WhiffleCraft is a Bukkit server . . . there is no 1.8.1.
Vanilla Minecraft loader lets you play whatever version you want. Make a "Profile" that is 1.7.5 and use it to play whifflecraft (I call mine "WhiffleCraft") :-)
I added you to the Whitelist. Welcome, Play nice and we can all have fun...

UNIX is User Friendly,
It is just selective about who its friends are.
Funny story: once I was mining for diamonds, I hit a vein of water, and it pushed me back into a pit of lava, I was stuck in between the lava and the water for about three minutes before I was forced to die and go make dinner.
PS: wasn't funny at the time, I had a full inventory of iron gold, redstone, and a few diamonds(15) to be exact.
Whiffle, have you considered Spigot? It's compatible with Bukkit plugins, and apparently it's more efficient and, most importantly, up-to-date with 1.8.

Also, Vlevo, I need company.
Spigot's BuildTool compiles both Spigot and CraftBukkit builds since Spigot is basically CraftBukkit with some extra modifications. So you can use either one for 1.8 and they intend to continue updating both versions to my knowledge. Also many of the major plugins are updated for 1.8 but some are only publishing future changes on the Spigot site (in the Resources section) since Bukkit is "officially" dead.

Sorry, I was on the server and lonely and I wanted someone else on with me.
One of the things we have to be careful about with 1.8 is name changes... I don't know how Bukkit/Spigot handles them, but it could be a problem with the LogBlock database and other plugins.

Every account has a UUID (a long bunch of hexadecimal) assigned to it. Bukkit and Spigot as well as any plugins that have been updated properly will get the UUID of a user and utilize that for things so even if a name changes a query to the authentication server will still return the same UUID. The names you see displayed and use for commands are basically aliases now.

The problem I foresee is someone changing their name to a name someone else previously had.
The UUID will still remain as a way to identify the actual account behind the name. You can also look up the name change history with something like this: http://www.lb-stuff.com/Minecraft-Name-History

FYI - I now have a shop open on the second floor of the End Mart in the back. I have some pretty good enchanted items in addition to some general goods. I will continue to add more enchanted items so check back soon.
I changed my name to PrincessNyala, used to be SwiftN3S. Could you please whitelist me again? c:
Also, my friend ISI_Swift changed her name to AngelMarie_, if you could whitelist her again that would be awesome! ^-^
Will we log back in in the same place we left and will we have our inventory? Our base is kinda near Fifth Spawn, I hope we'll be able to get back there.
Thanks! ^-^/

I whitelisted both accounts. You'll have to put your old inventory into a chest and reclaim it that way. Nice to see some folks are still playing on here.
