That will happen if your home/tp is directly next to a wall. It's been that way since 1.6. /home has been removed as it was never meant to be perm for normal players anyway.

Added. According to physics, no. In order for "sound" to exist there has to be the producer (the fall) and someone/something (you) to receive it. If nobody is around, it makes no sound. :smile.gif:
