Just to briefly introduce us, OldschoolMC is meant to bring back the old vanilla survival feeling from years past without all the new bells and whistles you find in current servers. This place is ran by an adult for people that will appreciate having a place to roam free, not be tied to petty rules or mechanics, and just play minecraft the way it was meant to be played: with other people! No BS-No Bloat, is our motto, as we pride ourselves in being a simple but trusty little server you can always fall back to and relax.
Please review our features below to make sure we suit your play style:
There are NO teleports or commands to shoot lightning out of your **** or anything, its pretty much purist vanilla.
To add some difficulty and eliminate the need for a non-vanilla protected spawn point, on first login or any time you die you will spawn at a random location until you set up a bed. You can spawn within 7.5k x 7.5k blocks of 0,0 but map is 15k x 15k big.
PVP is disabled and stealing or griefing are not allowed. All block changes or chest access is logged.
Block damage from any kind of explosion is disabled to prevent the map from turning into a crater. Explosions still damage players.
This is not pay-to-win nor will it ever be. This dedicated server is fully paid for in increments of 6 months, as it is part of my testing environment as a full-time system admin for my day job.
We have teamspeak3! If you want a private channel for yourself or your group just ask, you dont even have to play here. Check www.publicts.com for more info.
Simple Rules:
No cheating, hacking, flying, etc. Anti-xray and anti-cheat are enabled. Instant ban!
No excessively obscene or disrespectful language.
No whining, complaining, or asking for mod.
No stealing or griefing. All actions are logged.

Looking for a small community whitelist server where everyone is friendly and nice. Basically Mindcrack but slightly less awesome. Why did you leave your previous server?
Constant downtime and huge staff issues. Also they reset the map so it was a good time to move on. What will you bring to this community?

You"re small enough to be friendly. What do you bring to this server? Friendliness and small help whenever needed. I like to help build stuff.

Why I would like to join: I would like to join your server because single player has been getting a little boring lately and I would like to be a part of a small and friendly community.
What I would bring to this server: I am a capable builder, farmer and miner, I think I would easily get along with everyone on the server and I could probably even make some community farms or something along those lines. I also consider myself a pretty good film editor and could even make server trailer or something, if you wanted.
