- Well, I've been in a lot of role-play servers. A fun thing for me to do is to make other players have fun. To build an adventure for player and see how they walk their way through it.
Have you read the rules, and do you agree to them?
- I have, and I do agree.
Your expectations:
- Realism. I noticed at the very top of the forum page is stated "No giant prefabricated buildings pasted in by bored admins." Giant, out-of-place structures pasted in sort of ruins the game for everyone. I'm looking for simple realism.
What do you think can you bring to the "Dawn of Time?":
- I suppose a few things.... I tend to build in a medieval style, and most of the time will try to build a series of towns and or villages. With that, I also enjoy creating "adventures" or "quests" around my towns/villages. I.e.: Caves, ruins, hidden chests, etc.
You're running through the forest late at night, skeletons at your heels. You're running out of energy and you realize you won't make it back to your humble abode before the skeletons tear you apart. Suddenly, a bright light is seen through a gap between tree branches, and you dash for it. You spot a small, wood cabin and dive through the door, slamming it shut behind you. You look around the cabin, and see a small, unlocked chest. There is a sign above the door "Welcome to Hyperion's Humble Home." What do you do?:
- After catching my breath, I see Mr. Hyperion himself starring at me awkwardly, holding a plate of bacon. I wonder why he has such a shocked look on his face. *Cough* I may have peed myself. Anyways, I introduce myself and mention that I'm in need of shelter for the night. Hyperion grants me permission, and promises me an iron sword as well as food at the first sight of dawn. However, to earn this favor, I must bring him back a special potion located in a dark, creeper-infested cave. If I do not return his favor and bring him back this potion, the Mojang Divines will forever haunt me and curse my name.
*SideNote: My apologies for being an idiot previously.
Minecraft Experience: Been playing since Alpha. Know my fair share of Redstone, not to much tho. Member of FyreUK, so I know some building I've played on alot of servers, some of them RP.
Age: 16, soon 17.
RP experience: Fair share of RP Servers, ALOT of Garrys Mod Roleplay, some Forum Thread Roleplay, and some on ROBLOX a few years back. Created a shitton of RP characters, here is one
Zealot is a hermit living in the woods.
During his (miserable) childhood, some peculiar events led him to hate evil and everything it stood for. When he was seven, his town was sacked and not a soul survived, but him. He fled as he could, young boy, but was captured by the enemy and held capture for many years. He lost track of time during his capture, but when he retells this dark tale he allways says: "Aye, I was thirteen when it happened, yes..", so we will take his word on it.
When he was eleven, after four years of capture, a group of valiant knights fell upon the bandits, and slayed them to the man. The boy was given the horse of the guard that had spat on him for all those years, and they rode away, leaving but dangling corpses from the loomy willows beside that road.
He was taken to a marvellous city of white marble and shining gold, and he was asked what he wanted to become.
"A priest", the boy answered, "to vanquish the evil of these lands."
But priesthood as but a highborne's hire, and he was sent to work in a monastery, crowning the Misty Peak. There he learnt of Piety and Religion, and he showed deep passion for the gods. He befriended the other monk's, and were soon fully one of them.
But nothing good ever lasts.
For the lands of Ymeria, where this story takes place, was hit by darkness, as the adjacent King's all grouped up and attacked the land from all sides. Noone were spared, for this was but an attack to wipe the nation out, and salt the earth.
And this were done, and soon Ymeria was nuff but a waste, and death came to the monastery as well. The gods did not answer the desperate monks plea, and they were all thrown out the windows, falling thousands of blocks before theyre candles of life got snuffed upon cold, harsh rocks.
Then they came for him, and he fell upon his knees praying.
But no answer came.
The leader of the enemies, clad in black, with a longsword shimmering as made out of gems, stabbed at his throat as he sat there. The air from the stab hit him first, and he tightened his muscles for the impact.
That never came.
He opened his eyes, and everything was frozen. The falling vase was stuck mid air, the sword was at his throat, and there was no sound to be heard, much like the abyss. And he rose to his feet, and took the sword from his opponents hands. He tried to hack and slash at the leader, and his armor was damaged, but his flesh took no wound.
