Server Description: Empyrean MC will be a Minecraft Survival Free-Build, Non-Grief, PvP Optional, Economy Server.
(The server name can be changed depending on staff vote)
NOTE from the Owner: The server does not have an estimated opening date and is literally just starting, a few minutes after this thread was published I had started configuring the first plugins. This is just the initial plan and blueprint.
Free-Build: Players will be able to build freely anywhere around the map except in other players' claims unless they are /trusted.
Non-Grief: The server will have a land plot claiming system. Players will be able to claim their land and no one will be able to break a single block in their claim, if you want to allow someone access to building/opening chests in your claim then you can /trust them. There will be no tolerance for griefing at all, some players will build their structures and not claim them and you still cannot alter their claim, you will be banned if you are caught griefing and it’s pretty pointless since we can just rollback all of it.
PvP Optional: PvP is off for players at start, they can either choose to never turn it on or they can toggle on PvP using the /pvp command, this will have a cooldown, you cannot turn it off during combat with a player and you obviously cannot attack other players if they have it off and vice versa. (The /pvp toggle option does not include monsters (zomb/skel/creep/spidr etc), you will have to fight them no matter what, this command is strictly for PvP and not PvE.
Economy: The server will have a shop GUI which can be accessed with /shop. In this GUI you are able to buy or sell certain items to get in-game currency which can be seen with /balance and you can also buy or sell items to other players via the /pay command. This will be one of the server’s initial objectives for players, to compete to see who will have the most money. They can grind to build massive automatic farms, sell the items to the shop GUI and be the coolest player. (To give you a better understanding of the worth of the in game dollar is that 1 diamond is worth $6, 64 cobblestone sells for $16 etc.)
Why Should I Join This Server?: Other than the features from above, we will add a bunch of other cool features while trying to stay as vanilla as possible. For example, ranks achievable via play time that unlock a bunch of extra commands that are convenient, custom enchants. Players can have a great time with their friends and make their own shops and towns.
NOTE: Swearing is allowed (except zero racist or homophobic words or remarks), although we would like to be as family friendly as possible. We are striving to have fun playing our favorite game while building a great friendly community.
Fill out the staff application, unless you just want to be a player.
Staff Recruitment Process: At this time, the staff's only responsibility will be simply talking about the server in our Discord and you guys can give me advice and ideas on features and improvements for the server. I would really appreciate your interest and help talking about this. All staff start out as Trial-Moderators, you can keep reading if you are interested in joining as a server tester/player but you can stop reading if you want to be Admin right after your application is accepted (although in the application you can mention what your future goal staff position is and we will always keep it in consideration). The Trial-Mod process is merely the way server administration handles Trial-Mods. Upon acceptance, a Trial-Mod is promoted by an administrator and is talked to by a higher staff member when he or she is promoted. You will be given a 15 page document "A Beginner's Guide to Staff," which can answer all your questions about being staff. The server administration will be reviewing your time as a Trial-Mod to see how you perform and handle things. The overall point is that you should just do your job to the best of your ability, and if you do a good job the administrators will see that. A person can remain a Trial-Mod for any amount of time. It could be a week, a month, a few months, etc. Do not get worried if you are still a Trial-Mod after a month and someone else got promoted. This does not mean that the administrators wish to demote you. Server administrators can demote you at any time and without reason. However, normally they will give you a good reason for a demotion.
