My name is Nem, and I've made similar posts about this server project before.
Since roughly 2 years now I've been working on my most anticipated project of all,
and believe me; I've started many projects.
After these years of development, I am happy to say I will be releasing my server, what it is you ask? Pokémon GO in Minecraft.
How does it work?
The server mainly focuses on a normal survival experience with claims, shops etc.
The big twist is, is that you're able to catch and collect 493 kinds of pokémon from generation 1 to 4.
Now you're probably asking; how are pokémon displayed in-game and how do you catch them?
Pokémon get displayed as player heads with their according skin and stats like type, gender etc..
Pokémon spawns are comparable with the discord bot Pokécord, in which pokémon spawn from
time to time in chat. They work the same way on GO Survival.
Every few minutes a pokémon will appear in the chat for a player to catch with the command /catch <pokémon>.
Here's a few examples of how the whole pokémon thing works on our server:
Catching a wild pokémon:
The "Nearby Radar" which also displays nests (yes, there are nests).
Shiny pokémon (only shiny variants that are available in Pokémon GO are available in GO Survival):
The /pokeinfo command:
Now, that should of given you a look on how things work.
As I stated before, it's a common survival experience EXCEPT; you're able to catch pokémon.
That wraps it up once again!
If you're really interested in joining the server once it releases, please join our discord server as linked above.
I hope you enjoyed reading through this little thread, and I do hope my project gets attention.
Have a wonderful day!
