I currently have a VPS sitting unused, and recently I've started watching the new Hermitcraft season 8 videos on Youtube. With that happening, I felt like it was time for me to jump back into Minecraft but with a bit more planning. What I want to do is put together a group of people with similar mindsets, and create a new SMP server similar to Hermitcraft - one focused on the community.
The goal would be to have a smaller whitelisted server, maybe 15-25 people max, with an end goal of simply enjoying logging on and playing. While I have a server and a mulitcraft license ready to go, I don't want to start playing until we have a small community formed. With that said, I'd like this group of people to decide together what kind of map we want to play on, any mods/plugins we would want to use ect.
About myself:
I go by Tharvoil (Thar for short). I'm 29 years old, married, and work full time in the healthcare I.T. sector, its a unique beast for sure. In the online world, I run a guild in WoW TBC Classic, and have hosted multiple Minecraft servers in the past.
What I'm Looking For:
I'm looking for other adults(18+), who are like-minded and prefer to play on a server where everyone chats and has a good time. A relaxed attitude is a must, if you are easily offended or get angry easily, you would not be a good fit. I would prefer that you be at least decently active in the community, though I don't expect you to be on 24/7 or even daily. Real life is important and must come first. Chances are I'll do some streaming as well, so you would need to be okay with your in game character being on stream - though I will not be streaming any other peoples voices unless they are okay with it. We would use Discord to communicate and facilitate in game events and other things.

What would excite you the most about joining? I play on a realm currently that is not very active. Looking for more active players and love the idea of a hermitcrat type server. For additional mods i would suggest the proximity chat feature.[/b]
Minecraft Play Style: I tend to focus the most on supply collection (ie early game mining/grinding, mid game farm building/redstone) Love exploring redstone builds. PvP is right up my alley in terms of UHC[/b]

Because of my job and college, I haven't been able to play in quite a long time, so I find it quite exciting to be able to find a new server I can play on again. I used to keep up with the Hermitcraft videos, but I haven't seen the most recent seasons. Still, just the concept of a hermit craft-like server excites me. I used to play on similar servers however unfortunately they eventually died out and everyone went their own ways, so it is exciting to find a new like-minded community to join.
