Sorry, I would have, but I didn't see your post until afterwards. Again, I apologize.
Oh well, it's regrettable that you've chosen to forfeit, since you showed reasonable potential. I wish you good luck in your future Minecraft multiplayer endeavors. ^^
Aw, that's too bad. His new application looks really good.
I know, but what choice can we have if we can't "read" it, even when I asked him politely. There is always a rhyme and reason for why we ask awkward things... what matters isn't so much the application, but rather how the applicant presents said application, and more importantly how well the applicant is willing to listen or deal with certain situations. People who don't grasp that concept typically end up digging their own graves even if their application is correct on all technical levels. ^^
I still really want to join, though I'm not sure if you will accept me, but this is probably the best Gulliver mod server, so your standards must be quite high. Even so, I'm still hoping. Please?
You're acting as if you were told you were denied. I told you that your application was great, you just needed your random facts down. All Cia told you to do was repost your application, not that you were out.
Okay, here is the newest version of my application sheet
1) What is your Minecraft username (or "IGN")?
DocNeon
2) Please explain why you would like to join the Server.
This server looks like it has a large, helpful, active community, and it
supports my all-time favorite Minecraft mod (the Gulliver mod of
course, which I discovered from watching a mod showcase video). The
"advertisement" video for the server was cool, very well made, and I
have no prior experience on gulliver mod servers, but there's always a
first for everything!
3) Please explain how your talents, skills, experience, personality traits, and aspirations can help contribute positively to our server.
I enjoy building very much, and I'm good at it too. I prefer being tiny
from being giant, and I love playing with other players. I'm quite
intellectual, but affectionate and friendly, and I like to joke around,
but I can be serious when it is called for. I hate griefing and
bullying, and I think that it doesn't make the game any more fun for
anyone. On a side note, I enjoy occasional roleplays, though I'm sure
they can be much more fun with the Gulliver mod.
4) Please list five random facts about yourself that can help differentiate you from other players.
1. I enjoy drawing and painting. Last year at school I took an
advanced art class and got an A! I also have a folder filled to burst
with random sketches and doodles that I make every now and then.
2. I moved from South Africa to the U.S.A in October last year. I am enjoying life very much here, but I miss my old friends.
3. I like reading fantasy and science fiction books. One of my
favorite fantasy book series is the Inheritance Cycle (the Eragon books
if that makes more sense)
4. I am in a competition to create the best Rube Goldberg machine. In
the competition, you have to build a device that uses certain kinds of
machine types (only mechanical, nothing electrical is allowed) to
perform a task specified by the judges (in this case, ring a bell).
5. I am learning Python (a programming language). I hope to be able
to make a proper game some day, but for now, I'm happy with the Monty
Python references on codeacademy.com
^w^
5) To ensure you understand your rights and responsibilities on our server, please read the Novice's Creed, and write down one right or responsibility that you enjoy the most.
No.4. You have the right to build a home of an appropriate scale [and make] in an unclaimed area.
Of all things, I think I will enjoy building my home the most.
6) And finally, to confirm that you read the Big Sister Server Quick Guide please write down the name of the official server currency.
CHEESE! (represented by sponge and lapis lazuli blocks)
Hallelujah!!! Doc finally reposted his application... it only took him like the equivalent of two days. I was starting to think he didn't want to join after all. XD
Anyway, KFC it sounds like you're on top of this application, so feel free to take care of it tomorrow, thank you. ^^
2) Please explain why you would like to join the Server.
When I saw the trailer for this server I was amazed and immediately looked for a way to join. I like how friendly, fun and cooperative the server looked, as well as the amazing detail and clearly shown dedication to it. It goes without saying that this server is truly unique from other servers, and I would love to be a part of it.
3) Please explain how your
talents, skills, experience, personality traits, and aspirations can
help contribute positively to our server.
I have good experience with communicating with others. I always try to be friends with people I meet. I like to help out in any way I can, it's very encouraging to me and gives me a feeling of purpose and strength to go on everyday. I try my best to help people feel better; I know what it feels like to be upset and I dont want others to have to go through that alone. My goal is to spread positivity around to others. As for building, I feel I am pretty decent in this department.
4) Please list five random facts about yourself that can help differentiate you from other players.
• I make my own milkshakes with egg nog
• I have a diverse music taste.
• I try to make others laugh ^.^
• I am a software developer
• I'm pretty good at math and physics
5) To ensure you understand your rights and responsibilities on our server, please read the Novice's Creed, and write down one right or responsibility that you enjoy the most.
Unless promoted beforehand, you have the right to request a promotion to Veteran status after no
less than one month of exhibiting good behaviour on our server.
I chose this right because it demonstrates how generous you guys are. It truly shows to me that you take into account our enjoyment of the server and take the time out to focus on things such as this, and it makes me happy to see it because in this world, generally, people dont share that attitude.

