begin to understand it so is easily a weapon against me) claustrophobic and bad miner (can't get mined resources for myself. must purchase or steal them)
RP experience decent rp skills i read the lore so i know how to act and the rules
Reason for applying-I joined before the most recent reroll and it was a very good friendly server to play on and i would love to be put on again.

IC Name: Dekarr Nai'Vren Gender: Male Age: Twenty-four Race: Half-elf ( Human variant )
Backstory: ( Told from Dekarr's perspective ) You want to know my tale? I must warn you, it's not for the faint of heart. You insist? Alright then, I did warn you. My name is Dekarr, and I am an adventurer. For most of my life I lived peacefully with my parents, Naime, my elven mother, and Dhavok, my human father, my younger brother Dune and my even younger sister Serianne. If I recall right the town I lived in was near the capital. It wasn't very large, so you couldn't get lost, even if you tried. You ask why I refer to the town in past tense? It's not there anymore; it was attacked and destroyed by bandits. The only reason my immediate family is still around is due to the fact that both my mother and father were experienced blade users. After the attack, we became nomads, wandering from one spot to another, taking our homes along. All three of us learned how to use the blade during those years; It was necessary, in case any bandits, thieves, generally any type of criminal you can think of decided that we'd make easy prey. We didn't get a lot of contact with the hamlets, towns, or cities; When we did, it was only to re-supply and move on. We learned how to survive in various wildernesses; Snowy tundras, jungles, plains, deserts, even mountainous areas weren't strange to us. And while this was all well and good, I'm pretty sure we all knew that it wouldn't last. And it didn't; I left my parents' caravan in my eighteenth year. I had, however, developed a bit of a wanderlust, though. I couldn't help but wander from town to town, looking for various things to do. Like my days in the caravan, I didn't stay long at a town... Mainly because I didn't exactly know how to act. However, no matter how long I stayed at any given place, I would hear various rumors and whatnot. Eventually, I heard tell that a town called Raven Crest had abandoned the empire, and having run into various troubles with the Empire's officials, I decided to visit this town and see what it was like
Character Strengths: Dekarr is a survivor more than anything else. He typically uses various types of blades like longswords and daggers, with lethal skill. He can survive in any wilderness, due to the years of wandering Character Weaknesses: Dekarr, however, is also rather naive when it comes to dealings with normal people; This is due in most part to the years his family spent wandering, more than anything else. He also has a bit of a short temper, which has led him to do some rather... rash things when he gets angry. He's also not very skilled with bows and arrows

This would prove to be a problem with your race, as not only do you classify as a unlisted race, you are also part mob, and it is the duty of many adventurers to slay these mobs to ensure the survivability of the citizens of Aval, nothing would stop an adventurer from distinguishing you as a Mob and slaying you on the spot. I would suggest reconsidering your race.

Your suggestion is noted, however you are wrong on one thing: My character wouldn't look completely like an enderman would; Only his hands, feet, and eyes bear the most notable differences, and given the fact that Dekarr normally wears gloves and boots, the only way you'd be able to tell he's not exactly human is if you make eye contact

