First off, sorry for the lateness everybody. I've been busy the past few days, but rest assured I'm still here to do my job. But otherwise, I'm really glad to see all these new, great apps coming in!
Anyway, let's get cracking.
Accepted Welcome to the server! You are invited to join upon our opening this September. In the meantime, register on our website (http://shrines.enjin.com) and meet the community!
Jossar
Thanks to that simple fix, you're in! Welcome!

This application is a joke, obviously, but since you're already a GM here I don't think you really care. However, you gave somewhat legitimate answers on top of the other nonsense, and you're serious where it counts. More importantly, your bio, ICRs, and personality questions are some good pieces of work. Welcome to the server, officially.
That said, no one follow his example, or be smitten by the Undergod of Secret Underground Melon Farms.
BCparadise
Impressive application. Solid biography and interesting character. This is really good work; you'll fit right in on the server. Welcome!
Alpha_Site
You've got a solid application, and you've already made your way into the community with some character linking! The next step is to look for a faction to join; most are low on members. However, if you're bent on making your own, please find some members on the server after opening day.
jaeden111
Decent app, good work. You know the drill, you've been with us for long enough.
Timelord_Jax
Welcome back, good sir; your app is up to par. A few spelling and grammar mistakes here and there, but nothing to fret about. You're all set.
Deffered Your application lacked certain important qualities. You are invited to repost your application with any neccessary revisions, explained here.
None
Rejected Your application, upon several resubmissions, failed to meet expectations- or you broke the rules in some way (explained here). You cannot reapply. We wish you luck in finding a new server.
None
Ugh... all these great applications! I feel like a pushover for accepting you all. We need some bad roleplayers up in this.

Character Information
Name: Jon Thorn
Age: 28
Race: Javilian
Class: Herbalist
Physical description: Jon is a fairly pale man with blue tattoos and is completely shaven including his head because he was raised for most of his life in Horium. Tattoos cover most of his body (explained in the Bio). He is fairly muscular and has little body fat.
Screen capture of your skin:
Biography (Minimum 400 words. Cannot include loved ones being killed, kidnapped, tortured, or the like, unless you can do it in a non-cliche manner.):
Jon was born in the "province" of Javil as a a poor childhood. He had a terrible childhood. He always had little food, animals everywhere were either diseased or dead, he did have a loving family, and education though. His family used to be a long line of wealthy planters, but after the war the land became diseased. His great grandfather's crops withered and died and so did most of his herds. This plunged the family into massive debt that lasted decades.
Jon's father was finally able to pay off the last of the debt with the help of his son doing odd jobs as well as farming. He then moved his family to the Horium slums in hope of a better life. Things weren't terrible, but they weren't great either. His father had to farm for a merchant to provide for his family. He was rarely home and when he was it was only for short periods of time.
The bills were hard to pay so Jon began to fight for money (Kind of like boxing, but with no gloves deal). Jon trained vigorously day and night for each fight. Sometimes his opponents carried weapons into matches, but he refused to fight in such a dirty manner. He only fought with his fists and honed his skilled so much that his fist were almost like hammers. He began to get tattoos to intimidate his opponents surprisingly it worked. Jon was still an educated man from Javil so he tried to study about the "Magic of Nature" it legend that he heard about during his childhood there. Sadly, he found very little on the subject and what he did find was extremely vague.
Jon then found a match with a nice sum as a prize in Roland's Basin, a small town right in the center of the continent. In hopes of money to help his family and maybe find some more information on "The Magic of Nature" he ventured to the small town with a smile and what little things he owned.
What is your character's main goal? (Motivation): To learn about The Magic of Nature and to provide for his family.
Strengths (Both physical and personality): His skill in hist fighting, education, and his determination.
Weaknesses (Both physical and personality): He is hot-headed and sometimes does not know when to give up at times.
Will your character likely join an existing faction? If so, which? If not, why not?: There are no current factions so no? I may join one of the gangs or something that people on the forums are making.
