Why Aurora SMP?: It seems like exactly what I'm looking for. I like small, closely-knit and active SMP servers, and I usually prefer them to be as close to vanilla as possible. Aurora checks all those boxes, and the things I have in common with the other players I see applying certainly doesn't hurt either.
What is your favourite way to play Minecraft? Mining, collecting, progressing and then setting up shops and helping other players. I really helping players get what they need for builds, teaching redstone or just running shops for more high demand items, and I usually spend the down time stocking up.
Why do you like the SMP style? I get the most fun out of Minecraft going with something more traditional, as close to the game's vanilla survival experience as possible. I haven't liked other server types focusing on minigames or rpg mechanics as much, mostly because there are other games I would play instead if I wanted that. SMP also lends to my favorite types of communities where everyone knows one another.
Do you have any experience with Minecraft communities? Quite a bit. Way back around beta 1.8 I used to play on a World of Miners until it closed many years ago, and I've been chasing servers that replicate that feeling of vanilla survival with friends ever since. Since then, I've played on a handful of servers with a focus on SMP, and I've found myself most at home in communities of 10-30 active users where I can bounce back and forth between relaxing and working in the background and popping in to help or contribute to projects.
What kinds of activities/hobbies do you have? I lean towards hobbies that are more creative. Some art, animation, writing, gaming, modding games, and D&D.
Why Aurora SMP?: I'm currently playing another server with friends, however it is hardly active. I'm looking for a server with a few more people to see online, while still enjoying vanilla Minecraft, as it is quite difficult finding a true vanilla experience today.
What is your favourite way to play Minecraft? I generally progress pretty quick, making decent farms to fuel a villager breeder, which I then use to equip myself so that I can explore and build more efficiently. I enjoy collecting more sentimental items that may not hold value to another player, but still tell a story.
Why do you like the SMP style? I've always loved survival games, and with Minecraft being one of the best out there it just seems right to play it. I believe any game is more enjoyable with friends, but most of mine stopped playing Minecraft, so I now have this opportunity to play with new people.
Do you have any experience with Minecraft communities? I have played in more SMPs than I can remember, both with friends and strangers, and have always loved the community up until the death of the server or my loss of interest in playing after a few months.
What kinds of activities/hobbies do you have? I'm currently in college, which will take up much of my time, but I enjoy exploring the outdoors and local towns with friends, I've always played lots of video games since I was very young, but try to balance time spent on the computer, working, or outside.

What is your favourite way to play Minecraft? my favorite way to play is probably exactly like the Hermitcraft guys, I loved minecraft watching them play. I don't like PvP unless it's planned and maybe has a prize. I'd like to know the people I'm playing with and feel safe putting hours in a project, know it's not gonna be destroyed by some kids. I like making things pretty living in a hard worked world where everything is accessable interractig with others around me.

Do you have any experience with Minecraft communities? I did join a couple SMP's through lfg messages on discord for the past 2-3 years I only had 2 good experiences but both of them ended with people having to go back to their real life(school, work etc.) so sadly I had to watched them die slowly.

What is your favourite way to play Minecraft: I'm an explorer and a farmer.
Why do you like the SMP style: Survival is the best game style, and Minecraft is boring by yourself. Even if I never interact with others, just the banter of a server makes the game more enjoyable.
Do you have any experience with Minecraft communities: Quite a bit, even having run servers of my own in the past.
What kinds of activities/hobbies do you have: That would assume I had time aside from work and home, lol. When I'm not working, I'm usually gaming, or watching TV with my wife

What is your favourite way to play Minecraft?: My favorite way to play Minecraft is by grinding. I am always looking for new challenges and I am always up for a good time.[/p]
Why do you like the SMP style?: I like the SMP style because it allows me to play with other people and collaborate on projects. I also enjoy the challenge of building and surviving in a hostile environment.[/p]

What kinds of activities/hobbies do you have?: My hobbies include playing Minecraft, hiking, and spending time with my friends and family.[/p]
I hope you will consider my application. Thank you for your time.[/p]
Why Aurora SMP?: Firstly, the advertising lol. It was clean and professional looking so it comes across as a put together community. The server appears to be no frills as in no extra plugins/mods. I wanted just a simple SMP experience with mature players. Also the voice proximity makes it even better for community building.
What is your favourite way to play Minecraft?: Typically my favorite way to play is actually multiplayer creative because I like to create builds, but I do enjoy playing survival as well.
Why do you like the SMP style? Playing solo is lonely. I like to chat with other players and build with them.
Do you have any experience with Minecraft communities? Yes, I have played multiplayer for several years and have been a part of communities in the past. I've also had a hand in running these communities but that's ancient history.
What kinds of activities/hobbies do you have? Gaming (of course). Reading, trying new restaurants. Working my 9-5 sadge
Why Aurora SMP?: been looking for a mature, but not lewd, server where it's ok to build and ok to visit and no griefing
What is your favourite way to play Minecraft? vanilla
Why do you like the SMP style? there are people to talk to or not to talk to

What kinds of activities/hobbies do you have? City Building games, Genealogy
Country: Canada (EST timezone, flexible hours since I work rotating shifts)
What is your Discord ID?: blaze_masta
Why Aurora SMP?: SMP is the lifeblood of me and aurora seems like a lively close knit community. I used to run a similar server a few years back, then left video games altogether for a bit. Now coming back to Minecraft, most of the people I knew don't play anymore and I find the gameplay loop a bit boring by myself.
What is your favourite way to play Minecraft? With friends. I used to be more of a technical player, but haven't kept pace with all of the recent updates. I just want to rediscover a great game.
Why do you like the SMP style? It's the only worthy style. Well apart from CTM maps maybe
Do you have any experience with Minecraft communities? Yes, used to manage one.
What kinds of activities/hobbies do you have? Outside MC? Outdoor activities, rock climbing, mountaineering, whitewater kayaking. I used to play a bunch of D&D, not so much anymore. I've recently picked up board gaming as well.
Why Aurora SMP?: This server is the one that stuck out to me the most as sticking to a vanilla playstyle and I won't feel as stuck out in a newer community. An easy way to try to make new friends and give myself a renewed escapism.
What is your favourite way to play Minecraft? I like to farm and think of different ways to build a sustainable base, as well as explore. If I build a farm first, I have enough food to focus on other aspects of the game, getting resources and helping others with their builds. I tend to build a base or home big enough to fit four people, because I used to play with a small group, so it's an old habit.
Why do you like the SMP style? I prefer RPGs for singleplayer. Getting lost in a character. For multiplayer, survival suits me just fine because I can do something and have others actually see it, because what's the point in doing more than the bare minimum if I'm all alone?
Do you have any experience with Minecraft communities? In the past, yes. The communities grew old, people moved on, and they're now defunct or inactive. I do miss them, though.
What kinds of activities/hobbies do you have? I play a lot of Sea of Thieves, Rogue Company, No Man's Sky, Bethesda games and of course Minecraft at times. I'm disabled, now more than ever, so almost all of it is online.