Roleplaying Information
IC Name: Dekarr Nai'Vren Gender: Male Age: Twenty-four Race: Enderkin ( Human variant )
Backstory: ( Told from Dekarr's perspective ) You want to know my tale? I must warn you, it's not for the faint of heart. You insist? Alright then, I did warn you. Alright, my name is Dekarr. I am an enderkin, have been for thirteen years now. I don't remember much from my childhood. I remember I grew up in a small town somewhere in Aval, near a rather large forest. My mother was known as Naime, my father as Sepron. As I recall, mother was one of the few people who lived there who knew how to use a blade. Father knew more mundane things, like smithing, farming, and the usual household tasks. I have two siblings, Serianne, my younger sister, and Dune, my older brother. Until I turned eleven, I was pretty much normal. I would play with the other children, doing various things either hare-brained, crazy, or downright dangerous. This vexed Father a great deal, while Mother was amused to no end by my antics.
Part one: The event
The day my life changed forever was rather gloomy. I remember that the sky was dark with rainclouds and that I had been asked by Father to go gather sticks for a fire. As I wandered the woods, I felt a sense of unease. No one had ever been this deep into the forest, and it was rumored that creatures of mysterious origins wandered out here... where I was gathering sticks. Eventually, I gathered what seemed to me like a reasonable amount of sticks and started to head back. A few hours later, I ran into this tall, black, dark-eyed creature, with hands that glowed purple and stood several heads taller than I. I dropped the sticks, naturally, and tried to run back to town. The thing, called an Enderman, as I learned from an adventuerer later on, proved to be very fast and agile. It caught up to me, picked me up, and the next thing I know, I'm in a bed in an Inn on the road from town. Two men and a woman are in the same room as I, all looking a great deal like the adventurers I had read of in Father's books. I remember feeling like something had taken me, stuck me on a stick, and roasted like a pig, so I asked for some water. The woman turns, looks at me, and says "Young one, I'm afraid one such as yourself cannot drink water anymore. T'would do you more harm than good now". I was... confused, to say the least. I asked her why I couldn't drink water anymore, and she said "Take a look at your hands and feet, then look in the mirror and look at your eyes. The proof you seek is there". Obviously, I did as she asked. Like the Enderman, my feet were black, my hands were glowing purple, and when I looked in the mirror, my eyes were glowing purple, although they turned into the darkened eyes I have now. Obviously, I screamed, waking all of the Inn's patrons. The next day, the adventurers took me home. Mother and Father were glad to see me, of course, considering I had been gone for almost a day and a half. Both Mother and Father spoke with the adventurers, and when they turned to me, I felt like the event the previous night had changed more than myself...
Part Two: A new way of life
Obviously, everyone had heard what had happened, because when I came outside, all the kids that I normally played with just stared at me like I was a freak. One kid, who I can't remember, said in a low tone, "Enderkin. Dekarr is Enderkin". After that, all the kids, and some of the adults, stayed away from me. I grew lonely, even though Dune and Serianne kept me company. Eventually, I ended up just staying in my room, reading books of adventurers like those that rescued me. Mother and Father tried their best, but when your eldest son is called "Enderkin", "Freak of Nature", "Dekarr the Monster", and other names I don't dare repeat, day after day, it gets to you and your relatives. One day, Father just... wasn't there anymore. Lots of rumors started flying about what had happened to "That freak's father", but they were dispelled when a note was found just outside the city gate. I won't repeat what it says here. The reasons he left still bring tears to my eyes when I think of them. Mother, unfortunately, went into a deep depression, leaving Dune to take care of the family. Thankfully, he had learned how to farm from Father, so when we needed food, we didn't starve. However, we still had things in the village to take care of. One of these was making sure the lights near the forest stayed lit, so monsters would stay away from the village. Travelers, merchants, and the odd adventurer came through town from time to time, and if they stopped passing through, our small village would die. One day, I can't remember when, one of the adventurers that had rescued me passed through town while I was putting coal in one of the torch pits. She must have recognized me because she asked if my Mother was doing well. I turned, and said "No, none of us are. We're barely scratching out a living, the villagers shun us, only talking to us when we have to purchase something, and when we try to talk to our friends, their parents find something pressing for them to do, Mother's depressed, Father's gone...". Saying that, more than anything else, hit me hard... really hard. I broke down, right there, and wept. I cursed myself, the villagers, the village itself, Father, and the Enderman. This must have shocked the Adventurer, because she called out the villagers, calling them "uncaring wretches". She got them pretty mad, because they came out, all of them fit to be tied. When she judged that she had their attention, she started speaking, more with her blade than anything else. She asked them how they would feel if what had happened to me had happened to one of their kids. Then, I took her home to speak with Mother. I don't know what went on in that room, but the next day, Mother came out and started taking care of the family again. Some of the more stubborn villagers tried to get the town to hate us again, but after what the Adventurer did, their voices were little more than squeaks.
Part Three: The start of my travels
Life got back to normal eventually, but there were still some who looked oddly at me. Things passed like this for the next seven years, though little events happened from time to time. Even though I could walk through the village without villagers refusing to talk with me, the events that took place after that fateful night still had a negative impact on me, and I stayed in my room, reading my books. Sometime or another, a book merchant passed through town, and Mother purchased "Humanity Trek" for me, to see if it would get me out of my room. Safe to say, it did that and a bit more. I left the next year, having finished reading the book, and started traveling. From Yohenher, to the far side of the Empire, I traveled, doing and seeing things few could believe. I'd detail my adventures here, but the vast amount of them would make this take an eternity, something I do not have. Needless to say, I traveled for the next six years, up to the start of this year. I was in Yohenher, visiting my brother Dune. I had heard that something was going on in Raven Crest, so I decided to head there and see what was up
Character Strengths: Dekarr is skilled ( although he could learn more ) with blades and daggers. He is also naturally silent while walking Character Weaknesses: Dekarr cannot touch water without experiencing some pain, due to his unique biology. He's not an exactly adept at the mundane skills, unlike his brother Dune. He has a rather short temper, which has lead him to do rash things when angered