And his confusion was big, for this had no logical reason. And he retreated to his room and meditated for years.
Upon the mark of the fifth year, he rose, not having tired or hungered by a bit. Neither had he aged.
And he started training his body, learning to wield the stolen blade, how to fight in the armor he had taken from a frozen soldier. He spent a decade training to become the very best, and by the end he could slice a mosquito in half, if there had been any.
And then time came.
The fight was long and hard, but none of the enemies had a decade of continous training. He emerged with bruises and cuts countless, and left the temple, sword in hand.
He travelled the lands, quickly realizing age had no effect on him. He started looking on him self as immortal, but after a clash with bandits and a week without food he realized that while age no longer did him harm, he still was mortal at heart.
He took hire on the road, a few years in Briton as a builder, and was purposefully captured and sent to slavery in the Mines of Mount. Black, to get the experience. He fled after fiftheen years, around the time the slavers started wondering why he did not grow older.
In the end he had more experiences than anyone, but all the information came at a price... He started forgetting his origins, and he were more a jack'o'all trades than what he had set out to become.
And he built himself a shed in the woods to practice his original purpose; to become a Paladin. that I[m not particulary proud of, had to throw him together in a hurry.
Have you read the rules, and do you agree to them? Of course!
Your expectations: I expect strict Roleplay enforcement and kick/bans for breach of OOC/IC, Meta and Powergaming and generally bad behaviour.
What do you think you can bring to the Dawn of Time?Good RP? Some laughs? Whatever is needed of me, so to speak.
There is a sign above the door "Welcome to Hyperion's Humble Home".What do you do? Depends on the situation. If the person seems poor, and the contains of the chest is those of a poor man, I stay untill morning and leave. If this chairs and gilded and diamonds fill the chests, I fill my pockets and stay. If he comes back I kill him. If he's not really rich, but neither poor, I would take what I need, and stay. But, so to speak, if there was diamonds, I would use his workbench and make my self a and slay the skeletons, before heading home, brandishing my new blade.
The format screwed up, Mcforum su~~s a~~ and I really hate it. I hope the App is good enough and I hope you will tell me what I did wrong if it isnt.
RP experience: I have never really role played before.
Have you read the rules, and do you agree to them? yes
Your expectations: Im am trying to find a really good server to play of long term. I also plan to join Spiffzombie's farm since he is a friend in real life.
What do you think you can bring to the Dawn of Time? I have always been good at farming and logging.

I look through the the chest and find a sword. I then run outside and start chopping the skeletons heads off. After an hour of hard fighting and taking two arrows to the knees, a zombie wielding a iron sword appears around the corner. The battle last for a good 20 minutes of battling, I killed the zombie and looted his sword. I then head back to the house where i took the sword. I put the sword and lots of bacon in the chest and head out.
Minecraft Experience: Playing since 1.6, know a little bit of building, not to much redstone..
Age: 15, soon 16.
RP experience:Zero to none. A few GMod RP Servers, but thats abouts it.
Have you read the rules, and do you agree to them? If I didnt, wouldnt I go read them now? Stupid question tbh.
Your expectations: Good RP Community, No griefers, Good admins.. Thats about it I guess.
What do you think you can bring to the Dawn of Time? Well, being a newb at servers like these, there isnt much I can bring, but there is much to be learnt.
You're running through the forest late at night, skeletons at your heels. You're running out of energy and you realize you won't make it back to your humble abode before the skeletons tear you apart. What do you do? I hide in the cabin untill dawn breaks an turns the evil mobs into dust. I then leave a coint as payment and set off home.
I meant it was a Stupid Question since anyone that didnt read them would go read them, like I actually DID.
What was lacking in detail? What do you do?I pull the door open in an hurry, and scurry inside, slamming it shut behind me. I instantly spot the chest, and my instincts tells me to open it. Inside I find clothes, food and other casual items. Realising there is nothing there that can assist me in a fight, I hide under the bed as the hordes of evil break the door down and flood into the room.
