*The plague has killed many inhabitants of the Empire, it has dirtied the water, killed the crops, and the Necromancers continue to press towards its heart, New Cherzia. It truly is, the beginning of the end.*
The next few weeks on Silver Age will bring many, many changes. A global server event, titled The Beginning of the End, begins today, marked by the spread of the plague that has already infected the Emperor, rendering him incapable of leaving his bed. Over the course of the next week or so, there will be a series of events, and the war between the Empire and the Necromancers will be in full swing. If you are looking for a time to kill your character, Now is the perfect time.
Again, many changes will be made to the server following these series of events: some of them big, none of them small. Stay tuned.
An event at Ionia will take place either tomorrow or Monday. I will discuss it with the rest of the staff, and give a definite date for the event as soon as possible.

Pre-History
Many, many thousands of years ago, there was nothing but magical essence floating within the Deep. Whenever one essence collided with another, a new object was formed, but these objects were small and useless. There was one being: Xaeos. He watched this happen for Eons, in pain. He was not the god who created the essences and so he could not touch them. Just wait for them to collide. One day, by chance, the essence of nature collided with the essence of life and born from it, were the Lymerians. They were mystical creatures who were slightly humanoid, but also spirit-like too. They were the first creations, but did not have a place to call home, or a place that they could root themselves to, and so Xaeos created the first land, and planted a sapling upon the ground and then said, “Protect this sapling with your life, for your life shall depend upon this sapling.” The Lymerians never left the sapling, and over time, more essences collided to form creatures, such as Humans and Rinese. The Lymerians developed tools and weapons to help defend the sapling from attacks from other creatures. For the next three thousand years, this is what happened, with each race advancing their technology and forming tribes, constantly battling each other. Over these thousands of years, the tree grew until it was miles tall and it’s roots extended down into the nether. The second oldest race, the Stonefaces, or “Rinese” in the Lymerias language, lived around the mountains. They were vaguely humanoid, but had grey, clay-colored faces and their skin had a rock-like hardness to it. They made great miners and blacksmiths. The two races lived in solitude for the entire Growth Age, or the first three thousand years of the of Agazatra.
2123 B.C - 0 A.C:
The first 2123 years of recorded time was called the Advancement Age. It was the age in which the Rinese and the Lymerians first made contact as the world’s most advanced races, as well as when the Yarlak race and the Carmakan race entered Agazatra. In 2123 B.C (B.C = Before Conquer), the Lymerians began to record time based on the movement of the sun and the planets in the Deep. hundreds of years later, the Rinese came into contact with the Lymerians. They both impressed each other with their various creations: The Rinese catapult and the Islari magic. The Rinese and Lymerian sremained allies until the Yarlaks entered northern Agazatra. The Yarlaks were a humanoid race with large beards and who preferred battle-axes and maces to the common Rinese sword. The Yarlaks were a more or less nomadic race who used brute force and fire to pillage and destroy various scattered towns. Soon, they had carved out a spot for themselves in Agazatra, and they, the Lymerians, and the Rinese were the only ones left. In about 200 B.C, the last race to enter Agazatra, the Cherzian people, arrived in the central plains from across the Great Sea. They were the only out of the four present races who had mastered the art of Sea Travel. They also did not hunt for their food, they used advanced Agriculture, unlike the cooking skills of the Rinese, the hunting skills of the Yarlaks, and the harvesting of fruit from trees that the Lymerians practiced. They tried to communicate with the Lymerians and learn their magical ways. They explained how they came from the deserts of the far west, and used sandstone from the beach to build a new city on the coast, called Cherzia. Over time, the Islari and the Cherzians became allies. When the Cherzians began conquest of Agazatra in 40 B.C, they promised the Islari that they would protect the Tree of Life, and in return, the Islari taught them magic and willingly let them extend their borders around their land. The Cherzian Empire had been born.
Conquest (40 B.C- 0 A.C)
The Empire knew that it’s biggest enemy were the Rinese. They were quick and intelligent warriors, and had skin made of some type of thin stone - a sword would not do as much to them as they would a different race. Because of this, they decided to conquer the Yarlak first. They did not have to however, because the Yarlak were already enemies of the Rinese. They willingly joined the empire, and fought against the Rinese. From 36 B.C - 3 B.C, the two empires were locked in a state of stalemate, until the Rinese led a sneak attack on Cherzia . They blew the walls up with a material known as TnT. They had just invented it and tested it on Cherzia. They razed the city, and nearly destroyed the heart of the Empire, but then they retreated. One year later, Cherzia was being rebuilt and the Emperor had ceased attacks of the Rinese empire for the time being. He requested a talk with the leader of the Rinese, and asked him why he had stopped attacking Cherzia. The leader of Rina responded, saying that he only wanted to do as much damage to the Cherzians as the Cherzians had done to them. After that, realizing that fighting for this long was pointless because neither of them would win, the Rinese joined the empire because it was in their best interest to bond with the rest of Agazatra and defend themselves from threats elsewhere. The Cherzian Empire became officially complete in 0 A.C, and has been peacefully thriving for seventy years. Each race but the Islari have their own city and the Islari live in the College of Cil’Adil, or near the Tree of Life itself.