As long as this isn't a "He's had a hard life and is unstable, so I'm going to make him a crazy villain" character, you're fine. Don't wind up OP and we won't have a problem. Otherwise, you're in. Whitelisted.

I haven't been on a roleplaying server in a long time, and this server seems like a nice one for getting back into the action.
Roleplaying Information
IC Name:
Ebben Fade
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Race: Human
Backstory:
Ebben Fade was born in a roadside tavern, to a young *****. The woman didn’t want a baby, and knew that she wouldn’t be able to raise the boy. She thought that the best thing she could do was to drown the lad. She brought her screaming child, wrapped in a stained tablecloth, to the tavern’s well. Then the ***** shoved the bundle under the water. She let go, leaving the motionless baby floating freely in the water. Ebben’s mother took her life later that night in her room.
The next morning, a traveler leaving the tavern went to the well to get water for his horse. He found Ebben, blue from the cold night spent in the water, and was able to resuscitate him. Then the man took the baby with him. The traveler named the boy Ebben, after his favorite poet. Ebben was beaten sometimes, and the traveler treated him roughly and without love. In fact, the traveler only kept the boy around as a source of free labor. The traveler did teach Ebben how to read and write, though, mostly so that he could keep himself occupied with books as they traveled. On the night before Ebben’s 8th birthday, he and the traveler were staying at a tavern. The man got drunk and tried to rape a serving girl, bringing her up to his room. Ebben, horrified, tried to put himself between the traveler and the woman in order to let her escape. The traveler punched the young boy to the side, and forgot about the girl. While she escaped, Ebben was fiercely beaten. The traveler stopped punching only when his own knuckles were ragged and bloody. The girl came back into the room at this point, with the tavern owner. The owner kicked the traveler out of his tavern and kept Ebben there.
Ebben worked at that tavern for the next half a year, washing mugs and plates. His body was covered in bruises and scars, and he was treated better than he had ever been before. Six months after his beating, however, Ebben’s life took a turn for the worse. The traveler came back to the tavern unexpectedly, and the tavern owner didn’t recognize him. Ebben was charged with waiting on the traveler. The man immediately recognized Ebben, and vise versa, but neither said anything about it. Ebben out of fear, and the traveler because he had a plan. When Ebben came out to serve the traveler, he was greeted with a steak knife to the throat. The man, screaming incoherently at Ebben, brought the knife down on the boy’s fallen body once more. Then other patrons pulled him off. Luckily for Ebben, the slash on his throat was too shallow to be life threatening. It had, however, damaged Ebben’s vocal cords. The boy’s voice was normal, if a little rough, but it hurt him to talk. He was sewn up, and Ebben was left with a huge scar across his neck. That scar scared customers, and the tavern owner was forced to fire Ebben because of it. So Ebben, 8 years old, was cast out into the world, permanently damaged both physically and emotionally.
Ebben earned his last name in the next 11 years of his life. He had to steal to survive, as no one would offer him a job due to his physical appearance. It wasn’t that the boy was unhandsome, Ebben was assured, but rather that his scars left people feeling quite uncomfortable around him. Ebben moved around a lot, and stole from anyone he could steal from, no matter how wealthy or well off they were. He taught himself how to pick locks, distract the unwary, and exploit his targets. No one was able to catch Ebben, and he seemed to fade into the backdrop whenever someone tried to look for him, earning him his name.
At 15, after years of relatively easy living, a man he was stealing from caught Ebben. The man beat Ebben senseless and turned him over to the town guard. Ebben was accused of stealing on many counts, and was put into a holding cell along with a few other young men. One such man tried to brutalize Ebben, only to be met with a shiv to the eye. Ebben was moved into a smaller cell, which he managed to escape from one night by strangling the jailer into unconsciousness through the bars and stealing the keys. Ebben was caught early the next morning after falling asleep in a barn. Ebben was sentenced to death, and was hanged.
As his life was fading before him, Ebben was cut down. He awoke back in a cell, his neck red with burst blood vessels. Apparently, in his last moments, an unidentified man had cut him loose before being run off. Ebben’s jailer, the same one as before his escape, taunted the boy. Ebben waited for him to get close to the bars and did the exact same thing to him, strangling him again. Ebben escaped once more, with another scar – from the noose – added to his collection.
Now, Ebben tries to keep a low profile. He’s a skilled thief, and moves around enough not to get caught.
Character Strengths: Ebben is a skilled thief, good with locks, distractions, and escape. He is also very intelligent, with some skills in reading and writing from his time with the traveler.
Character Weaknesses: Ebben’s appearance is very startling, and most people feel uncomfortable around him. He can’t talk very easily, due to his injuries. Ebben is also quite susceptible to the charms of ladies.
Additional Information: I’ll probably be able to play a lot in the next few weeks, but my playing time will decline as school starts.