2. Simply because I like the gulliver's mod, and none of my friends want to play it with me, so maybe I could make some new ones on this server. Plus, this is a whitelisted server so in general there'll be good people on it. I heard about the mod from a youtube video, and I heard about the server from the mod forum page.
3. Well, Im a quirky cheesy boy who likes to build, and I hope to be able to come on and find creative ways to use stairs and make hide and go seek maps. As far as maturity goes, depends on your definition. I like to act like a kid and stuff (you know, silly stuff), but I try to stay away from anything vulgar.
4. Gosh dangit I gotta come up with 5 things about myself? But Im boring! Welp here goes.
A. Im attempting to learn to code.
B. I'm kinda sorta trying to make a yt channel, but I am so far failing.
C. I play videogames way more than I should
D. (Kinda started scraping the barrel at C.) Im really picky, I hardly like basically anything.
E. And I guess at the time of me writing this, Iv almost finished watching all 8 seasons of Dr Who on netflix.
5. If adventurous, you have the right to build and live in public thematic maps such as the Cheese
Quest house, provided your habitation positively contributes to, rather than negatively impacts, the
thematic value of the map.

Hope I can come on the server soon! Really like the mod and meeting people (and hopefully someone finally playing Gulliver's Hide n Seek)

Hey there, KC again!
Okay, I'll just go over your Question 4 answers this time.
1. Cool! We've got lots of artists here, and have a thread for posting your artwork on our forums you can check out ^w^
2. Wow, that's far. I hope you were able to keep in touch.
3. Ohh! Me too! I haven't read Eragon before, but I've heard of it.
4. Awesome! I love seeing Rube Goldberg machines, but never have the time or patience to build one
Okay! Your facts have greatly improved, and you definitely pass! I can recommend you for a whitelist now.

Thank you KFC! Whitelist approved, welcome aboard. ^^
See, as long as you're calm, collective, courteous and attentive to staff instructions, you really have nothing to fear with these applications. ^^
DocNeon's first application was great. His facts were looked pretty fine to me. Yet it had just barely passed.
Are my facts bad? I feel like they're not nearly as good as his first one, let alone his second one, or enough to meet your standards. I'm scared
Hehe... DocNeon retroactively-edited his first application, so it only appears fine because it was based off thorough revision and feedback -- it's a big reason why we discourage editing prior posts as it skews historical analysis like that. Luckily, Kacii made a copy of his original application, which you can read through here....
It was by no means horrible, which is why we were so lenient with him (even after that awkward 2-day delay), but it did have a few fatal flaws which, nonetheless, were quite easy to fix.
As for your application, it is also above average compared to what we usually deal with, so I wouldn't necessarily be scared if I were you [nor would you want to show fear since that would make us wary of your tolerance to pain]. I would say that if things, especially Question 4 facts, look too short or vague or intangible (say, for instance, stating as fact that "I like happy thoughts, yay!!" as opposed to a much better "I like to go cycling at nearby nature preserves on a warm sunny day to feel happy and healthy!"), chances are they ARE too short and vague and intangible, and you would certainly do no wrong in padding them a little to increase your chances of being accepted and, simultaneously, decreasing your chances of getting yelled at. Also important is to avoid saying silly things you expect to regret later in an attempt to be cute or funny or quirky or edgy -- we've seen LOTS of people shoot themselves in the foot over and over again because they incorrectly assumed we would tolerate their crud.
Since this is not technically a review (I'm exiting the whitelist review business for a bit to offer more opportunities for my staff), consider this friendly advice, and take advantage of the opportunity to edit what you already have to make it even better and bulletproof! Or if you're convinced what you have is good enough, just wait for the next available staff person to review your application, then kindly follow his or her feedback to make it better if your app needs improvement.
So long as you're responsible about this, you have nothing to fear but fear itself. ^^
Hey Cia. It means alot that you took the time out to respond to me. I was just concerned because personally I hate taking shots in the dark. Thank you for helping me to broaden my perspective on this. As you could understand, this seems like the best server out there right now, and as a human, I got a little anxious. But thank you for clearing this up.
I may need to beg for your patience since currently it's a busy time of the year for my staff, what with work, school, vacation or sickness. But you will definitely get reviewed, as will Bryself up there.