Recently: 0 A.C. - 70 A.C. (Will be constantly updated. These are recent happenings on the server)
January, 70 A.C: The age beginning at the end of the conquering has been called the Silver Age. The Emperor is Emperor Eliri Romanus IV. The empire is in a peaceful state. Emperor Eliri has passed a number of acts to prevent citizens from making new cities or factions within the empire, but allows the creation of small guilds. As time goes on, there have been reports of necromancers raising portals to an alternate dimension. Meanwhile, the gods have stopped communicating with mortals. The Emperor's current goal is to put a stop to this, but as chaotic as things get, the daily life of the citizens goes on.
February, 70 A.C: There have been several sightings of corruption throughout the empire. This has caused a worldwide fright as researchers try to find a way to fight it back. New Cherzia has begun to slowly turn into a corrupted city, and citizens are subject to random attacks by monsters and necromancers.
March, 70 A.C: The Emperor, after running tests, discovers that lapis lazuli is the way to fight corruption, and begins to cleanse parts of the Empire that have been corrupted. Over the course of the month, the Empire is converted back to it's original clean state, but on the last day of the month, the corruption makes a rebound and hits even harder than before.
April, 70 A.C: The Empire is preparing for war against the Necromancers, and after a particularly brutal attack, leaving New Cherzia in near ruins, the Emperor, Lord Aero Bohr, and Lord Throren lead an attack on the forming Nether Portal near Borikheim. The attack goes well until the armies are overrun, but Val'um and his children come to the rescue and help attack the portal. The battle is nearly won, but Kzalm the demon returns and kills the Emperor, taking his soul into the nether and turning his body into a tree. The portal opens. Ophelia is the overseer of the Empire. Monsters now appear in the overworld every night.
May, 70 A.C.: With their minions now free, necromancers have erected a base in the nether to call their home. Two iconic necromancers, Xarathion and Lord Kendov control that fortress. A man named Imrik appears in New Cherzia one day. He works with the necromancers and attacks Borikheim. Some people, such as Harlorn, Lodenne, Julius and Deidre rush to Borikheim's defense, but they are defeated easily. Deidre saves Harlorn and Lodenne's lives and on their way back, Lodenne is captured. Harlorn sneaks into Borikheim and talks with Imrik, the conversation ending in an agreement to kill both Xarathion and Kendov. There is a long battle, and in the end, Kendov is stopped by Harlorn with an arrow to the neck, and killed by Imrik's sword. Xarathion escaped only to be nearly killed by Imrik, and being forced to give up his war and become neutral.
June, 70 A.C: Val'um has become evil and has abandoned the college. He has attacked the Knight's Hall multiple times. Meanwhile, Harlorn has resurrected Kendov on the condition that he helps the Knights and the Empire defeat the rest of the necromancers. Kendov is forced to help them, but Val'um attacks the knights hall once again. This time, the Knights were prepared, and aided by the New Cherzian military, they fought against Val'um's magic. Val'um, knowing that he could not win, released Kendov from his bondage before dying. The College was lit on fire and now the citizens are working on rebuilding it. Everybody is recovering from what has happened, and now, Dark Lord Kendov is at large once more.
August, 70 A.C: High Cleric Julius has brought the Emperor back to life, and the Emperor has begun to rebuild the Empire. A new militia is forming, and the war against the necromancers has begun. At the battle of Borikheim, Lord Throren died while killing a necromancer, but was then killed by Incidius. The city has fallen, causing the Empire to lose a large amount of land. Harlorn is leading the Hunters and armies south of the Empire against the necromancers in an attempt to stop them from advancing north and into the Empire, but they only have one fortress left. If fort Casweld falls, the Necromancers' southern armies will be able to push northward, trapping the Empire in between Kendov's armies and the minion hoarde.
September, 70 A.C: A plague sweeps through the Empire, killing thousands of people and even infecting the Emperor, rendering him unable to leave his bed. The Empire is losing the War in the South. Only time will tell if the dark times will go away.
October, 70 A.C: A cure for the plague has been found. Fort Casweld has fallen, and legions of necromancer armies march northwards towards New Cherzia. There has been a collosal battle at Ionia, at which many people died, but ultimately, the Ionians won. Their city was heavily ruined after the attack and Lord Aero Bohr seeks to repair it. New Cherzia has been struck by corruption again, and this time, the lapis is not strong enough to protect against it. Slowly, more and more of the city gets corrupted. Everybody knows that a battle is coming soon, and the Empire is preparing for it.

