This is zomorocks26, and I am making a Harry Potter RPG Server. I have configured 80-90% of the plugins that I want, which means that I will be publicizing the server within a week or two.
I will also be posting a trailer for the server on youtube!
This server will be dedicated - and as far as I know, the first dedicated Harry Potter server out there. I have a hoster in mind, its very reliable from what I've heard.
The plugins I am going to use are:

**Transporter (For the Floo Network)

**MagicSpells (Linked with citizens, to do Spell-Questing)

**And of course plugins like Essentials, permissions, and such.
EDIT: I figured that ^^ would mean WorldGuard and WorldEdit and other plugins, but sorry if I wasn't clear, I meant to add that all sorts of administrative plugins were included, I just didn't list them for security, and public reasons.
The plugins I am considering adding as well, if they work out alright with the RP are:

**MobDisguise (Like Transfiguration) EDIT: Most likely
**Quests (If I figure out how to configure it, because I want this server to be one of adventure, and magic) EDIT: Definitely. It's built into Citizens.

**Hogwarts (the spawn)
~~~~~I have downloaded a map of Hogwarts, and I am in the process of heavily editing it. I changed the exterior from cobble to smooth stone, and none of the interior was complete, so I am doing that as well
**Hogsmeade
~~~~~I am doing Hogsmeade from scratch, because the one that came with the map was a joke.
**Gringotts
~~~~~This will take a long time to make, and I will probably release the server first. It'll have Spell Quests, and once every so often, I'll spawn an enderdragon, and invite people to come and defeat it. Those who participate will be rewarded.
**Diagon Alley
~~~~~Diagon Alley may or may not be built. It depends on how much time I have, or how many people would actually appreciate it.
**The Ministry of Magic
~~~~~My original intentions of the Ministry was to house the floo's. If I do not have a chance to make this, I will simply reserve an area for floo's near the spawn.
**Forbidden Forest
~~~~~This will for sure get built, along with Hagrid's hut.

Well I have been a bit lonely playing single player minecraft and was quite tired of all of the random destruction on the public servers. So I decided to do some digging and try and find a fun server with a white list. Then I stumbled across this upcoming HP RPG and thought what a perfect fit it was for me!

hmmm... Not sure if this is included in the castle or not... But some secret passage ways and hidden rooms would be nice.
Another nice touch would be flying brooms. This might be a stretch but if you could source the code for the fly commands and attach them to a simple broom object then it seems like it would be possible. This may already be in the works, but it was a thought.
Another thought I had was about the Hogwarts lake. Ya know getting detailed with the under water side of things.. Giant squid stuff like that.

I don't know, I'm just throwing a bunch of ideas out there.

I beleive that something incorporated into minecraft, such as Harry Potter, and is done well, should be fun as well as nostalgic. I want to have fun, on any server that has anything to do with Harry Potter... Many servers, when I make HP jokes, they kick me, even if they have no profanity...

**Why do you want to join?: I'm an avid Harry Potter reader, I know the ins and outs of the entire world of Harry Potter and could aid greatly in helping the server. I would gladly help you create the world if you opened the server up to me
**Other, and suggestions for plugins, or builds?: You can test my knowledge if you must, but I know far far too much about Harry Potter because of my obsession with it as a kid. Now at nineteen, I still have all the memories and I'm still a fan =). I've also been a minecraft player since alpha and know the ins and outs of this game. I would be able to greatly aid you.
- Definitely need secret areas within and outside the castle.
- Add the Quidditch pitch and the grounds, including the bridges and the giant cliffs.
- Add many intricate redstone devices throughout the map to give the appearance of magic.
- Have a crew of admins constantly creating new Harry Potter areas that you can floo to and to help regulate/improve the world.
