Im starting up a local server that will be used to play Feed the Beast. This server will be hosted off of my computer until i get the funds to setup a paid server. this server is going to be home to atleast 5-10 players for now until i can upgrade. the server will have 5 GB of ram dedicated to it so it should'nt lag.
What is Feed the Beast or FTB
Feed the beast is a modpack for minecraft that adds alot of items, recipes and other improvements to the game. The server is currently running on the direwolf20 version.
How do i get FTB
Here is a link to download the .exe Save it to your desktop then run it. It will ask you where to install it choose your folder than log in. Inorder to play you need to have the direwolf20 modpack activated from the ModPacks section in the launcher.
Well for now its a whitlist server. If you want to join PM me your Username and i will message you back the IP when you have been let on the server. It would be appreciated if you had skype so we can all talk.

I would play on this server, but I need some more info about the host. RAM doesn't matter too much if you're not running mystcraft ages. What's important is your internet upload(very important)/download(not so important) speeds. To check, go to speedtest.net and run a test. Also, if you don't mind, give me some info about your pc's processor.Nobody likes laggy servers, and if your upload/download speed is not good enough, people from distant countries would experience so much server lag that it wont be playable.