Races
The Cherzians:
The Cherzians are the bulk of the Empire, having created it. They invented farming and irrigation, bringing it from the deserts and having originally learned it from an ancient race called the Halegronians. They are known for being quick and agile warriors who prefer bows and shortswords to longswords and heavy armor.
Average Life Span: 92
The Yarlak
The Yarlak are warriors from the north, living in their city of Borikheim. They are very similar to the Cherzians, most likely coming from the same original tribe and splitting away from them. They are known to use heavier armor and warhammers or axes, and are also known to prefer blunt force to strategy. They are the polar opposites of the Lymerians.
Average Lifespan: 83
Rinese
The Rinese are an ancient race of stonemen from the southwest. In their archives, one can see that they used to live in the mountains of the southwest. The archives tell of a brother race known as the "Dwarren" or the "Dwerven". They are known for their distinctively grey skin, as well as their broad and tall stature. They live in the island city of Ionia.
Average Lifespan: 130
Lymerian
The Lymerians are the oldest race, living for up to 1010 years. They are known to have been part of a larger group of beings known as the Aelfwar, but they split up years ago, the Aelfwar migrating to the Southeast. They have skin tones ranging from green to grey, and usually have silvery grey hair from the moment they are born. They do not like to fight, but are territorial, and will only fight if needed.
Average lifespan 1110
Paths
The Path of the Warrior
The path of the warrior is a path for those who prefer to be in the thick of battle. A warrior can use up to iron armor and an iron sword, and have several skills such as charge. A warrior can choose one of three specializations at level 50:
The Paladin
The Paladin is a holy warrior who sacrifices heavy armor and the best weapons for a bit of healing knowledge. Paladins rely on mana as well to cast healing spells and other special attacks such as smite and bandage.
The Swordsman
The Swordsman is a master of melee damage who can use diamond swords and diamond axes, but not diamond armor. They have skills that contribute to their ability to cause more damage.
The Heavy
The Heavy warrior is the warrior who sacrifices the best melee damage for higher defenses, being the only ones who can wear diamond armor. They have skills like shield to help them be tanks. They are generally brave, willing to dive into battle so that enemies attack them and not their friends.
The Path of the Mage
The path of the mage is the path for those who want to master one of the three types of magic. They do not wear much armor, nor do they have the best defenses, but they certainly do excell in abilities. Once they reach level 50, they can choose a specialization:
The Arcanist
The Arcanist mage is a mage who uses spells such as blink, summonfood, phase and carpet to provide support to their allies. Although they do not excel in direct damage, a group should always bring an arcanist mage along for support if they are going on a perilous journey
The Elementalist
The Elementalist mage is a mage who focuses more on doing damage at the expense of not being able to wear any armor. They use spells such as fireball and icebolt to accomplish this. They are the most frail of magi, but also deal the most damage.
The Cleric
The Clerical mage are magi who specialize in healing. They are more effective than paladins, but cannot wear heavy armor, just up to chainmail. They can heal groups of people or only one person, but do not specialize in damage.
The Path of the Craftsman
Blacksmiths are miners and smiths who forge metals and create armor and weapons. They are the only people who can use pickaxes and create armor, and can be engineers as well.
The Blacksmith
The blacksmith is the man who mines the earth and creates weapons, tools, and armor with the minerals they mine. They are the class that supports the warrior class, and without them, the warrior class would be nothing.
The Engineer
Engineers are craftsmen who have taken the route of learning redstone engineering, being the only ones able to create redstone torches, redstone repeaters, and other redstone devices. They cannot create armor, but make up for it by being able to craft the most advanced technology the Empire knows.
The Path of the Woodsman
Woodsmen are archers and lumberjacks who prefer to use a bow to a sword. They can use up to leather armor, as well as up to a stone sword. They supply wood to the Empire, and can be architects as well.
The Axeman
Axemen are the only people who can use diamond axes. They are advanced lumberjacks, fighters, and builders, and can do a variety of things such as serve in the army, sell lumber, or be architects. They are able to use many warrior skills such as charge.
The Bladesman
The bladesman is a woodsman who has strayed from the path of the axeman and has begun to use knives and stealth tactics to defeat their opponent. Knowing skills such as backstab, they cannot wear much armor, but they can do a lot of damage. Focusing more on swords, they have lost the ability to wield advanced axes such as iron ones.
The Archer
The archer is a woodsman who uses the bow to fight. Wearing light armor, they can do a lot of damage from afar, but cannot fight at close range as well as other classes can. Focusing more on the bow, they have lost the ability to wield advanced axes such as iron.

