Sense sometime after my account on Minecraft forums creation, that is sometime after Jan 02 2011, this server was formed, according to the forum post's creation it was formed Jan 21 2011. Starting out as a mere survival server, I got to thinking, whats the point of survival if there isn't any friends to play with, or competition to go against? So the server is made a new map, and we make the server a faction based survival server, thus the name, but this was before the factions plugin was a thing, and bukkit was still becoming new, I can hardly remember the old server manager thing we used to have before it that bukkit replaced. So we had unofficial factions, and that was all right, but things really picked up when the factions plugin came into being, and this server changed to the Primordial Desert Generator map! That's how this server really started, being one of the very first servers to use factions survival in the Primordial Desert map scenario. From there the server grew, lost population, went through recessions, revivals, and the like. In fact if you asked I could give you a in depth history of every map from the beginning, and what happened in them, and why. Now were here, in a modern-ish version of the primordial desert generator map, in 1.4.5. Starting in 1.3 beta, I'd say this server's had a good run. Well I'm no longer into Minecraft enough to trouble myself to keep the server going. This next payment, I will no longer be funding the server, and with no donation money available, I've decided to shut her down on the 23rd or 24th of December. If anyone wants the files used for this server, to out of their own pocket remake the server, same maps, plugins and all, I'd be happy to send them to you in a .zip file over Skype. Really, I'd love to see the server go on without me, and still progress, even if renamed, so long as the general theme and style of the server remains the same, open and self regulating, I'd be happy. BTW I have all the maps from 1.4 beta something for this server, to now, saved if you want any of them. My ending sentence?

You must stake your claim in this land, by joining one of the existing factions or creating you own. Who will claim all the land, and who will fail trying? Come now, fight for your beliefs, go to war, build stuff, explore dungeons, and do whatever! The world is ripe for the picking!
Rules of Faction Creation: 1. No Factions with retarded names. 2. No abuse of faction mechanics 3. It is illegal to claim land around spawn without permission, if you do I will disband your faction. 4. If you have a 1-2 person faction with no land claimed in your factions name I will disband your faction given the opportunity to free up space in the faction list.
If you break any of these rules and other common sense rules your faction will be disbanded, and you along with everyone in your faction will be banned. Type /f help 1-10 for more info.
Server Rules: You may Kill and Steal from people, as it IS a survival server. If you do not want to be killed when at the Spawn, STAY IN THE SAFEZONE! No X-Ray, magical flying crap, CHEATING, or abuseing glitches of any kind will be tolerated. If you say the server is BAD or complain about it without a GOOD reason, you will be baned instantly without warning. Commonsense Rules apply such as; don't be a jackass if you can't support your claims, don't spam, do not promote or type other server's IP on this forum thread or in the server, yatta yatta, the dealio you find on every server.
Griefing is allowed on everything anywhere in the server, expect for in Safe Claimed areas or War Zones.
Movecraft Controls:
To command a craft use this format:
/<vessel type> <sail-pilot>
To move a craft:
Hold a stick and right-click into the direction you want to go (STICK ONLY!)
To Turn a Vessel, once it is under your control:
/ turn
To Release a vessel:
/release
To get Info on a vessel, once under your control:

If you are wondering, Why can't I claim this persons land? They need to have negative power. To get rid of a person power kill them repeatedly. As far as I can tell the lag is less then it was before, but ALL servers are lagging because of the recent updates, and it should all be fixed when Notch releases the next patch.
Because I don't know for sure what my plans are for this server, we've created Factions! Pirates, NInjas, Nuetral, or Your Own Faction. Feal free to make your own if you don't like the others, and feal free to be nuetral. So far it's real fun. I'm looking for a Faction Maker Mod, if there is one, and well its a fun type of gameplay! So join the server!
Well some issues came up and the server was down a while... So here is the new server schedule: Monday to Friday 3:00 - 10:00 (Maybe all night and day) Saturday - Sunday 7:00 - 12:00.
The Weekday times are prone to change, sometimes it will be on longer sometimes it wont.
There is a problem, the server is up but NO one can connect. If you are attempting to connect and failing please post the errors you receive on this forum.
OK I am logged on but people are experiencing, the bug it took to long to log on. and so they can't log on. I am confused, are their Minecraft Updates occurring or someones updating Minecraft.net? I don't have a reason for why people can't get on.

Some updateing may be the cause of you being unable to connect.