Does your character have any connections to currently-existing characters or characters yet to be accepted? If so, which? (See "Character Linking Aid". Please post a link to the topic.): Nope.
In-Character-Responses (ICRs. For each scenario, write at least a paragraph describing entirely in-character how your character would respond to the situation.)
Walking down the streets of the Undercity, you encounter a pair of heavily armed and armoured men harassing a young girl.
Jon proceedes with caution, he isn't a fool to go save someone when he is clearly out matched. He may create a distraction, like throwing some rocks or making lots of noise. Hopefully luring the men away. If the men do do leave the girl or even if one leaves he could possibly knock him unconcious and rescue the girl.
You've been lost in the tunnels for nearly a week without food, and come across a small independent settlement.
Jon isn't a stranger to hunger, but he would sincerly ask for food in the settlement. If it turns out that it doesn't work he would have to end up stealing it. He would not take much only a small bite or nibble from each person within leaving the food alone if the family has too little to barely feed themselves. Then he would ask for instruction to the Undercity and hopefully find some mushrooms on the way to the city.
You pass an old man lying on the side of the street, begging for food.
If he has food to spare Jon will share it with the man. If he doesn't maybe he could spare a little coin or spend some time with the begger teaching him about edible plants or just telling stories. He could even steal small bits for the man if the need is that great. Jon doesn't like stealing, but does see that if it is needed he must.
In a tavern, a slightly inebriated fellow insults your mother.
Jon doesn't like his family being insulted. He may tell off the drunk or if it comes to it start a bar brawl. Most likely winning unless the man pulls out a weapon or is fully armored. If Jon is drunk enough he may even play along, forgeting aabout the incident entirely. He does enjoy the occasional beer after all.
You take a liking to a beautiful necklace a passing woman wears.
Jon may have grown up in the slums and a disease ridden land, but he is no jewel thief. He steals only for food not personal gain. Especially from a woman who has obviously worked hard for the jewelery or even has had it passed down from her family. (He's never been very rich so he doesn't think about her just having the coin or jewelery given to her.)
Do you have any questions about the server or our lore?

Who can use flymod, X-ray and other such clientsided mods?: No one, unless permission is given by admins.
When are you allowed to cause the death of another character?: Only and ONLY with there OOC consent.

What previous Roleplay experience have you had, if any?: I have rped on to other minecraft rp servers.
If you have played on other RP servers, please say which and why you left: Genesia and Lyrethia. I left both because they closed.
Character Information
Name: Morrigan Nightshade
Age: 19
Race: Human
Class: Herbalist
Physical description: Morrigan is of average height, with White hair and red eyes. She wears dark redish orange layered clothing in which she hides her weapons within.
Biography (Minimum 400 words. Cannot include loved ones being killed, kidnapped, tortured, or the like, unless you can do it in a non-cliche manner.): Morrigan was born in a small village that she does not remember the name of. In the beginning of her life it was only her and her father Nightshade, as her mother had died during childbirth. One of the first things she learned after reading and writing was brewing the various drinks her father was known for. Be it his wines, beers, or other assorted alcoholic brews, she learned them all. As a young child her father began teaching the art of defending herself. As she aged she became better at using her fists in a fight but preferred daggers and hated using swords, as they were large and awkward for her. When she was 14 she left home, leaving her father Nightshade behind. She keep in touch with him threw writing letters. Later about a year later she received a letter stating that he had two new children both adopted. Though she never met them, she became fast friends with her adoptive sister Nyx, constantly writing letters to each other. These letter thinned out the older she became, only writing back to her family between jobs. Most of her jobs included tailing someone to find other people following them and to remove these stalkers by any means necessary, though she tended to not kill them. It was brutal job, but It paid for books and lodging and helped her survive. She became fascinated with poetry, often reciting it randomly, to random people. After hearing from Nyx that their father had passed away she decided it was finally time to meet her sister and to pay her respects to her father. She began to travel to her sister’s home, only to arrive and find it in ruin. In the tavern her sister operated she found a charred corpse in the basement’s secret underground melon farm and assumed the worst. She swore vengeance on the one who let this happen. And her hunt began for the man named Jaden the leader of Vespero Scath, for he let her sister die. She found him and didn’t give him a chance to explain anything before attempting to kill him. She nearly won before learning that her sister was indeed alive, but had run away. She learned why her sister ran by reading her journals; her sister Nyx was severely mentally unstable. Even though she wanted to follow after and find her sister, she knew it was in vain. She vowed to stay with Jaden and his people, for she was indebted to him for attempting and nearly succeeding in taking his life.