I lie there, shaking, untill dawn finally breaks, and the beams of light turn them to dust in an instant.
Lucky, I think to myself, as I get out from my hiding, back hurting.
As I wonder where the inhabitant of the house might be, I pull a Silver Coin from my pouch and put it on the creaky table.
I straighten my backpack, nick a bread and a roll of bacon from the chest, and walk out of the house trough the destroyed door.
Good enough? That's the section I felt was lacking, and now it should be more than long enough.
Minecraft Experience: As ive said before, I played since 1.6, I know how to build a house and survive, and all the other things you have to do in MineCraft. The finer aspects are enshrouded for me tho, as RedStone Knowledge Eludes me and I could not brew a Potion for the life of me. I played on quite a lot of servers and built my fair share of houses.
Age: 15, soon to be 16.
RP experience: I do not have much of an RP Experience. I've played Garrys Mod Roleplay, and some SAMP (San Andreas Multi Player) RP, while none of these were Strict RP, all of them Medium, like my friend tells me this is, I do know the basics. From the rules I learned the usual ((OOC)) is replaced by [OOC]. I know about Metagaming, Powergaming, IC and OOC, RP and DM.
Have you read the rules, and do you agree to them? I shouldnt even need to be answering this, as I did specify this earlier. I DID read the rules, and I DO ENJOY FU*KI** BACON. OKAY?
Your expectations: I expect good RP, no griefers, admins that know how to keep order, fix griefs, be nice to be players and not abuse, a nice community, lag-free experience, and a fun time.
What do you think you can bring to the Dawn of Time? I can bring.. Well, as I told you in my first post, im pretty new to RP, so I couldnt really bring much, but I could learn from the server and adapt from there.
You're running through the forest late at night, skeletons at your heels. You're running out of energy and you realize you won't make it back to your humble abode before the skeletons tear you apart. Are you pleased now? I think this should cover everything, and if this is lacking, I dont know what to do.
Minecraft Experience: I have been playing minecraft since Alpha. I pretty much know all the crafts by heart besides a few. My first server I ever played on I became a mod within 2 hours because people liked me and I was a good person. Just saying.
Age: 18
RP experience: I have done a lot of DnD roleplaying before and I have also roleplayed prety hardcore on a game called Garry's Mod. I used to be an admin on a Dark RP server and I made several characters there. I made one who was a bulgarian crime lord and I also made a character who was a writer for an independent writing agency who printed news about democracy and cats.
Have you read the rules, and do you agree to them? I actually have read the rules. Very good, indeed. I agree with them whole-heartily. EDIT: OH GOD I AM SOOOOOO SORRY! BACON BACON BACON! BACON EVERYWHERE! I MISSED THE SENTENCE! PLEASE STILL LOVE ME?! D:
Your expectations: I am expecting to roleplay the **** out of the server. I want to make a character who will live out his days in a nice town, making friends, getting married, and helping the city where need be. I expect myself to be so good at roleplaying that I will even impress every staff member at how awesome I am at roleplaying.
What do you think you can bring to the Dawn of Time? I think I can bring to Dawn of Time some humor, awesome kick-ass roleplay, and a new friend for you all to enjoy... me. I am also a film student, so I could also make some trailers for you. I could even make a machinima series on your server to advertise and do something for fun in the server community.
You're running through the forest late at night, skeletons at your heels. You're running out of energy and you realize you won't make it back to your humble abode before the skeletons tear you apart. You look around the cabin, and see a small, unlocked chest. There is a sign above the door "Welcome to Hyperion's Humble Home".What do you do? I take a more careful glance around the room. I hope I didn't disturb anyone. I check all around the house to see if this "Hyperion" is around. I see the skeletons come closer to the house. I began to panic. I go into the chest and look for supplies to use to defend myself. I find an iron sword and an iron helmet. I take both and leave a note for Hyperion telling him, "I am sorry I took your sword and helmet. I will re-pay you someday. I am engrave danger by skeletons. If I am not dead, I will come back in the morning to return what I have stolen. Good Night, sir! ~Captain Jack" I leave the house and go off to fight my enemies in the night. I never end up coming back to the house to return the stolen goods. The skeletons won that fight, but the war... it has just begun.
