Just had a jailed player that lied about his griefing. Claimed he glitched into an iron house and had to break his way out.
Pulled up the logs and it showed him adding a button to bypass an iron door then breaking blocks to get back out. Would never admit to that. The logs see all.

I wouldn't recommend this server to anyone. I spawned with a pickaxe and a sword but lost both whenever I spawned IN LAVA as soon as I entered the server. That's pointless. Then they get ticked-off when you don't have a pickaxe, and order you around like a half-daft pup on a short leash. Friendly staff, indeed. Also, if I wanted to be ordered around like some slave, I would be on my usual server with my master, not on some two-bit boring prison server, spending two hours mining just so I can play. Don't let anyone fool you, this is a PRISON server. You spend at least 2 hours digging up cobble just so you can die out in the wilderness with no supplies. Your staff needs to learn how to treat people. Again, I felt less like a slave on my sub/dom server than on this server. Next time, I'll just bring my master along with me.
You spawn in lava to dump diamond tools. You mine 2k worth of cobble stone then you get out. The whole idea is to expose griefers. It has worked wonderfully since the server started. There are an average of 15-25 on at any time. I love this server and welcome good players.
This is by far the weirdest complaint I have ever seen. A guy who plays on a sexual dominace server complaining that he got bossed around on another server, Irony... how does it work. No offense but I just think you aren't our typical demographic. This server isn't a perfect fit for everyone I think I have made that clear.
If you are a normal and mature person then you will love this server.
A "Normal and mature person" wouldn't play on a server that begs for players and displays the information that this is not a prison server when it obviously is. Also, to burst your bubble of digression to the topic of sub/dom server players not being your demographic -When you're basically begging for new members, you have no demographic. You're just a server with people who fly around giving orders to new players, who have to work for their freedom -again exactly like a prison server. And I was thusly comparing your server to a sub/dom server. You start off with no freedom, being bossed around by people higher in the food-chain that you, and you have to do what they say or you get put in "solitary confinement" until you've learned your lesson. Sounds like a prime example of a sub/dom server to me.
Ive been playin on this server for awhile now and it is honestly the best server i've ever played on. The staff and players are awesome and there is so much to do. You move up through the ranks and build the best creations you can. There is a large player base constantly and new players come in everyday. There is room for all on this server! Just work through the ranks and obey the rules (there aren't many). And always remember that, "The information you seek is on the signs!"

I am not a mod on this server. I went through the vetting process. In other words, been there, done that. So here's how it goes:
1. Your first few hours on the server are spent in a closed-off environment. For kicks, the environment is a prison. But the point is not that it's a prison, the point is that it's closed off from the rest of the server. That way, griefers are weeded out in a safe environment.
2. Pretty much all of the people who play on this server are friendly and helpful. This is especially true of the mods. They don't jail anyone unless that person has done something to break the rules, which can basically be summed up in "Don't break or take it if it's not yours" and "Play nice". If you break something or steal, they will try to find out why you did it. If you lie or are belligerent, that is what gets you into real trouble.
3. This is a survival server. So once you show you're a player not a bot or griefer in prison (which can be done in as little as 30 minutes, by the way), you get sent to an island to survive, the second and final step in the vetting process. "Die in the wilderness with no supplies"? Really? You're allowed to take the stuff you've gathered from prison! You're placed on an island that is rich in natural resources! There's a tree-assist plugin! It's the ideal survival environment, and all you're asked to do at this point is spend a few days building something cool and surviving. After that, you're promoted to full member and you get to join the rest of the world.
So let me tell you my experience, which from what I've seen is the rule rather than the exception. If someone debating whether to try the server out, hopefully this will help.
I logged in, died in lava (big deal, not like I had anything yet anyway), read the signs. Then I walked around the prison to see what was up, where stuff was. I didn't break any blocks or try to get out (seems like a no brainer but tons of prisoners do this "just to see if they can"). I made myself tools and got to mining. There were a couple things I couldn't figure out even after exploring (things that seem obvious in hindsight), so I asked for help and was told what to do. I worked quietly, not disturbing the other prisoners and not badgering the mods with constant questions or demands. I built my house when I was about halfway done with my mining quota and spent some time and effort building it. Then once I had the required balance, I went and broke down my house and said that I was ready to go. Well, that was dumb because the mods need to check to make sure you have a house. Whoops. So I quickly put together a wooden box, because that's really all it needs to be anyway, and got out of prison. No issues, no jail time, no problems. New Island was fun for me. I almost exclusively played single player survival up to that point, so the island was like that but way better. I mostly kept to myself and worked on the task at hand. I built my house, accumulated goods, was on the island for about 2 or 3 days, and then I was promoted to a full member.
Now I've been playing for some time. I have not once been griefed or stolen from. There are fun things to do beyond building and mining on your own, like contests, minigames, etc. So if you're a loner, you can do your own thing, and if you like playing in groups, you can do that, too. I could not be happier with the server, and if I were asked to go through the vetting process again to continue playing, I would without hesitation.
Everyone has his own way of judging servers. Most people are well known with these servers and do know how everything works.
Let me tell you guys how i experienced the server so far:
I've been asked many times by a friend of mine to try out this server and I thought, okay why not?
So when I joined for the first time, I did not even notice that i just died because of lava =p.
Just to make it a bit more fun, i brought another friend with me and we were kinda having fun around the "prison".
This was really fun and I really enjoyed it!
After a couple days, I joined up again and met Jagged. He told me to start building a house so i started building a little humble house.
It took me a while to think about a cool concept for my "House",but I was pretty satisfied with the result and Jagged moved me to "New Island" so i could start with the real survival.
After a few days building a bridge and lovely little home, Jagged promoted me to Builder!
Now I am a Deputy and trying to help as many new players as possible just to help them out of the "trial" and let them start as a "New" player (of course following the rules and the requirements for a prisoner to leave the restricted area).
This is a server with a great community, simple and easy rules to follow and of course, enough plugins to make this server more fun!
Great Server!! Ive only been on a couple of days and I already like it! The people are super friendly and helpful.. It doesn't take long at all to get out of "Prison" and then noob island is a great place to get you started and to met other players. I would recommend you give this sever a try :)!!