What is your character's main goal? (Motivation): Her motivation as of right now is to pay back her debt to Jaden and the other members of Vespero Scath.
Strengths (Both physical and personality):She can brew most alcoholic beverages as her father taught her how (she needs the recipe if she doesn't know it though), She can handle herself with daggers and throwing knives or darts and with her fists if need be. She has basic knowledge of mining and wood working, and the only knowledge she has of blacksmithing is how to maintain a blade. She always has weapons on her, typicality 4 daggers, 2 knives, and about a dozen darts. All of her weapons are hidden within the folds of her cloths. She has a strong sense of honor, preventing her from killing most people. Has fairly good accuracy with throwing knives or darts. She understands how to farm the supplies needed in a tavern, so she doesn't need to buy them. Understands how to operate a tavern. Her knowledge of brewing has taught her various poisons that she laces into her darts, none of the poisons will openly kill, just paralyze or or knock out the affected. (Of course I will not use them on anyone without OOC permission)
Weaknesses (Both physical and personality): She does not understand how to hold a sword properly and tends to drop or throw them mid swing. she seldom thinks out her plans and tends to attack them head on. IF you give her a bow she wont fight as it is useless in her hands. She tends to recite poetry to random people, this causes very awkward situations. She doesn’t handle drinking alcohol well and will often become a very loud drunk very quickly. she has red eyes (a trait she inherited from her father) many people tend to either avoid her or attacker thinking she is evil. Her sense of honor tends to make her give second chances where she shouldn't. If she wrongs you, she will feel she is indebted to you and will try (even against your will) to repay the debt.
Will your character likely join an existing faction? If so, which? If not, why not?: No, she will probably stay with Jaden and the rest of Vespero Scath out of debt to them. (Even though they told her she wasn't in debt)
Does your character have any connections to currently-existing characters or characters yet to be accepted? If so, which? (See "Character Linking Aid". Please post a link to the topic.):
In-Character-Responses (ICRs. For each scenario, write at least a paragraph describing entirely in-character how your character would respond to the situation.)
Walking down the streets of the Undercity, you encounter a pair of heavily armed and armoured men harassing a young girl.
First, Morrigan would stay near, silently drawing darts from her clothing. She would then wait for the opportune time before throwing her darts at the back of the neck of the armed men. Each dart would either paralyze or put the offender to sleep. If she missed, tehy would most likely notice her and she would draw her daggers and prepare for a fight. If she hit her target and incapacitated them, she would escort the young girl away, before returning to the offenders to deliver a punishment of some sort. Whether the punishment is dealt by her or whom ever she tells remains to be said. You've been lost in the tunnels for nearly a week without food, and come across a small independent settlement.
Morrigan would walk around the outskirts to decide if the settlement was friendly or not. If not, she would steal the food, leaving some sort of compensation before leaving. (No debts) If friendly, she would approach the town and search for the first person she could find.
Morrigan:" excuse me sir, but do you having any food to spar or know where I might find some?"
Man1: "I don't have any to spare stranger, but man2 might, try asking him"*proceeds to give directions*
Morrigan: "Thank you" *follows directions until man2 is found* "Excuse me sir but Man1 told me You might have food for a lost wanderer?"
man2:" I do, but it ain't free."
Morrigan: "I have some money, but not much, maybe there is something I can help you with to pay for it?"
man2: "Whatever money you have will suffice."
Morrigan: "Thank you sir" *pays for food* You pass an old man lying on the side of the street, begging for food.
