Yet you keep bumping the thread thereby enabling people to read the OP within this thread.
Yes, my posts essentially cause this thread to be bumped to the top of the list. However, would you rather I ignore posts on this thread and let them go unanswered as I have done for the past six months?
I.E. most people read the OP and then post, they don't typically read all of the posts in between.
This is something I have an issue with - it irritates me to no end. I expect people to actually read things, and realise that the opening post hasn't been updated. Following that, I would expect them to check the latest posts on the last page. If they had done so, they would have realised they need to use our discord, or website instead.
You have taken the liberty of speaking on behalf of all the server users, yet the OP remains, without edit, and clearly instructing readers to post here to gain access.
Liberty? I am the one who manages the server. The one who owns it is aegisjester, and much like myself and many others who previously used this forum, we have moved to other platforms. Unless I ask him for his account info to edit it myself, it will remain as is.
Also, what evidence do you have that supports your claim that this site has been "abandoned by the majority of the Minecraft community"?
I have none, but I very much doubt I need any evidence. These forums were once the focal point for general Minecraft community interaction. As time went by, people slowly began to move to other platforms, such as reddit and discord. There's even an official Minecraft discord, where all of the Mojang, and Microsoft developers are.
There were two final nails in the coffin - first the twitch/curse account merger, then the rescinded shutdown announcement. Very few people use this graveyard any more.
Perhaps you believe that since the OP hasn't updated this thread to meet with your approval that therefore s/he is inactive and the majority of the minecraft community is as well?
This line is just nonsense. It almost seems like you're projecting.
I'm super curious though as to where you get this from because MCF is one of the highest referral sites for other MC sites within the MC community. 2.2K for example compared to 1.5K over at PMC and only 562 over at curseforge. You get a larger number of outlinks in a community that has more active users posting those links than on other sites.
If you haven't been keeping up with the Minecraft community, that's on you. I have no stats to show you, and I'm inclined to believe you pulled yours out of thin air.
What I can say, is the official Minecraft discord server is nearing 500,000 members, with 100,000+ online and actively interacting with one another.
The point is, as stated, the Minecraft Forums as a whole, are defunct. Not just this thread. Sure, a handful of people still post and create threads here. However, user retention is at an unfortunate low since most users have relocated elsewhere.

Howlong you’ve been playing minecraft
Since 2016 actively
Your age 19(we have no age limit, but most players are over 18)
Something about you or why you want to join Name something you've always wanted to build in Minecraft
I really enjoy working with people and building towns and houses. I think playing survival with people just adds more experience to the whole game.
I used to play on other small servers too but they shut down.
I would like to make new friends here
Thx

How long I've been playing: 9ish years
Something about me: I've been looking for a good survival server for a few months, I hope this one is the best:)
Age: 16
Something I've wanted to build: a full auto furnace connected to a large storage system, all survival
What version is this on?
Six months after you submitted it, I'll address your post as best I can.

The official subreddit is a bit more lopsided, with over 2 million users, and only around 12,000 active ones.
