when i connect it says im banned along with codecub too
Sorry guys. I liked having you in the community, but there is a no tolerance duping policy. You had chests FULL of diamonds... WELL WELL beyond your means to acquire them.
I hope you find another community to enjoy and that the beta inventory changes will help alleviate the temptation of duping for you.
Speaking of beta!
When I get home, I am going to do a full run of Synesthesia in beta with full updated addons. We'll see how it goes! Full backup ahead of time... Very excited in anticipation of a good experience, but also wary... we'll see. :wink.gif:
time to DDoS your shitty server
Thank you for further confirming my decision. I still wish you the best hope you can make the best of your time on another server.

Mod edit: warned for harassment
Must not be working.
On another note, something quite comical.
Thank you for trying to add some humor. Mod warned Chimpeh and I don't want to egg anyone on. I really did enjoy having him on the server till he abused the gameplay and understand that he's upset. We really do have a good time and its a fun place to be.
Currently backing up the server and preparing jars. About to proceed with beta test to see if its where we want to be right now.
Beta and the few plugins we really enjoy do not play nice, even updated properly. Also, it was a bit laggier than I had hoped. iConomy is not shop sell/buy friendly at the moment in beta. Its just for moving currency. Stargates also did not work. I had to find an unofficial release and it was not working right.
So, I'm have a really good time in alpha. I'll keep a very keen eye on things and see how beta and the mod updates are going. Till then! Hooray Alpha! :biggrin.gif:
I'm just going to have to make extra sure the people hanging out in Synesthesia in Alpha while we wait for beta to become stable are taken care of extra well. Because, when we do release beta, we're gonna get a lot of people very fast and we're gonna need guild-leaders/mayors, mods, admins, and the such to keep things running smoothly and fun.
I'll keep those updates and scavenger hunts and such coming till then. :wink.gif:
Could use a couple more people running around. Feel free to continue putting in apps. Its a great place to be while beta is being ironed out.
You got banned for heavy duping and attempting to grief in Synesthesia, so now you want to grief the thread? I've been nothing but curteous with you. Furthermore, I am now aware that Codecub is also your account. Please stop posting in this thread and find somewhere else to spend your time.
regardless of what chimpeh did I don't understand why I'm banned. I didn't dupe anything and I still don't believe that there were any diamonds in my chests I was inactive for like 3-4 days. it's easy to frame someone... either way synthesia can be completely taken down for violating Minecraft's TOS and I've already e-mailed forum administrators about you guys PMing everyone with information on how to downgrade Minecraft to Alpha.
This is how I downgraded my client to log into Synesthesia. Took, at most, 2 minutes.
Don't post this anywhere... Minecraft forums will ban you... that's why I'm PMing everyone.
1. Download the bin.rar from -snip-
2. Then BACK UP your bin folder. (users/username/AppData/roaming/.minecraft). Remember to enable viewing of hidden folders, for AppData if needed.
3. After that, put the downloaded bin in /users/username/AppData/roaming/.minecraft (or whatever the path is on your OS) to replace the backed up bin folder there
Now, I didn't do this last step, but apparently its recommended. Its up to you.
4. AFTER THAT, copy the version file from your BACKUPED bin folder into your newly replaced bin folder, and start up Minecraft. It shouldn't patch, and you should be able to login to the server.
Look forward to seeing you in Synesthesia!
now this looks even worse for you lucid than it does for me - good luck getting legalities sorted out when you're sued. <3

Now that THAT is cleared up, hows the Beta tests coming along?I'm kind of interested to know what works and what needs work to get things running. Consider it part of my curiosity in what makes things work.

I've been keeping a really close eye on iConomy. They've been working out some serious bugs with the shops, which I think they're getting a grip on. The primary issue seems to be the sign shops at the moment. I think they'll have that cleared up soon as well.
Depending on how the night goes, perhaps a quick run this evening. Otherwise, I was thinking this weekend.
I'm excited to get into Beta as well and anticipate a lot of new members. We definitely have a surplus of land available for them now.
So, in short, ASAP! :biggrin.gif: I'm by no means complacent about being in Alpha. When the server can move to Beta and not lose the plugin structure that we've come to rely on, we're there! It should be very soon.

can you get rid of the trees in the mine they get in the way too mutch. or can you make it so people get 2 plots at the start. 1 for building 1 for resorses

Hello Grantboy01!
I'm not sure what you mean about them getting in the way, but they're trees. Yes, they're large trees, but we have leaf dropper and they're single width tree trunks. The freemine should have lots of trees, so players can get lumber if they need it. That's why I used a forest generator for the above ground area. The plots are injected with resources and have a percentage more than any naturally generated terrain. The first plot players get is a gift. Its a large area full of resources and players have the capability to buy additional plots without a terrible amount of gathering.
That being said, I always appreciate and take into account feedback. If I hear this echo'd from any other players, I will request additional feedback from them and you on how exactly to make it better and then make appropriate changes next time I redesign and inject the FreeMine with resources.