"Sir I do not have any on me, but fear not, come let us get you some food" *leads man to shop and buys bread for him* In a tavern, a slightly inebriated fellow insults your mother.
Morrigan: *Ignores him*
Drunk: "Did you hear me? your mother is a *insert insult*
Morrigan: "Oh I heard you, but I must say I never met her. Never really heard anything about her, other than If you insult her she will find you and remove something from you. Something about jewels I think." *goes back to ignoring drunk*
Drunk: "What?" You take a liking to a beautiful necklace a passing woman wears.
Morrigan: *smiles as the woman walks by. Thinks to self: "Even though that is a beautiful necklace, If I had it it would only hinder reaching for my darts" sighs before continuing on her walk* Do you have any questions about the server or our lore?
None at all right now at least. If I think of any though I will be sure to ask. Other notes:
One of our best Admins, ZePato, has just contacted me. He's been having computer problems, but WILL be playing the Undergod of Order when they're fixed. HURRAH!
One of our best Admins, ZePato, has just contacted me. He's been having computer problems, but WILL be playing the Undergod of Order when they're fixed. HURRAH!
undergod of order? interesting. I may be working closely with him.
Do you have a Skype? If so, what is your Skype Name?: Yes. Not quite willing to post it on a public forum though, so if you really want it ask me later in PM.
Have you read all of the rules, agree to abide by them, and by the decisions of our staff?: Yup! My favorite’s #11. I’ve seen people RP some crazy things that don’t make sense. I take a perverse, twisted pleasure in pointing out the logic loopholes there. Bwuahahahaha…
What is the definition of "Powergaming"?: Forcing an action on another player without consent. For example, *Kills instantly with an arrow to the eye* would be bad. *aims an arrow at the eye and then fires after carefully lining up the shot* would be good.
What is the definition of "Metagaming"?: Using OOC knowledge for IC stuff. Such as: You know OOC exactly where to mine to get the most diamonds, and how to craft them into armor/weaponry/jukeboxes galore. Your character is a thief. Using those OOC methods to get your thief sweet gear? WRONG!
What is the definition of "Roleplay"?: Creating and then assuming the role of a specific person, how they would react to things and their personality, specifically how they treat other RP characters in certain situations.
Who can use flymod, X-ray and other such clientsided mods?: No one without permission from the staff, I assume.
When are you allowed to cause the death of another character?: After you RP it out, and with the person’s full OOC permission before hand.
When are you allowed to speak out of character?: Asking for help, reporting bugs and such, and for privately clearing things up in RP fights.
Have you read the primary server lore of our server and agree to roleplay in accordance with it?: I have, and I do.
Who is allowed to use magic?: Some humans can, but they’ll lose it pretty quickly once they go underground. So, in practice, only the sages of the Undergods.
How did the Humans come to be in the Caves?: Fleeing from their lives from Roland’s Basin. Not dying’s nice, after all.
What are the Shrines?: The Shrines would be structures/temples to the Undergods, with resources that the faction controlling it can use.
What previous roleplay experience have you had, if any?: Several forum RPs (two of which I was in charge of) and Minecraft RP servers. I’m more experienced at forum RPs than MC RPs, admittedly. Trying to cram in the paragraphs my soul longs to write into Minecraft-able chunks is still a bit of a problem for me, but I try.
If you have played on other RP servers, please say which and why you left: Amysteria: Admins stopped playing, playerbase followed. Chronicles of Genesia: Slow server death due to lack of players, main admin went on a journey of self-discovery with no mention of when he was – or if he would be – coming back. Lyrethia: It shut down after about two weeks. It made me sad. I seem to have bad luck with servers that have names that end in –ia.
Character Information
Name: Idania Mayfire (She pretends she doesn’t have a last name, though.)
Age: 25
Race: Human.
Class: Herbalist (Focuses FAR more on the alchemy bit over farming. Manual labor? What’s that?!)