Cheese Blocks(Sponges) or Blue Cheese Blocks (Lapis blocks)
Thank you for considering me, Big Sister!
Hey! I'm KC, and I'll be reviewing your application!
Question 1:
Yes, and what an original name!
Question 2:
Woohoo! Thank you for keeping to the word limit, you have 64 words here! It’s been so rare to see that lately, this feels refreshing.
I appreciate that you talked about our trailer and noted that you found us fun, friendly and cooperative, we try our best to keep the atmosphere of the server that way. Even though that video is over a year old and a LOT has changed since then, you still found it gushing with details and small nuances that help make us unique. We like to hear that, and I’m sure you will adore the completed Spawnington and the far greater range of exciting new places to visit and explore!
Question 3:
You went above and beyond the word limit here too! You also mention that helping people gives you a purpose, however, you should make sure this sound like you’re saying that you specifically need to be helping someone to feel purposeful. Asides from that, you mention communication, which is always important, being friendly, and building (modestly, I should add ^^).
Question 4:
Aww! Sadly, all of your question 4 responses are too short (they need to be full sentences), and Cia hinted earlier that they were too short so I think you didn’t read between the lines. But don’t worry, this doesn’t mean you can’t fix this later… and if the rest of the application is good, I might be able to let this slide.
1> Milkshakes are yummy, but since this sentence is too short, I don’t know much else about your milkshake hobby… What kinds of flavours do you like besides egg nog? Chocolate? Cookies n Creme? Apple pie? Strawberry?
2> Diverse music taste doesn’t say much. How about telling us what kind of music you like? Do you like Classical music? Rock and roll? Dance hall? Or Rave music?
3> Hrrm… this really belongs in Question 3, TBH. Maybe you should try another fact, or how about telling us what kind of comedy routines you use to make people laugh. Maybe you’re the next Carrot Top?
4> Software developer… of? Do your work, attend a computer science class, or program smartphone games? What programming language? Does he use Windows, Mac, Linux or other?
5> “Pretty good” at math and physics doesn’t say much. Maybe you’re a high school student getting by, or an adult who just likes to learn it in his free time. Without any specifics, I can’t really get a good picture of your personality.
Question 5:
Oh, that’s a good one! Great choice! And thank you for writing something up about it, too. I’m assuming you’re talking about other minecraft servers here, and not real life, as there are plenty of people who pay attention to detail in real life. Although, I have to admit that many other minecraft servers are too large for the staff to pay attention to players, or there isn’t enough staff to take care of it, so I see where you’re coming from.
Question 6:
Yay! Bonus points for mentioning blue cheese!
Okay, there's nothing terribly wrong with your application, but your question 4 is just too weak for me to be able to let through. Fix up that one, and be sure to repost your application, and you'll be ready to go!
1) What is your Minecraft username (or "IGN")? Jinx_Ruby
2) Please explain why you would like to join the Server.
Well I really enjoy playing Minecraft, - almost cerainly not unlike most of the other players applying for this - but it can get a little dull just playing the default version; I thought it would be fun to try it with a twist. Also, the reason I didn't just download this mod, but rather apply for a server was because it just gets lonely in general on singleplayer and I think it's quite cool that you can make friends through a video game, even though you most likely will never meet those friends in person and it also just makes the experience more enjoyable when there's someone to which you can talk.
3) Please explain how your talents, skills, experience, personality traits, and aspirations can help contribute positively to our server.
I love building, surviving, and helping in Minecraft. The reason I chose to apply for this server rather than just going on any other random server, was not only because of the Gulliver's Mod, but in addition because I have played an various servers on which high-ranked players discriminate people based on their rank. I think it is fantastic how this server gives even players of the lowest rank rights. I also cannot stand acts like griefing, excessive inappropriate language or buildings and definitely be willing to report these things and other similar things that are against rules. I wish more servers could be more friendly in this way.
4) Please list five random facts about yourself that can help differentiate you from other players.
• Most of the time, I don't care what people think of me, on the internet and in person. I say things that would make some people consider me as a "weirdo" (which I am), yet it doesn't bother me at all.
• I love art in many different forms, for example drawings, paintings, jewelry, architecture, gardening, interior design, pottery and many other things.
• I own two working Blackberry cell phones, while all my friends have smart phones and I'm really jealous, though not to an extreme point.
• I watch a wide range of YouTube channels, for example iHasCupquake, HowToCookThat, NigaHiga, Grav3yardgirl, etc..
• I love many kinds of Asian foods, for example Thai food, Indian, Japanese, Chinese, etc.. The list could go on.
5) To ensure you understand your rights and responsibilities on our server, please read the Novice's Creed, and write down one right or responsibility that you enjoy the most.
12. If held or kidnapped by a Giant player against your will, or attacked by a PvP-obsessed player, you have the right to protest the act or defend yourself if necessary.
6) And finally, to confirm that you read the Big Sister Server Quick Guide please write down the name of the official server currency.
Cheese. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention earlier, I LOVE CHEESE. I love trying new kinds of cheeses, especially strong, sophisticated types, like Brie and Camembert. Yum.
Sorry, I would have, but I didn't see your post until afterwards. Again, I apologize.
Oh well, it's regrettable that you've chosen to forfeit, since you showed reasonable potential. I wish you good luck in your future Minecraft multiplayer endeavors. ^^

DocNeon's first application was great. His facts were looked pretty fine to me. Yet it had just barely passed.
Are my facts bad? I feel like they're not nearly as good as his first one, let alone his second one, or enough to meet your standards. I'm scared
Thank you KFC! Whitelist approved, welcome aboard. ^^
See, as long as you're calm, collective, courteous and attentive to staff instructions, you really have nothing to fear with these applications. ^^

Not a problem, that's what I'm here for. ^^
I may need to beg for your patience since currently it's a busy time of the year for my staff, what with work, school, vacation or sickness. But you will definitely get reviewed, as will Bryself up there.

Yum.
