In your words,what does rule #5 mean and will you follow it?: Rule #5 means that we can't make ourselves ages. (Don't remember which mod pack) But we can make linking books. I'll follow it because I was never interested in making my own age anyway.

What can you contribute to the server?:I am a mature player. I pride myself on always being calm and friendly. I am a fast learner, and I will always follow the rules. I've been playing Minecraft for two years now, and I will always be very active. In your words,what does rule #5 mean and will you follow it?: As stated before, I do not have very much experience in FTB, but I am guessing that rule five is pertaining to using the Mystcraft mod to make yourself a perfect little private world so that you can stray away from the community. I will follow the rules. The whole reason that this server appeals to me is that I can build as part of a community rather than running off by myself and creating insignificant factories that I can't even show anyone without fear of grief. I can assure you that I will follow the rules, and I, myself, will probably stay away from mystcraft in most cases.

In your words,what does rule #5 mean and will you follow it?: I'm not entirely sure what you mean but by skimming the first page I hear it's something about MystCraft? I've never tried to use it but I know you can make a second dimension or something, and on that note you can't use that dimension for your home as it would mean you would be out of reach of every other player when at your house.
First played the Retro SSP map a while back (Say... About 6 months-a year ago i believe). Loved how the combination of mods worked together so I dicided to run a small private server for me and some friends. Been experimenting with the mods ever since, Love Thaumcraft 3, IC2, Buildcraft, and Forestry (On occasion, I can honestly get better results from TC3 Golems)
What can you contribute to the server?: Fairly decent knowledge of both core MC mechanics and the modded mechanics. Personal experience in TC3, IC2 & Buildcraft, But always learning with every new version. That, And I have extensive experience in being a server admin/owner, So I can help with bugs and whatnot if they happen to arise.
In your words,what does rule #5 mean and will you follow it?: Rule 5 simply states to not create a new world to live in it, That new worlds are to be made stricktly for mining (Most likely due to the fact that ore eventually starts becoming scarce within 500 blocks of each players homes, and making new worlds is simpler and can be managed if used responsibly.) And of course I will follow the rule. No sense in filling out a whitelist app like this just to get myself banned over something like that.

Heyo everyone! So since the server is currently down and my internet is gonna be buggy til after Christmas it seems, I figured what might work for now (if anything to keep my mind occupied over the holidays when I wont be able to play as much) would be to ask for everyone's thoughts and opinions on the shared machine room I was gonna start laying the groundwork for after I get settled. I am interested in having it being something of a starting area, where people that are new on the server, or if you're not wanting to walk back to your home base, can stop in and process all your materials in the necessary machines. Plus it would more or less add a central area for the server so everyone can show off all their latest creations. However I wont start working on this till I get everyone's one hundred percent okay with it. =) When everyone gets a chance to pick out an ideal spot for it, throw down a sign there, when everyone agrees on one spot construction can begin! =) Thank you all for reading this and most importantly for putting up with me thus far. I look forward to hearing all your responses (good and bad!) and if anyone is welcome to tell me to keep quiet at anytime as well! =)
I like the idea of a common area/spawn hub. Perhaps we could have a crystal portal to a common mining age as well. Once people get themselves settled in their own area we could link a nether hub to the spawn hub and have everyone make their own rails to/from there. I suggest waiting to build all of this till we get the new map though. A few of us and MvK were talking about how he'll need to generate a brand new map after christmas because a few new mods will be added and we'll need new terrain for their ores as well as a couple other reasons I don't recall. I'd love to help build/design whatever we all decide on.
Of course! I have to agree I'm anticipating the release of redpower in the construction, and I wont be able to get much done til after the holidays in the way of getting myself settled. So until we get the new map we should just focus on the desired type of architecture and what all to incorporate in the hub. As for the architecture I mean do we want to design something pleasing to the eye and/or have all the different mod machines located in different floors/levels/whatever or just all in one central building? I'm sorry if this doesn't make sense all that much. I hope you get my idea.. =) And I have to say the idea of a central crystal port and nether port would be awesome as well =).
Edit: So not sure who knows or not but it appears Redpower PR6 just released today for 1.4.6... I know what I'm doing til my internets fixed. =)
