- I have an old laptop that I use as a server with Ubuntu Server 18.04
- I installed Hamachi & Haguichi on it
So I wanted to create a minecraft server for my mates at dorm, I did, using my IP they connected and it works if we are using the same router.
BUT I want classmates outside the dorm, to be able to also play so I thought to use Hamachi. I downloaded it and the linux version on my Ubuntu server, set it up, created a Network, joined the network from my Windows PC and I could see the server online in the network.
I start the server, I try to join (from my Windows PC) using the IPv4 from Hamachi (from the server of course) and it's not working
I edit the server.proprieties and after server-ip= I add the IPv4, save and start the server. It's still not working
-- What should I do in order to make the server run with Hamachi?
*I tried again on both scenarios 1 and 2 with Direct Connect, or with Direct Connect + the 25565 port, still nothing.
***Apparently, even if I turn on Hamachi (Haguichi) on my Ubuntu server and then start the MC server. I can still connect with the IP from the Ubuntu Server (same.109) from my Windows that has the IP (same.106).The minecraft server is ignoring Hamachi or.. what?