Physical description: Medium height for a woman from the Republic of Horium. Brown eyes and brown hair, which is longer than it would be usually for someone from her home. Two reasons for this: she tends to forget about it, getting distracted by too much stuff to bother to cut it, and it helps a bit with the cold that she’s not used to. Her skin’s also a bit more pale than the standard, due to long hours spent indoors, making potions. She wears fairly fancy clothing, including a corset and some laced boots, though it’s still (mostly) practical. Under the clothes, she’s got a few burn scars, one of the more noticeable ones being on her shoulder, but they’ve all faded from time, barely being visible. Normally she tends to look a bit singed, despite the fancy clothes. Weapon and item wise, she’s rarely seen without her pack, and she carries a sword, though she has no real clue about how to use it.
Screen capture of your skin:
Biography: Idania was born in a fairly high-standing home, in a city in Horium known for constant cloud cover, rain, and a general dreariness. Naturally, Idania hated it with every fiber of her being. That being said, she did love her family, and took to reading and staying indoors and looking pretty better than some might have. She tended to spend her days looking through her parent’s library rather than learning such nuances as ‘politics’ or ‘handling money.’
One day when she was 14, bored, and looking through the library for something interesting, she found a book, written on theoretical properties of various herbs and their uses in potions. That moment would be the exact moment that she found what she decided was her life’s calling; alchemy. Several sneaky trips to various book shops and apothecaries later, and she was on her way to learning the trade. She studied properties of herbs in her free time, and slipped off to a nearby apothecary to learn (and eventually practice) the basics of potions.
Naturally, her father had no idea about it until she came home burned from a failed attempt at brewing something beyond her skill level. With only his daughter’s large burn to take care of and a knowledge that what she was getting into was dangerous, he told her not to ever brew anything ever again, for her own safety. She was to practice safe herbalism, like her sister, or nothing at all.
Well, she was 16 then, and it went about as well as could be expected. Idania started sneaking out more and more, until eventually she was barely even home. When she was home, it consisted mostly of barbs to and from her father. Little by little he lost her trust, and by the time she was 18 she was ready to leave, and leave she did.
She left their home and his parental jurisdiction, but given a choice between spending what little savings she had to get out of the city, or use it to try and follow her dream. After some deliberation, she decided that staying would be the best bet, and eventually opened up an apothecary, keeping in touch with her family, though their relationship was cold and distant, now. A few years later, things were looking up. She had a fiancée, a steady supply of reagents, and her apothecary was doing fairly well. While she wasn’t on outright friendly terms with her family, she was civil with them, and grudgingly loved them, as long as they didn’t meddle in her life too much.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that she managed to completely screw all of that up. Alchemy’s a dangerous thing, and she learned that lesson pretty well the day she tried out a potion that was meant for reducing pain. Oh, it worked, but it had some interesting side effects; those side effects being that it made her extremely loopy.
What happened next could only be described as a complete disaster. As it turns out, skilled alchemists should never take anything that causes them to lose control of their senses. Trying to remember what exactly happened that day is difficult for Idania. One minute, she was ranting something about a ‘Secret Underground Melon Farm’, and the next, she was in an insane asylum, having been admitted for ‘dangerous conduct’ and a ‘severe disregard for personal safety.’ Truth be told, she was lucky she wasn’t in jail.
Well, the potion’s physical effects wore off in about a day, but the damage was done. The woman spent five years in the asylum trying to convince them , and the life she had created slowly fell apart. Her apothecary was sold to pay for her admittance (and the apparent damages she had caused), her fiancée visited her once to apologize and say that he had found someone else, and the already strained relationship with her father frayed and eventually broke entirely after Idania started screaming at him. He stopped visiting, and she insisted that she stopped caring about him, and her older sister.
Eventually, after hundreds of therapy sessions, ice baths, and mythical ‘cures’ she was released. With little money, no connections, and only the clothes on her back and the things in her pack, she left. After a series of misadventures, including stowing away on a merchant’s caravan and almost causing a diplomatic incident, she ended up in the north in some town she hadn’t even known existed.
