That's right! It's time for another Republica Tournament. Read on:
December 17th (next Saturday) at 10 AM PST/-8 GMT will be Republica's third Gladiator Competition. This will give players and friends a chance to duke it out in the official Republica Arena (built by Mekaj) to see who is the best fighter. There will be three categories: Singles, Doubles and Mercenary. We will not be doing the Towns category this time because of our relatively new map.
Prizes:
For Singles: the winner will recieve $2,500 and a diamond tool of their choice.
For Doubles: the team will win $3,000 (1.5k each) and each will get a diamond tool of their choice.
For Mercenary: the winning player will receive $2,750 and a diamond tool of their choice.
The rules are as follows:
1. General Rules:
- For the Singles and Doubles matches, each gladiator will receive the same equipment: 1 full set of iron armor, an iron sword, 1 bow, 64 arrows (no outside equipment is allowed)
- For the Mercenary matches, each gladiator can bring in their own equipment. Anything goes. If you die, you lose the equipment you bring in.
- Single elimination rounds (you die once and you are out).
- Matches are picked at random by MajorKane or jefe323.
2. Match Specific Rules:
- Singles:
- If you are not present when your match is called you will automatically forfeit the round. No exceptions.
- Doubles:
- One player will receive the sword while the other player will receive the bow and arrows.
- If your teammate is not present when your match is called, you may substitute them with anyone who is not already registered as a Doubles competitor. Your substitute will start at a disadvantage though, they will not receiving an iron breastplate.
- Mercenary:
- Each player is responsible for bringing in their own equipment and weapons. Anything goes, though a Tourney official will check your gear before the match starts.