Race: Elf(Fan'fey((Tribe of the sylvan)))
Backstory:
Larg was born into a very normal family. The children of the Fan'Fey elves were often sent to military training. Their tribe differed from most, their combat style mainly dealing with defending the homeland. That's where being a lancer would come most into convenience. There he trained until the age of 30, learning to leap at great heights, to either retreat into their enormous tree homes, or strike down on an enemy, killing it with the blow of the fall.
After having trained a large section of his life, he joined into a small reconnaissance team, and they headed out explore. What they didn't expect to find, whilst trudging through an open field, a large brigade of imperial bigots. They weren't fond of the elves, as they called them dagger ears, and even threw rocks at them. But his captain was too proud to take that without a fight, and they charged high into the skies after their assailants. The soldiers fired arrows, killing many before they reached ground, but were soon hit by expert precision and masterful weapon handling. Their numbers dwindled, an the large imperial force overran them. They captured a few alive, including Larg.
Sitting in prison for two years, his skills slowly deteriorating, there was cannon fire and screams as clashing of steel could be heard. A revolution against the empire was happening in the small city. A cannon blast shattered his cell, almost killing him. Prisoners poured out, happily, and started slaying, raping and pillaging everything that moved. It wasn't a good choice. But, Larg took his chance and ran.
For a the longest time, he settled into a village that accepted both elf and man. There, he lived as a huntsman, gathering game for cooks and other families that would offer to give him some of it cooked. He slowly honed his skills, although not as good as they once were. After many years of this steady life, he craved the adventure he once had, and heard of demons happening in a far off town of Ravencrest.
Character Strengths: Large for most elves, and amazing agility.
Character Weaknesses: He's colorblind to all but blue and green, scared of fire, can't provide much but raw meats for himself.

IC Name: Zack Newthorn

IC Name: Dekarr Nai'Vren
Gender: Male
Age: Twenty-four
Race: Half-elf ( Human variant )
He can survive in any wilderness, due to the years of wandering
Character Weaknesses: Dekarr, however, is also rather naive when it comes to dealings with normal people; This is due in most part to the years his family spent wandering, more than anything else.

No, sorry.
