Oh yeah, it's you again. >.>
Well thanks to one of our worst players we've ever had, we're now practically outlawing the practice of TitleCased text. You can continue using it if you want, but don't expect us to read your app in that format.
I've been thinking your ignoring my posts... Im wondering What exactly can i do to get into the server?
Well perhaps not claiming that Im ignoring your posts, since last you spoke you were rightfully looking for another server. I don't see any need to spend any more of my own time. ; (
1.My InGame name is R11D1 (in the new 1.8 Update it will be changed into "TheSlime")
2.I have played with the Gulliver mod and after one hour, I felt very lonely. I searched for a Gulliver modded server and after a few hours, I found the bigsister server. I would like it to join this awesome server, playing some classic games like chess, exchanging cheese and and having fun with the other players. In my opinion it´s the best server I can join with the mod! (I have just found other servers but they were closed ) I saw that there are still some free slots.
3.I like to build some older houses like castles and windmills or ruins. I use the chat often so you can talk to me a lot! I know how to use commandblocks and redstone. I can create my own texture pack and know how to fight against mobs! I like to play togheter.
4.I am the Owner of a crazy cat named shamsy (which means "sunny").He´s able to climb ladders. I am in an orchestra for strings. I like cheese a lot (and i am very unhappy that notch only gave us a SPONGE in Minecraft, not cheese) Table Tennis is my favourite sport. I am non-greedy so i dont have to own EVERYTHING (just a Win8 PC)
5.I like this Right: Right 20 : With good behaviour, you have the right to onetime introductory bread and cheese.
6.The currency is cheese (and bread) So I hope you read my app and let me join, and I wait until I am able to exchange some cheese You can even see a huge cow on my Profile image.
Hello there,
Well this is a bit awkward, but I've been having trouble rounding up staff interested in reviewing your whitelist, so I guess I'm all you got at the moment.
The problem is that I typically like to look a little past the veil, so even if your app (despite some bad formatting) more or less touches on the kinds of answers we're looking for, my Cia sense begins to tingle when something is a bit wrong. Not just in the content, but also in the... timing and similarities to other applications.
That being said, let me have you answer a few series of questions, whereby I can test your logic and reasoning behind some of the more peculiar things about your app...
1 - What made you think we had free slots? As far as I'm concerned, the word "slot" never appears in any of our server literature, and for good reason (which I won't point out now, since that would give off the answer).
2 - Surely you realize you won't be opped on our server, so why did you feel it prudent to mention that you're great with command blocks?
3 - When you mention you "like to play togheter [sic]", and I assume you mean "together", who is this other person or people you like to play with? You can't mean us as that's implied, unless you mean you will never sign on to our server unless at least one person is online.
4 - Why don't you have your facts bulleted out, making it harder for me to read? It almost seems like "He's able to climb ladders" is fact #2, and would make you automatically fail
5 - Why are you unhappy with Notch when he hasn't actually done any Minecraft development in over a year? Sounds a little ungrateful, and I can sympathize with a person who unfairly gets criticized for something that may not have been his call.
6 - Why do you feel it prudent to mention that you're "non-greedy", since that should be implied of all decent human beings applying to our server, unless of course the player is normally demented and has to try really hard to perform socially-acceptable behavior. Also, a Win8 PC is a bad example of non-greed, for reasons I can elaborate on demand. ;P
7 - And are you sure you fully understand how our cheese currency works? From your last statement, you sound a little confused as to what it is.
So there you have it, some more questions I'll need from you, and a good indicator of how difficult it can be to get on our server. After all, we have no "slots" to fill.
Incidentally, active gulliver servers do exist, though most cannot be found here on the Minecraft forum. I would search in Planet Minecraft and Youtube for a few more examples, as these smaller servers are definitely more eager for players, and could use someone as passionate as you are to join them.
Germany it is then, very well. Don't mind the extra security, but a disreputable person from our other forum who was rejected tried to get into our server forcibly using other accounts. Those were also stamped out, but your app appeared not too long after the incident, and also has similar text mannerisms. Therefore, before we could begin to do your app review, we had to confirm that you are who you say you are.
Ill process a review later, although it may still require a good deal of work before it can meet the minimum requirements for a whitelist.
Also, you are reading the "slots" wrong... that means our server can support up to 40 people being logged on simultaneously, and the 4 simply means that at the time you looked, only 4 out of 40 people were playing. Our busiest traffic ranges between 15 and 20 simultaneous players. And our total registered player count is in fact around 96... so Big Sister and Little Brother combined could not offer enough "slots" for all our available players if they somehow could log in all at once.
I will search for...
Wait. It was on the other Forum.
The "disreputable person" has ruined my day
How can you confirm that I am the one I say I am..
Did the "disreputable person" use the word slots wrong too?
Well, I am sad about that.
I just know that my IP-adress isnt already existing on Minecraft Forums.
I am the fist one who joint Minecraft Forums from my Network
We have our methods of doing so, but I cannot discuss them here. All I can say is that its an unfortunate side effect of maintaining a safe server environment without the benefit of Bukkit plugins... most of the security checks have to be done on the application end, so verbal frisks are commonplace (if you read through the last cpuple of pages here on this forum, you'll see what I'm talking about).
In short, if anyone wishes to join, they will have to pass through and expect the virtual equivalent of a security checkpoint, the ones with crude xray scanners, bag checks and the works. If a person is not prepared for that, then there will be problems... but if everything is handled in a way that makes our lives easier, then it will be a simple and delightful routine checkup for the both of us.
I am not that good at first impressions but here goes nothing
1. My Minecraft username is Testificate456.
2. I would really like to join the server because I would love to meet others who enjoy gullivers mod. I was looking for a gulliver's mod server and this one looked to be the best. It was professional and a lot of time was put into it. The same goes for the staff and videos. I would love to be a part of the community.
3. Some of my talents include coming up with ideas and working with others. I am hardworking and persistent. I am very cooperative. I am an ok builder and really love the mod.
4.
I play the drums.
I like playing older video games more than new ones.
I'm colorblind.
I want to be a chef.
I have one pet dog.
5. The responsibility from the Novice's Creed That I enjoy the most is helping others who are new to the server.
6. And finally, the server's official currency is cheese. (One of my favorite foods!)
Thank you for taking the time to read this and have a great day