I hope you like my application and I hope you white list me. I really enjoy roleplaying and I think I would be a real good addition to your community.

Minecraft Experience: I have been playing since 1.4 beta so yeah i can't exactly remember how long ago that was. I have a fair enough understanding of redstone to know how to make Auto piston doors. I also (in my eyes) see myself as a fair enough Medieval builder or Roleplayer.
Age: 16
RP experience: Yes i made a unique character he was my best RP character before being betrayed by the bandits life he spared. It was a fun experience having to make a new character too Even if he killed me just for the 'BACON'
Have you read the rules, and do you agree to them? Yes
Your expectations: That it will be an enjoyable journey through roleplay and also being on a server with other Great RolePlayers
What do you think you can bring to the Dawn of Time? A fair player who won't do anything rude or that will require consequences, excluding roleplaying things.
Crawl into the corner of the cabin and be sure not to be in direct view of the windows. Then having been successfully hidden, wait for the House owner to return home and explain the situation that happened that night in order to hopefully be pardoned for trespassing.
Minecraft Experience: I've been playing for at least 3 years now. I've dabbled in redstone but im no pro.
Age: 18
RP experience: I was on this server last year but can't remember excatly what my character was. I can think of a new one no problem though.
Have you read the rules, and do you agree to them? Yes, yes I have and yes I will
Your expectations: I expect a nice environment as of that when I was on many moons ago filled with bacon.
What do you think you can bring to the Dawn of Time? I am a great builder with a big imagination.
You're running through the forest late at night, skeletons at your heels. You're running out of energy and you realize you won't make it back to your humble abode before the skeletons tear you apart. Then I look into the chest for anything useful as this is an emergency, however there is nothing of use in the chest. I stand there waiting all night and watch the skeletons burn in the day. I proceed to walk home hungry and tired.
Minecraft Experience: Hm... About a year, now. I don't know anything about Redstone past simple levers and lines.
Age: 16
RP experience: Well, there was this one time I joined a rather well-known RP server, Lord Of The Craft or something. Unfortunately, I was temp. banned from there for building a floating structure... And I guess I never got unbanned. Oh well.
Have you read the rules, and do you agree to them? Hah, rules. I have no time for these, "rules". (Of course I have, and I agree with them)
Your expectations:*shrug* A SMP server to play on without the silent try-hards and zombie players (y'know, those guys that never talk and just swing their swords wildly at anything they see?)
What do you think you can bring to the Dawn of Time? I don't know. Another number for a player statistic? Maybe a half-way decent member of the community?

Well, if nobody's home I'd probably just hang out for the night. If he's home I'd ask him for some food and maybe a weapon and offer compensation for said items if I don't have them on me. If I wanted to gain some influence with him I might try to beguile him with some idle comments on how nice his home looks.

Welcome to the server, you two!
Still think it's a "Stupid question"?
What was lacking in detail?

Lucky, I think to myself, as I get out from my hiding, back hurting.
As I wonder where the inhabitant of the house might be, I pull a Silver Coin from my pouch and put it on the creaky table.
I straighten my backpack, nick a bread and a roll of bacon from the chest, and walk out of the house trough the destroyed door.
Good enough? That's the section I felt was lacking, and now it should be more than long enough.
Also, the whole application was lacking detail, not just the last question. But that last question is fine now.
Lucky, I think to myself, as I get out from my hiding, back hurting.

Thanks for this opportunity, Dawn of Time!
Can't wait to play.
And Fugitivebush...
We prefer to keep our **** in the server and not out, but you're accepted as well.
Welcome to DoT, both of you.
I am sorry. I got carried away, Please forgive me. I just really like roleplaying a lot.
tomphilly2112, I remember you! You're spiff's friend, correct? Accepted.
Why yes I am.
