Reason for joining: I want a server that can hold my attention for more than five seconds, and this seems like it.
What you do best in minecraft: Mine. Mine endlessly for hours on end. And then, when I finally have an entire inventory full of resources....I build. I build until I run out, then I mine again.

April 7th (Saturday) at 10 AM PST/-8 GMT will be Republica's 1st Spleef Tournament. Players will fight multiple rounds of Minecraft's favorite game, Spleef: http://www.minecraft...net/wiki/Spleef
Prizes:
For 1st Place Overall: the winner will receive $2,000 and a diamond tool of their choice
For 2nd Place Overall: player will receive $750 and a diamond tool of their choice
For 3rd Place Overall: player will receive $500 and a iron tool of their choice
**1st Place winner will also receive the Tournament Champion forum award**
Rounds will be played in randomly selected groups of six or seven players. The top one or two players from each first round match will move on to the final round, where the top three players will win prizes.
Special bonus rounds with slight rule changes (and special prizes) will occur after the main tournament matches!
No sign-up is necessary. Just be online a few minutes before the event starts. See you then!