With no money to stay at an inn for the night, no home, and no real skills that didn’t require a laboratory, she wandered, fairly certain that she was going to freeze to death in this strange new land. Her future was looking rather bleak and it seemed that this alchemist was going to have to turn to begging or whoring herself off to survive.
Well, fate decided that it had something else in mind for her. She ran into a man named Jaden, and when he learned of her homeless status and her knowledge of alchemy, he offered her a home. Idania decided that going off with a strange man was better than freezing to death, and so she joined the Vespero Scath.
What is your character's main goal?: Establish a new lab so she can get back to blowing stuff up properly, and maybe not completely screw it up this time.
Strengths: Personality-wise, she’s almost absurdly accepting of, well, weird things. Something about blowing herself up on a day-to-day basis also got her strangely numb to dangerous situations where, by all rights, she should be panicking. Aside from that, she’s fairly creative and quick-thinking, which helps a bit in combat. She’s taken to the habit of carrying around various potions for use in defending herself,
Weaknesses : The same absurdly accepting nature makes her come off as a bit callous, and her flippancy towards danger has the habit of getting her hurt, since she’s lax on such nuances as ‘lab safety rules.’ She’s rather short-sighted and scatter-brained, basing her decisions on her current emotional state rather than logic, and then later trying to logically justify them. Physically, she’s not exceptionally strong, fast, or particularly good at fighting without adequate potion preparation beforehand. Catch her unarmed and potionless, and she’s doomed.
Will your character likely join an existing faction? If so, which? If not, why not?: She’s technically already part of one; that one being the Vespero Scath.
Does your character have any connections to currently-existing characters or characters yet to be accepted? If so, which?: Yep. She owes Jaden her life, and is pretty good friends with several members of the Vespero Scath. The nuances of her relationships with all of them are better shown in RP than explained here, since this thing's looking to be pretty long already and explaining all of them would take forever.
In-Character-Responses
Walking down the streets of the Undercity, you encounter a pair of heavily armed and armoured men harassing a young girl.
Idania closed her eyes with a tired sigh. From the way those two men were looking at that girl… Well. It wasn’t going to be pretty. I shouldn’t get involved, she told herself, opening her eyes and trying to keep walking. Her feet, naturally, didn’t obey. Instead, they brought her in front of the two men (Thugs, her mind helpfully corrected). What she was planning to do from there, she had no idea; Time to try and mentally channel Jaden. He’d probably handle this a lot better than she would…
“Who’s this? Friend of yours…?” said one thug to the young woman they’d been harassing, now leering at the alchemist. Idania mentally named him ‘Big and Ugly.’
“Gentlemen,” she said pleasantly, knowing that these men were anything but, “Surely there’s something else you could be doing with your time…?”
“You, maybe?” said Big and Ugly’s friend. More leers. Okay, maybe wearing a corset that exposed some cleavage while talking to some possible rapists was a bad idea…
“Sorry, you’re just not my type,” Idania drawled. “No means no, boys. I would have thought that you two knew that.”
“I bet I’m your type.” That would be when Big and Ugly himself got uncomfortably close. Idania noted that he smelled absolutely terrible. Maybe that was why he was trying to force things. The smell would drive away any sane woman…
Of its own accord (though her mind wasn’t inclined to disagree with it) her left hand went sneaking towards her pack. Helpfully, she told it that the fourth vial from the left would be the acid. Not actually all that dangerous, but painful and good for a distraction. She doubted she could take these two in a fight. Running would be better.
“You’re not nearly tall enough to be my type,” she said, even though he towered over her. Her hand closed around the acid, just as his hand closed around her left arm, keeping her from flinging anything. Well, time to remove that. Big and Ugly had gotten within kneeing distance. That would be helpful.
“Plus,” Idania added, as she took advantage of the distance and kneeing him in a very uncomfortable place, “you really don’t have the pain tolerance necessary for me.”
The thug released her arm. She threw the acid at Big and Ugly’s friend, who she nicknamed ‘Screamy’ for the way he wailed. Well, now it would be time to run. Idania snatched the hand of the girl they had been harassing earlier, and did just that.
