Substantial progress has been made on the cathedral! Most of the exterior is done, as there is now a roof over 99% of the project. The dome still needs to be finished as well as the interior, but it has come a long way in the past few days. Yay!

I think I have a bug to report. I was mining coal and it says I was camping a mob spawner. I assume this is to avoid AFKers. This may not help but I just thought I'd let you know as this can be used to find mob spawners(possibly).
If someone could help I could send a screenshot otherwise I'll just leave it here.
Also is there some place I could read up how towny works? It's all a bit confusing.
The important thing is not how long you live... It's what you accomplish with your life. While I live, I want to shine. I want to prove that I exist. If I could do something really important... That would definitely carry on into the future. My spirit will always live on. And so if I were to disappear... I think that all I have accomplished will go on. That would mean that it's living. Right?- Grovyle

It's a known issue, but hasn't been a big enough problem for the powers that be to address it. Even if the message does give away the approximate locations of spawners, I have yet to see it be exploited here. There are plenty of discovered spawners that are available to use without even having to go hunt and develop a new one.
As for Towny, if you Google Towny there is a wiki especially for Towny commands. Not trying to shrug you off, but it is just easier if you open up the Towny wiki and have it ready for use by minimizing Minecraft and finding the command you want to use. You'll quickly memorize the commands you use often enough.

It's not a bug. SwornRPG has it in place so that people will not just stand at spawners to get Sworn XP to level up. It's the plugin's way of making you work for it, just like mcmmo made you level to 1000 in mining before you got 100% double drops on every ore and stuff.
You're welcome to join St. Chien, Steve. Titan_Prime showed himself/herself to be a snarky, disrespectful brat, in the couple of minutes I chatted with them.
I still don't really see the point in towny if all that it is is grief protection. I studied up a bit, outposts, towns, Nations,To be honest there aren't many people active who are griefers and most people come to this server because of the lack of griefers.
DirtDog says he likes to not have to worry about monsters sneaking up on him but because of creepers not destroying blocks I guess I don't care. I guess the only reason I might want to is if I get a bunch of villagers. Even then I would lose my pet chicken jockey(If he's still alive). It just seems like another thing to worry about in case of low funds. I guess I just prefer the barter system.
Eventually I guess I might become an outpost if thats ok with you but for now I need to just gather up the basics. Thank for the offer.
P.S. Can I have a cow farm? I know servers sometimes don't allow that to regulate lag.

Monsters sneaking up on me is a little more than creepers blowing holes in things. It's working on a tall, precarious project and not having a skeleton snipe me off the ledge causing me to fall to my death - or in the least detrimental case, cause me to have to work my way all the way back up to where I was working. It's not having to stop working every 30 to 45 seconds to whack a zombie that keeps gnawing on the back of my head. It's not having to constantly defend citizens of St. Chien because they forget to lock their doors or decide to run outside because they forgot their croquet set in the front yard. It's being able to stand in town for a little rest without getting swarmed by a daytime herd of creepers.
Towny has also been extremely helpful in combating griefers and the lesser types of unsavory folks. While it is true we have rarely had to deal with destructive players on this server, it only takes one to cause a huge headache. Thankfully I've only had to deal with a small number of those types who set their sights on St. Chien, and due to Towny the impact was mitigated significantly. It's prevented one person from killing all the villagers, and leveling a nearby hill simply because he deemed St. Chien boring and in his own words, " looks like a WWII ghetto and needs to be burned to be started over". Towny has prevented quite a few other folks who freshly logged in threatening and attempting to lava bucket villages and structures.
Furthermore, the treasury of St. Chien is currently quite flush with funds so the taxes levied on citizens it set on 0. The treasury is rather healthy with simple donations from active citizens and benefits everyone - they can take a break from Minecraft and not worry that their wallets will continue to have to pay taxes while they on hiatus and chance getting kicked from the town by the system for lack of funds. St. Chien is currently operating within its budget with just donations from generous citizens.
Cow, and any other types are farms, are fine as long as you're not encroaching on a neighbor and cause him/her significant lag or headaches.
Looking forward to running into you on the server and getting the dime tour of your place.
Yeah, the barter system is the best usually. We used to have an auction plugin, which was great fun, cause we'd jack up the price by making crazy bids. Any kind of animal farm is fine I think, as long as you're not having hundreds and hundreds of anything.
Who said that St. Chien looked like a WWII ghetto, Dirt? I must've missed that or else forgotten. Anyway, dumping lava on things is ineffective as fire spread is off.

Don't remember the name, just that he/she leveled off the entire top of the hill overlooking the town where the highway enters on the north side and then hollowed out a nearby hill to began building. When I asked them to move out further from the town, that is when I got the " I'm going to make this town better, it needs more variety, and no offense but it looks like a WWII ghetto". I was unaware that once you utter the phrase No offense, you are then free to say whatever you please and the receiving party cannot get offended. I filed that one away for future use.
But back to the story, I really didn't/don't care what St. Chien looks like to others' eyes; I made it exactly how I thought it should be. I welcome citizens to put their spin and interpretation on the town proper and their housing once I have seen they are conscientious builders and I don't have to worry that they are going to level the town to build it in their image.
As to lava bucketing - yes, fire spread is off, but in this case it's like asking if you'd rather drown in a lake or drown in a septic tank... You're still going to drown. There is still going to be lava pouring down the mountainsides, burning villagers and animals just the same. I'm just glad St. Chien hasn't had to deal with that too much yet.
Fair enough. I guess I was just being a bit thick-headed at the time. I've decided that It'd be nice to become an outpost and I'll be willing to pay all the fees. Although maybe I should tell Capt'n red.

Yeah, "no offense" and "sorry but..." are probably phrases we should stop using, because really they are just for the sake of appeasement and usually come out sounding sarcastic or snarky.
Sounds good on you being an outpost, Steve. Dirt can set that up, I'm just the town assistant and don't have permissions for those commands I don't think.
Well my graphics card is dying pretty quickly I think. It started on Sky Factory 2 this afternoon, the game was flickering like crazy and then The Crack Pack was doing the same and on Shadowlands and Portal 2 and now in Safari. So it's gonna be farewell for awhile, until I can afford a new computer, whenever that will be. Have fun everyone and I'll see ya when I see ya.
Where do computer go when they die? Is the a computer heaven for good computers and a computer hell for bad one? If so, what differentiates a good computer from a bad? Were all computers that came with Windows Vista doomed to computer hell, or was there a chance for redemption?

The world may never know. I think most computers just go to a recycling realm. Can't speak to Windows as I have an iMac. I could get the GPU replaced probably, but I think most places would say it isn't worth the money for a 4 year old machine.
Join House Fotis and live with us at the Magnum Silvas town! Waiting for you to come online people! Just ask me to join in-game (ign: GiannisF_77)
Wouldn't you rather live in Ghetto Town (formerly wild2), with Trooper? And I think Enderbrine still has a house there too. I really should finish filling my island with red sand, so I can finish the upper floor interior. But I'm currently farming my way to technology on Sky Factory.
My graphics card is really spazzing out again and I don't think there can be that much dust in the computer again already, so I doubt vacuuming out the vents again is going to do much, if anything. So back to no more games on here for the remainder of whatever life it has left in it. See ya, Minecraft cowboys and farewell for now.