Hello yet again,
If there are no objections and no indication that you wish to withdraw from the application process, then I will go ahead and process your review.
It may seem a little harsh at times, but in general we don't view lack of language ability as an excuse to write a bad app, simply because we're not actively looking for "any" player, but rather "good-quality" players that can help grow and maintain our server. If a potential player will drain rather than add to our server, then we likely will not whitelist him or we likely will kick him out early on. Therefore, we expect nothing short of a person's BEST EFFORT with the application, because if they show signs of trouble or laziness or psychosis early on, what hope will we have that it will improve in-game, exposing our valuable works of art and the peace of mind of some of our younger players?
So if you're not able to use my feedback to improve your application, I strongly suggest you try another Minecraft server or Gulliver server, as we will not be what you are looking for in a server. If on the other hand you wish to demonstrate your effort to me, then read on:
Question #1: Mid-game username changes are annoying, so already you're scheduled to cause me a small bit of trouble... and you're not even a player yet.
Question #2: I find it shocking that you felt lonely with the mod after an hour, that leads me to a believe that you're a person that needs constant and continuous social interaction. This is not always possible on our server, either because there are no players, or the players present may be too busy or unwilling to interact with you (i.e., me). If these scenarios will torment you terribly, then this is not the server for you as we expect our players to be strong and self-sufficient. Whining will not be tolerated. ;P
And whether we're the best is debatable since we no longer have any comparable competition to judge ourselves against (running a Gulliver server is not easy, you know); but if we've come this far, it's because we do not just simply accept anyone. This is both good in that it keeps the server easy to maintain, but bad in the sense it breeds resentment. In short, we may be "good" for a Minecraft server, but we are not the best.
Question #3: Touching on question #2, unless you make other like-minded friends, don't expect a whole lot of chatter. Badgering others to talk to you is not acceptable either, and is a good way to get a nice kick in the shin (not to say you would, but we've had other lesser players try and guilt-trip others into talking to them, only to get rightfully disciplined for their monumental stupidity). However, the ability to build older-style houses would be nice, so long as you don't use oak wood and cobble as your sole building material (ugh). XD
Question #4:
a - Another pet fact, I'm starting to regret including one in my sample list. This is the feather that broke the camel's back, so you stand proud in being the reason I will change the pet fact in my sample list. >v<
b - Music facts are safe, though, we don't get too many of these.
c - This always seems like a cop-out since our server currency also happens to be cheese. However, I do know that it is possible to literally be addicted to cheese due to its casomorphin, an opiod protein that can bind to the brain and encourage an addiction to the stuff. And per your earlier answer, no you may NOT blame Notch -- Jeb and other programmers are the ones you want to talk to, and in fact they've already started doing something with sponges again.
d - Okay.
e - Even your followup answer is a little awkward... it is simply impossible to own everything, so your question is more philosophical than factual and tells me nothing about you. Actually scratch that, it does tell me SOMETHING about you, but nothing you wouldn't like... you have no material greed, but based on the earlier part of your application you have social greed, you yearn to be the center of attention, and you use such an altruistic statement to garner interest in you so that people far and wide will crowd around and love you, satisfying your insatiable craving for attention. What a greedy greedy little man you are.
Of course it's probably not true, but you see what happens when you're not specific? I would not bother with abstract notions like this, and would instead focus on another useful hard fact.
Question #5:
And for someone who's not greedy, you sure picked one of the greediest, most useless rights there are.
Your anti-greediness is null and void, you are officially greedy now. Pick a better fact for question #4e, or hang your head in shame (whichever is best for you). No bread and cheese for you in the meantime! ;D
Question #6:
Incorrect, bread is not the currency in any way shape or form (and in fact it's not even a regional currency yet either). So now you're greed has increased 40,000-fold, because on top of wanting nothing more than cheese and bread, you tried to be slick and get it without even bothering to read my full server documentation. You fell for the trap, and now your rampant greediness is exposed for the entire world to see! But I don't fault you... it's that Windows 8 that plays tricks on people's mind and forces them to do greedy things they normally wouldn't. Call it a form of mind-control. XD
Verdict: Now of course I'm only kidding with you, but all the silliness above is to prove a point about trying to pass poorly written and abstract notions as factual information that we can use to assess your personality. If it's not in a good, properly typed, easy-to-read format, what choice do we have as poor, overworked application reviewers than to assume only the worst in you?
The only consolation I can offer you is that the application is not the most horrible, wretched thing I've seen in my life (there have been worse, including from that disreputable person); but it is not good, and it requires more work to put it up to a standard that would make us comfortable to whitelist you. This is effort that I'm not sure that you're able to afford at this time, so sorry to say this may be goodbye.
At least you tried, and no one can say you weren't a good sport throughout the whole ordeal. Wherever you end up going, I wish you all the best and hope that you have a happy and healthy life. ^^