What would happen if I were to change the server to a greylist instead of a whitelist? Anybody would be able to connect, and join channels so that they could see what was going on, but they would not actually be able to speak and build. This would help them see what kind of server this is, and then they could create a character to be able to get the full experience.

You are already whitelisted. This isn't a new server, we just updated.

Hey gamer. Sorry I haven't been online in a while. RL stuff. Seeing as Ethan the necromancer has been killed, I might as well make a new character.
Because I've already been accepted once, I will just fill out the IC part of the application.
IC Information
Character Name: Rilian Rorakoth
Character Path: The Path of the Mage
Character Race: Yarlak
Character Biography (Should be at least 250 words):
Rilian was born in the northern city of Borikheim to two middle class Yarlaks, Rosalyn and Mark Rorakoth. Mark was a semi-successful blacksmith, while Rosalyn was a tailor. In the past, the two parents had tried to have children, but Rilian was their only child that survived passed the age of three months. The rest were too premature or were stillborn. Because of this, the two were very protective of Rillian, and much to his annoyance, remained that way throughout his childhood. That being said, he was very relieved when he found out that he was old enough to journey to the south and join the College of Cil'Adil. After an emotional farewell with his parents, he set out on a long journey south, passing by Ectic town, New Cherzia, and the southern forests. After days of traveling, he reached the College of Cil'Adil. It was grander and more majestic than he ever could have imagined. What amazed him even more was the famed Val'um, master of magic. Too bad he could only experience it for three days. On the fourth day of his stay, he heard the news of Val'um's apparent corruption. The headmaster of the College had turned evil, and after two fires in the College, as well as Valum's death, he realized that the college was going to fall. At times, he considered leaving, but after the council was set up to replace Val'um, he regained hope that all might not be lost, and so he is there now, waiting for his chance to become a master of the arcane arts.

Man: H-Hello?
Rilian: Are you alright?
Man: *reaches his hand towards Rilian, revealing the deep cut in his side*
Rilian: *notices the mark on the man's hand and steps back* The Assassins guild did this to you!
Man: Yes... They- *notices that Rilian is already gone*
You walk into Borikheim and a guard comes to you, telling you that you have been accused of treason. You know that you are innocent. What is your reaction?

The Path of the Woodsman
Woodsmen are archers and lumberjacks who prefer to use a bow to a sword. They can use up to leather armor, as well as up to a stone sword. They supply wood to the Empire, and can be architects as well.