Later, once the two women had safely given the thugs the slip, Idania looked at the young girl. “You’re an idiot.”
“I-I’m sorry…?” said the recently rescued woman, bewildered.
“You’re an idiot. Alone, no defenses, in THIS part of the town? Get some weapon training or a large and angry lover or just take a detour.”
“But I was just trying to get-”
“Doesn’t matter. You’re an idiot. Next time don’t be, and save yourself,” the alchemist stated, bluntly. While the young woman was trying to figure out a way to respond to that, Idania turned and left, without another word.
You've been lost in the tunnels for nearly a week without food, and come across a small independent settlement.
There was a knock on the door. The woman who owned the house that the door was part of opened it to see another woman who, quite frankly, looked starved. Or maybe that was the corset; some women liked that sort of fashion…
“Hi,” said the visitor, cheerfully. “I’m absolutely starving. Mind if I completely impose and ask you to feed me?”
“Uh,” said the owner, eloquently. From the background, her husband asked who it was. She wasn’t sure of the answer, just yet.
“No? I’m an alchemist; I’ll trade you potions. I’m very good at starting fires…” said the alchemist, casually. Oh no, not another person extorting money. They barely had enough as it was…
“We don’t have anything you’d want…” said the woman of the house, looking fearful. The alchemist blinked in response. In the background, there was the sound of a child breaking something. Probably the vase… It had already been broken and glued back together twice now. The poor thing was looking like a crude puzzle by this point.
“Er. I wasn’t planning on burning down anything. I’m really just hungry and telling you my skill-set. I’m carrying some contraception, too…”
The two women stood in silence for a minute, before the homeowner’s mental gears clicked and she realized just how much she didn’t want a third child when she heard her husband chastising their oldest.
“Come inside…” said the tired mother of two. “And how much of it do you have…?”
You pass an old man lying on the side of the street, begging for food.
“Can you read?” Idania asked, softly.
The old man stared at her, then said slowly, “I can…”
Pulling out a book from her pack, she flipped to an empty page and ripped it out. She sat down next to the old man, flipping to another page in the book, and began copying what was on it to the blank page. It seemed like she was completely ignoring the old man now, which seemed a bit rude. Apparently she was really dedicated to writing.
“Er… Miss? You alright…?” asked the old man, bewildered at the woman sitting next to him.
“I’m fine,” Idania replied, not looking up from the book. After a few minutes she finished, and handed the man the page she had ripped out. “Here. “
Frowning in confusion, the old man read the paper. On it was a detailed description of many of the edible plants found in the area, and how to prepare them. In the margins, there were some notes on some similar, but poisonous plants and how to tell the difference and avoid them. At the very bottom of the page was a small note stating, “If fate were different, I would be right where you are.”
He looked up from the page to thank the woman, but she was already gone.
In a tavern, a slightly inebriated fellow insults your mother.
There was a long silence, after the man finished saying his very colorful insult. Idania looked at him, making a complicated and unreadable face. Then, she shrugged.
“I compliment your creativity. I only knew about half of those words,” she said. The drunk stared at her like she’d gone mad. The alchemist calmly paid for her half-finished drink, then got up and left without any sort of explanation while the man who had just insulted her mother looked confused.
Once she was safely out of the tavern and where no one could see her, Idania broke down crying.
You take a liking to a beautiful necklace a passing woman wears.
Idania made a complicated face and looked at the woman’s necklace. “That’s… A very nice necklace.”
“Thank you,” said the woman, looking flattered. “My husband bought it for me…”
Softly, Idania replies, “That looks like it’s from Horium, too. Must have been expensive.”
“Oh, it was,” continued the woman, boasting a bit. “It was a gift for the fifth anniversary of our marriage…”
“I’m very happy for you,” said Idania, looking anything but. “Necklaces like that are rare; he must really care about you.”
