It is a free roam RPG style server. With various MMORPG aspects
of custom craft-able items, player driven lore aside from the pre-written server lore,
and the ability of Kingdom Conquest. The roleplay aspect comes in
either when having a casual conversation, or handling diplomatic
scenerios that could errupt in war.
Dont like Roleplay
Relax, its not all roleplay! You can be
just a peaceful miner, or a warrior out hunting monsters
It is not required!
Towns and Kingdoms
When you are into roleplay, you will get more chances to do things
that can and will eventually effect server lore. There are many things players
will be able to do. Such as fighting for your kingdom, sailing a movable ship into battle
or even going and conquering other towns of another kingdom so that you may eventually
defeat your enemies and take rule over the enemy kingdom. NPC towns and kingdoms are
also capturable during certain events for players to eventually conquer the world!
Or you can be a simple shop keeper, thats cool too.
Some extra features include;
Custom MMO Item sets
Custom Seige Equipment
We will be having content updates on a regular schedule just like every other MMO.
So be sure to check us out!
Amazing Community and an owner who has extreme talent and ideas that will change this server into a completely new game. A great way to spend your time if you love RP games. The second you spawn in you can feel all the effort that the staff put into this project. Even if you like games such as Skyrim etc. you would love to play on this server.
A really talented team of people who work day in and day out to bring an amazing experience to the game. They work to ensure that this server is always at it's best. You can basically see the creativity dripping from their player models.
Arkacia is an awesome server, there's a couple of towns to explore so far, the owner is busy implementing even more stuff and constantly building and improving.
As of so far I've seen Valyn (the town you start in where you can sell / buy some goods en go on some short quests to get some starter items)
Winterheim that has a huge cathedral and some homes that players can live in and Hedinna, a small hamlet near Winterheim (when I say near I mean about an in game day worth of sprinting.)
Server uses MCMMO that increases your skills based on what you do, ergo i'm making potions and gathering herbs so i'm getting better at harvesting and making potions, there's tons of other skills to level aswel. MCMMO comes with custom crafting and skills you can use.
The wilderness itself is brutal (mobs, mobs everywhere!), the world is custom so it feels like a whole new world to explore. Giant trees, huge plains, snowy tundra's. You can build wherever you want in the wilderness and maybe even start up a new town somewhere.
Here's a small overview of what to expect:
RP (if you want, you don't have too, RP is usually done in local chat (there's global ((world chat)) and local chat.)
Towns / Cities. Or set up your own (using Towny)
World Currency. (Arkacia uses Drakes as currency)
Trading, selling and buying with players or in towns.
Custom crafting (I saw a couple of people shooting each other with magic.)
Friendly and very helpful staff.
Custom crafting. (Greatswords, shields, axes, bows)
Locking your doors so people can't steal your stuff (very handy as long as you don't lose your keys, plugin: Serialkey)
There's probably more to do that I'm yet to discover and the owner keeps on adding new stuff to the list so come check out Arkacia
I really love this server! Everybody's so nice and helpful and fun to RP with. If I had to say one bad thing about it, it's that there aren't really a lot of players on, but I'd like to see that change! There are quite a few towns already but most only have a few people in them, which is a shame because there are a lot of great builds in each of the towns. The server would only get better if we had more people to play on the server with, and the RP would get more interesting that way, too, although the RP is optional. It's okay to focus on mining or some other aspect of Minecraft instead.
By the way, if you do join and find yourself in need of something, I play a rabbitkin merchant and will sell just about anything I can get my hands on. There are also NPC merchants in the starting town you can sell items to and a PC blacksmith in one of the towns if you want custom work done on your weapons or armor. So don't worry about the difficulty, we've got you covered!
