Apparently, I wasn't allowed to have a spider dungeon under my house for killing spiders as they spawned. I never knew this, and was only informed this morning, even though I had it for about a month and a half... I figured, with so many admins we had at that one party near it, they saw it and figured it was okay.
See? :tongue.gif: It was anyhow destroyed, and I was told to not do it again. So, I'm super sorry. If you were to ask Brainnuggets, (my friend, also a mod) who was at that party, he will likely say he thought it was allowed as well. He even used it with me on occasion!

Was it an Admin or an owner that told you that it is not allowed? This was indeed a rule, but now there is confusion amongst the Admins because the intent of the rule (to prevent cheating on the monster hunts) no longer applies. Now people are using spawners for enchanting levels and ingredients (like blaze rods in the nether). Do all spawners including blaze rod "farms" need to be destroyed? Everything but blaze rod farms destroyed? No spawners need be destroyed?

@ RW: To be honest I believe Uncanny has been down there before too (I'm 99% sure) and no doubt there had been more than one occasion that the spider room housed a random gathering of players of the higher ranks.
@ Everyone else: Ultimately, I knew mob grinders were not allowed but I did not know that legit-found mob spawners could not be used to gain experience by fighting the spiders directly (The spiders normally get the first hit anyway). (I understand the removal of them because of monster hunts however.... there are no monster hunts currently >_<)
Not to mention it takes 1250 (I think) spiders to reach level 50 .... That is a lot of spiders.

Sometimes it is best to look at it from a different perspective.

You're right, I saw UV down there before, too. I just didn't want to say I saw her without proof (as I don't have a picture)Which I find odd, and unfair, since I log on this morning, and am told I'm "in trouble". I was panicked at first, but then they mentioned my dungeon and I explained how it works. Then, an admin came in (I think it was Yumi, I don't remember :/) came in and started mining all the blocks around (and including) the spawner while typing in caps... "OH GOD NOOOO" And I didn't know it was that bad! :sad.gif: I mean, if the owner has seen it, I assumed it was okay to use.
I just wanted to try and take an opportunity to defend myself, as this does seem kind of unfair to me. At the very most, I'm defending myself from being possibly banned, from a rule I never knew existed, or at least, isn't mentioned in the /rules or the signs at spawn.
I was banned for absolutely no reason, by Cacatee. Here is our exact conversation.
Me: *Exploring unlocked house and chests*
Me: Hey Caca you might want to lock these chests.
Caca: Why should I?
Me: Because it could easily be griefed
Caca: We have many anti-griefing measures.
Me: Im pretty sure I could grief this whole house right now.
Caca: Lol I can ban you just for that sentence.
Me: Not a valid ban.
Next thing I know, "You have been banned. Reason: Stealing and being a ass"
Seriously? You need a mod check bro.
Is there Ban Appeal? I just got banned for a Flyhack and I have no fly hacks on!
If you got banned for fly hacks then that means you probably did have one and you were trying to use it. Normally when someone tries to use a fly hack, the server simply kicks them. I have lagged (on magic carpet) before and it thought I was using a fly hack and, as I have said before, it only kicked me. However, if you were not using them, then hopefully someone will look into it.

Hmm i am going to have to agree with you on this one. Mob Grinders are not allowed but a mob spawner found in a dungeon.and killing them by hand is ok by my understanding of the whole mob grinder rule. I have done that many times. So yeah i think you should get your spider spawner back :smile.gif:
Edit: Oh ok sorry but uv did say this is a no no so sorry man :/

Any reason for the sudden rule change? I know I've seen both UV and Neam down there, and many, many other staff members on multiple occassions, so I know this rule was never in effect before, and based on the available evidence, the rule must have just been implimented yesterday. This is actually pretty harmful, since blaze rods will now be impossible to obtain if the rule is to break spawners on sight, as blaze rods are both an ingredient in brewing stands, as well as a brewing ingrdient and a few other recepies. And to my knowledge, they aren't sold in shop, hence, it's my opinion things should go back to the way they were. :smile.gif:

They're sold in shop.
Just......incredibly expensive....30gp each I believe.
Also, just a quick question to anyone who can answer; people can buy donor status for others, right? :tongue.gif:
I accidentally poured lava off a mountain.....I cleaned it up, but it accidentally killed Noisysheep's wolf. What do I do?!
Please don't ban me.....it was an accident....
I don't suppose someone can spawn a wolf, place a chest with bones fence off the wolf, and leave a sign explaining what happened?

A final ruling from an owner would be great.