The woman smiled broadly, pleased with the compliments and not noticing Idania’s slight distress. “Thank you, we’re very happy together…”
Nodding slowly, the alchemist looked away. “Well. I should stop complimenting you before you think *I’m* in love with you. Have a nice day…”
Laughing at the joke, the woman went about her day, glowing a bit from the compliments.
Idania had neglected to tell her that the necklace had once been hers, and then sold to pay for her internment in the asylum. She also neglected to tell her that it had been a gift from her fiancée, before everything fell apart.
Do you have any questions about the server or our lore? Nope, seems pretty straightforward to me.
Other notes: None, but I can explain some of Idania’s secondary motivations if some of the In-Character Responses didn’t make sense.
EDIT: Found some typos. Fixed them.
EDIT2: After some pokes from friends, I realized that this thing's insanely long. Putting it in a spoiler! <3
Thanks! I kind of... Went a teensy bit nuts, there. Believe it or not, I left out a portion of her history; after she joined Vespero. By all rights, it should be longer. But, you know, Bc and Zia cut off theirs once their characters joined Vespero, so I figured I might as well follow suit.

I very much look forward to seeing how Vespero Scath does in the new server. I take it you guys are going to register for an official Faction?
Of course. And we very much look forward to being on the server.
I'm honestly curious. How do you guys keep in touch or decide what server to join? I've seen groups of 2 or 3 that join a server together before, but never one so large as yours.
We have a Skype group where we banter and joke around. We picked this server by making a list of all of the requirements each of us wanted; for example, I demanded a server with a whitelist. Once that was done, a few of us went searching, Bc came up with this server, and here we are.
It's scary how organized that sounds; it definitely didn't feel like it at the time. It was more like semi-directed, meandering chaos than the systematic democracy it sounds like.

Sounds like our staff! At the time it seems like total chaos, in hindsight it looks like perfect diplomacy and thorough thinking.
Well I certainly hope you find the server up to snuff, we've been working very hard to create a server everyone can enjoy.
Anyway, let's get cracking.
Accepted
Welcome to the server! You are invited to join upon our opening this September.
In the meantime, register on our website (http://shrines.enjin.com) and meet the community!
Jossar
Thanks to that simple fix, you're in! Welcome!
Jidek
Deffered
Your application lacked certain important qualities. You are invited to repost your application with any neccessary revisions, explained here.
None
Rejected
Your application, upon several resubmissions, failed to meet expectations- or you broke the rules in some way (explained here). You cannot reapply. We wish you luck in finding a new server.

Ugh... all these great applications! I feel like a pushover for accepting you all. We need some bad roleplayers up in this.
I could remake my app with some... changes
BTW, thanks for accepting me
lol'd, yeah, everyone else be serious about every aspect of your application. I only got away with the OOC stuff because I'm just incredibly adorable

Not really!
other notes: I am back and ready to start when I have enough time!
I wouldn't worry about it too much. Our comp's decent and I doubt we'll have more than 20 on at once anytime soon.

Character Information
Name: Morrigan Nightshade
Age: 19
Race: Human
Class: Herbalist
Physical description: Morrigan is of average height, with White hair and red eyes. She wears dark redish orange layered clothing in which she hides her weapons within.
Screen capture of your skin: http://imgur.com/bZ3mH
Morrigan: "Thank you sir" *pays for food*
You pass an old man lying on the side of the street, begging for food.
"Sir I do not have any on me, but fear not, come let us get you some food" *leads man to shop and buys bread for him*
In a tavern, a slightly inebriated fellow insults your mother.
Drunk: "What?"
You take a liking to a beautiful necklace a passing woman wears.
Morrigan: *smiles as the woman walks by. Thinks to self: "Even though that is a beautiful necklace, If I had it it would only hinder reaching for my darts" sighs before continuing on her walk*
Do you have any questions about the server or our lore?
None at all right now at least. If I think of any though I will be sure to ask.

He'll be posting some specs/ideas for the Order shrine later tonight.
Edit; Without reading anything, that is an impressive-looking app, Aestrix.
I can't actually recall which of you joined the community first. I know at least EB was here before I was.