Hello Testificate,
Thank you for a fairly straightforward application. Unfortunately, due to persistent abuse of our application process, we have had to tighten the requirements a bit to conform to a stricter standard. So while your Question #2 meets the minimum word length, Question #3 will need some extra content (or at least full sentences) to meet the minimum 60-90 word requirement. And full sentences are now mandated in Question #4 (whereas before it was more of a footnote).
I also added a little something to stop the overuse of pet examples, although in your case you're free to keep it so long as you elaborate on it (to make it a full sentence).
For more information, please review the updated application guidelines on the first page of this thread.
Please make the necessary revisions so we can properly review your work.
Thank you.
I am out of this.
If i could explain it in german it would be so much easier for me to write a good application.
Thanks for giving me a chance.
I think i wasted my time.
You can reply to this but i wont read it.
I will search for other servers.
Like I said, there's no fault for trying. Thank you for your interest.
Sorry for the inconvenience. Here is my revised application.
3. Some talents of mine include coming up with ideas and working with others. I am an ok builder but it is not my specialty. I never give up on my goals and I work hard on them. I am very creative and innovative which could be a big help to the server. I am usually quite positive and don't complain about things. These qualities would help the server out a lot.
4.
I play the drums and they are so far my favorite instrument.
I like playing older video games more than new ones.
I'm red green colorblind which makes red and green look similar to me.
I want to be a chef and have been cooking since i was six.
If I don't become a chef I would like to become an astronomer and study Earth-like planets. (I decided not to keep the pet fact)
5. "And by extension, once you have enough experience, please be willing to assist new Novice players, or younger players, in acquainting them to the server, their rights, and their responsibilities." Helping others makes me feel happy that I did something for someone else. I'm sure it makes them feel good too.
6. And finally, the server's official currency is cheese. (One of my favorite foods!)
Again, sorry for the inconvenience, and have a good day
Please explain why you would like to join the Server.
This is a very intressting server with mods and things like this, specially the gulliver mod! i love modded servers.
Please explain how your talents, skills, experience, personality traits, and aspirations can help contribute positively to our server.
Well, i'm a house designer and i do alot of redstone. I have some fair skills with fighting but i'm not that great.
Please list five random facts about yourself that can help differentiate you from other players.
I help people who needs help.
I'm friendly all the time, which is positive.
I build quicker than most.
I'm a great surviver. (atleast thats what i think)
I like stargate atlantis, i absolutely love stargate atlantis.. like literally fan girling atlantis
.And finally, to confirm that you read the Big Sister Server Quick Guide please write down the name of the official server currency:
Cheese!
Hello there! I'm Flamm, and I'll be reviewing your application! Oh dear... Well, although it looks nice, your application needs a bit more work... or should I say, a lot of work? Seriously, it's way too short to be acceptable. I'll go through it anyway, but to be accepted, it'll need to be longer.
Q #1: Name is free of profanity/inuendos, so you're good.
Q #2: Lots of people like modded servers, but you should say what you like about them. Maybe explain how you came across the Gulliver mod, or even the server!
Q #3: If you're lucky, you won't be doing a lot of fighting. The giant mobs might get you, but you should be able to handle that with redstone traps, right?
Q #4: These are somewhat generic responses, except for the last one. You need to show us that you're different! Showing us that you're just another player keeps us reluctant to whitelist you, as we need diversity here.
Q #5: Looks good, looks good... oh, wait. You're missing this entire part! C'mon now, do you thing we'd overlook the personality check?
Q #6: Well, atleast you got this part correct. Have any clue on what the most expensive unit is?
Please, go over your answers and lengthen them. Slacking off on a whitelist suggests slacking off on a review, and that just can't happen. If you're serious about joining, you'll need to put in a bit more effort.

Thank you.

When you're ready, please write a good application.
Like I said, there's no fault for trying. Thank you for your interest.

4.
or younger players, in acquainting them to the server, their rights, and their responsibilities." Helping others makes me feel happy that I did something for someone else. I'm sure it makes them feel good too.
6. And finally, the server's official currency is cheese. (One of my favorite foods!)
Again, sorry for the inconvenience, and have a good day
Hello there!
