This is a 100% vanilla survival Minecraft server. There are no mods or admins flying around using creative mode. It's just a small community of dedicated Minecraft players that enjoy playing the game together. The server has been running for almost two years now. The current map has been around for about four or five months. When 1.7 comes out we will be resetting the server map but we encourage people to join now so that we can have a good group that will stick around when we start the new map. Plus, that is still a ways off and there is plenty of time to have fun on the current one.
Skype is a must as we are always communicating through that as a group chat. It is also where all server related announcements will be posted such as letting people know of a planned event, an unplanned game night, or server maintenance(which is very rare).
The members of this server are all very knowledgeable and experienced Minecraft. If you do not know who dinnerbone is or how to make a simple mob elevator you will probably not fit in too well at first, not that we aren't willing to help and teach people more advanced things.
We also commonly do group events such as UHC, skywars, sky battle, CTMs, race for the wool, etc. One of the main reasons that we are currently recruiting is so that there are always more fun and interesting people online to play with.

How much time per/day are you online?: Since I am quite busy on weekdays, I can only be online for about 30 minutes to 1 hour. However, on weekends, I can on much more often, up to 3 hours.
What are your favorite things to do in Minecraft: I love building, wether it's in creative or survival. Designing a base to suit my needs, building redstone machines to automate almost everything, I adore it.
Do you enjoy minigame/events (uhc, etc): Yes, I find mini-games really fun. I have played some on those big hub mini-game servers, however I would find it much better to play it with a small community. Playing on those huge servers with over 5000 players makes it hard to get to know people, and the community there isn't always the best. How would you go about making a wheat farm: First, I would make a simple wheat farm, just enough to fill up my hunger. Later on, once I have the appropriate resources, I will make an automatic farm with redstone and water. Tell us a little about yourself: I game in my free time, mostly playing Minecraft. How much time per day are you online? Unfortunately, I have way too much time. This leads me to building huge projects in Minecraft, or wasting my time playing other games. As such, I'll be on a lot. If I'm working on a project with others, it tends to mean I'll be online a lot more.
Favorite things in Minecraft: My tendencies in Minecraft are mainly about large scale, community projects. My own homes tend to be small in scale usually. I'm usually a pretty good builder. I'm fairly capable with redstone, and enjoy automating systems.
Events: As I've already said, I enjoy community builds and events. It'd be nice to do some events regularly.
Wheat Farm: Depends on the kind of wheat farm you want. I generally tend to build automated farms in the 9x9 fashion using dispensers. I also know how to build them length wise using pistons/dispensers. It really depends on the restrictions of my surroundings. I don't use wheat enough to have huge farms, but my farms are definitely enough to sustain whatever I'm doing.
About me: I'm a college student majoring in Computational Mathematics. I plan to switch to either Software Engineering or Computer Science, as I've come to enjoy programming quite a bit. How would you go about making a wheat farm: I would make a long line of 3 wide and 64 long (So each row was a bread, and each line was a stack) staircase style with a water drop at the beginning, with water hidden underneath. I would then have a stupidly imperfect wiring spending way to much time hiding said wires, that makes it a pain to expand. Then I would use it a few times, get bored of replanting, and go make an autosmelter to cook the meat from the farm I was making on the side. Bread is so bland. I have played on numerous servers for their full lifespan many times over, and when I see people from the community again it always is a great time.
