Az, wait until 1.9 to start up the server again, so you don't have to update once you've already started it.

Curse this server being down! Someone should make a replica of this server or something!..but make it way better.

Didn't think this would turn into a competition however now it is and here is my entry. Last post And to the victor the spoils In terms of games that I'm currently playing, HoN, BF3, minecraft redstonerising server. Skyrim.

I just watched Minecraft release, and felt the immediate need to come here and read while listening to the music I was listening to when I found this server. I'm actually extremely sad, because for some reason it feels like Minecraft is over, instead of beginning. There no back-ups of the first maps (at least none that I know of) which means we can never re-live those great cities before PvP came out. We can't see all the old people we would see on those servers, we can't go to our old houses, we can't make those adjustments to the cities that we wanted to. The one that I really want back is Forest City. Draconia was the one I came in the middle of, but Forest City was one I helped build, the one I built my house in, the really good one. Anyway, thank you all for giving me such awesome memories of this server, and maybe we'll get to play again if the server goes up for a while on 1.0...

Cliched quotes aside, yes the past was fun. From being attacked by invincible spiders to declaring war on foreigners to our server (PUMPKIN CLAN) to constructing massive towers to defend against invaders, sky cities, surviving in the desert, leaving Az's once or twice (Joan's server?, Frontier-craft?) when it was down and yet still having fun as a community.

Yes, pre-pvp was fun, yet a lot of newer people to the server have also had fun on after pvp. You have to take the old and the older old and make the best out of it. I know the idea has been suggested multiple times, but perhaps an Azrooh's Roleplaying - Generations server? One with two maps, pvp and non pvp to satisfy both?

Regardless, what's done is done, shoot for the moon.

I agree with all of this. But in the meantime, has anyone found a 1.0 server yet?
