Come compete to see if you have what it takes to be Minecraft's Next Top Builder! Win games on Steam, or a donation in your name to the server of your choice!
Minecraft's Next Top Builder is a build competition, with weekly build events. The contest is broken into three challenges, Iron, Gold, and Diamond.
The Iron Challenge is open to all contestants, and allows builders to compete on 16x16 plots for one week. Ten winners will be selected to go on to the Gold Challenge. Iron contestants have a gray name in chat.
The Gold Challenge is open to winners of the Iron Challenge from the previous week. Ten contestants will compete on 32x32 plots, with one week to build. Only one will be selected to go on to the Diamond Challenge. Gold Contestants have a yellow name in chat.
The Diamond Challenge is held every four weeks, and is open to the winners of the Gold Challenge from the last four weeks. Contestants will compete on private 64x64 plots, with two weeks to build. The winner is Minecraft's Next Top Builder. Diamond Contestants have a light blue name in chat.
The collective challenges leading up to a Diamond challenge are known as a round. So a complete round consists of four Iron challenges, four Gold challenges, and one Diamond challenge. Rounds will typically last seven weeks, ending with the announcement of the Next Top Builder. Rounds will overlap, so Top Builders will typically be picked every four weeks.
If you are participating in a Gold or Diamond challenge, you can also participate in the Iron Challenge that week as well. It is possible to win more than one Gold Challenge, thus increasing your odds of becoming the next Top Builder. Just because you are participating in multiple challenges at the same time does not give you extra time; so plan accordingly.
Prizes for each round will vary, depending on sponsors, donors, and availability of prizes. At the start of the round, the prizes will be announced on the front page of the site. Some rounds may have multiple prizes, or offer the winner a choice of prize. Check back at the start of each round for more details.

Judging will take place after the portal is closed for the previous weeks build. The builds will be graded on the following areas:

The highest rated builds will move on to the next challenge.

Less than a day left for the storage room build, then a new theme will be picked for the next Iron Challenge. Now is the time to enter if you are looking for that extra chance to win a prize!
And here's my entry for the gold contest this week... theme: underwater complex I did a deep sea salvage operation so the top has a research/scientific ship and underwater at the bottom is a shipwreck being explored by a submarine with an ROV.