I haven't really been out to freemine lately so I can't say about the trees. But I think the plots are large enough as they are. I mean, they're pretty big especially considering they're bedrock to sky. I'm strip mining the lower levels and it's definitely huge. I would say that in light of Grantboy's suggestion, instead of making larger plots, maybe inject more resources. Not like ungodly amounts mind you. I think that would be a good compromise.
All that being said, with the current resources as they are and the size of the plots, it encourages players to go out and explore, at least the freemine area. It also makes the shops really convenient and helps create a way for players to interact more.
Personally, I think the way resources are gained are fine, if not too much. The freemine is refilled as needed with a lot of resources. The only thing I dont have more than enough of is diamonds (obviously) and gold. (which is useless anyways) Not only do you have the freemine, and your own plot (which has mossy cobblestone to tell you that you're near diamonds, remember) but you also have the addon Iconomy where you can buy these resources and pretty much anything else you would want. Of course some people prefer to save up and purchase additional plots, but if you really need to you can get the cash for a few diamonds quite easily with a reed/cactus farm.
So, I was running around the server alone looking at the stylish castles and ugly cobblestone moneymaking towers that people have built and thought, what if the stylish buildings were separate from everything else? So, what if you divide up the plots and have like one half the money making buildings and stuff, and the other half our houses.
We wouldn't have both unless we could afford 2 plots and chose to keep them away from each other, you'd just ask new people if they are going to use the new plot to make money, or just build a nice looking house and just give them a plot in the area depending on how they answer the question.
Then all the nice looking houses wouldn't be hard to get a good look at with the towers in the way. The only thing about it is, you can't have any of the viewable area just plain ugly while in the houses area, but they can do what they want with all the space under that area.
Possibly a nice looking tall building area also. Then you can have the shorter nice looking buildings not being overshadowed by the towers.
I dunno, this is just a suggestion. I'm guessing you won't end up doing it since you'll have to move around a bunch of the current plots to work with this and possibly any of the plots of people who ask for a plot in the nice looking area and build a giant cobblestone tower.
Still, doesn't hurt to make a suggestion.
Love the developed feedback guys. I thrive on it. Thank you.

I thought about that at a point as well. The only problem is, when I set people up, I set them up near other people, so they have neighbors. We have a great community and I love the way people get along and work together. When I do set people up, they're just excited and dealing with a new world with rules and abilities and just kind of soaking up what's going on. My fear concerns asking this already overwhelmed new person, "So, are you going to make a money making machine or an elegant keep?", as they try to figure out where to put the chests, crafting block, furnace, and saplings I just handed them. lol.
So, more thinking aloud and brainstorming than anything, what if we set u a zoned community area? The plots there would be purchasable and seperate from common land plots. In this area, we would probably need a theme. Much like how I imagine BroVille was setup, but clearly it wouldn't be that theme. At this point I am really just reacting to feedback, so this isn't concrete yet. Perhaps more of a springboard to generate additional ideas.
As a seperate avenue, we could start work on a larger community project with a similar, but more unified objective. My only hesitation has concerned how we handle community resources on such a project and how new members will interact with that project if permissions are completely open. I have nothing but trust with the current "regulars" that play on Synesthesia, but I fear alienating or excluding anyone if I set specific parameters for participation. Or, is participation a reward for a certain criteria, action, or behavior?
These complex cause and effect reactions are the things I keep in mind with the larger events that occur on Synesthesia. If approached correctly, they can be amazing. However, if we enter into something like this wrong, people's time, hard work, and resources can go to waste or even be griefed maliciosly as our community grows.
If you have ideas or feedback, you know I'm game. I just want Synesthesia to be the best it can be for the members residing within it. With time, participation, and feedback, it can be. Its really only been up for just under a month and we've come a long way. Its all on the great community we have. :smile.gif:
