Smart - Alyssia is literate, she enjoys reading very much, and is a quick-learner. She is schooled in mathematics, science (as much as it is possibly can be known), and her letters.
Cunning - Alyssia is sly. With her intelligence, she has learned the skill of trickery. She could con you out of every penny you had if she wanted to.
Intriguing - Being an attractive female has its perks. Her beauty draws a person in, but her personality and nature make you stay.
Protective - Once you are a part of Alyssia's "circle," you should know you are safe. Being trained in not only the art of a sharp tongue but also using a sharp blade, Alyssia can cut through a man's heart easily, both figuratively and literally.
Character's faults: (2-3 sentences)
Ruthless - Once Alyssia decides you are not worth your time, may the gods bless your soul. She can make your life hell, and she will go out of her way to do so.
Cold-hearted - Alyssia does not take to lovers very well. She isn't one for romance and love.
Loner - Alyssia has many acquaintances, but not many she can truly call friends. Not many people resonate much with her. You have to be truly special for her to keep you around.
Short-Tempered - It doesn't take much to set Alyssia off. You do not want to be around her that way, either.
Background: (1-2 paragraphs)
Alyssia never knew her birth parents. She was orphaned from her first day of life. She grew up in poor houses with other orphan children. Scavenging, pick-pocketing, and hiding from guards was her life for the most part of her life. Until she turned 14. Alyssa found herself intrigued in the local library, were an old widower worked day in and day out. One day, the old man saw Alyssia's fire-red hair sticking up in the window, her big green eyes round with wonder as she gazed upon the rows and rows of books inside. The old man let her in on the cold night, and thus began the only parent-like relationship that Alyssia has ever known.
The man taught her how to read, write, and taught her every thing she needed to know to "make it somewhere," as he often said. He fully took her in, dressed her, trained her in combat, and taught her how to act like a proper lady. She was turned from a street rat to a fine young woman by this man. Alyssa worked in the library with him, and read almost every book in the building. As Alyssia grew older, so did her adoptive father. Suddenly, old age took him in the night, and she was left alone again. Alyssa set out to "make it somewhere," just like her old man had told her she would.

IC name: Alcarin Doris Sandstorm
IC age: 35 Character's skills: (2-3 sentences) Sailing: Alcarin is a skilled sailor, and is capable of piloting and steering a ship. Brawling: While not trained in swordplay, Alcarin has plenty of experience with fistfights. Strong: Capable of wielding large weapons and carrying heavy loads if needed. Swimming: Alcarin is an above average swimmer. He moves easier in the water than on land. Character's faults: (2-3 sentences) Unconvincing: Alcarin is an awful communicator and is more believable when lying than when telling the truth. Eleventh Finger: Alcarin has an extra finger on his dominant right hand making it hard for him to reach his full potential when using an average sword. Clumsy: Very accident prone. Alcarin often trips or nearly falls when just walking. Weak-Willed: Alcarin is easily persuaded and discouraged. Unintelligent: Not very knowledgeable or learned. Background: (1-2 paragraphs)
Alcarin was raised by his mother, Matira, in Arcadia, for his father had left him soon after his birth. The only memory left of his father was his last name and the middle name his father had chosen for him. His early life was rough, he and his mother lived in poverty, and Alcarin didn't receive much education, having to constantly work from a young age to keep him and his mom fed. The first 18 years of his life as constant working, hopping from job to job. There didn't seem to be much hope of a future for Alcarin.
Soon after his 19th birthday, Alcarin found a job at the Jaglow Trading Company, where he thrived. Starting as a simple, lowly shipmate, Alcarin rose up the ranks, and he was given his own ship to pilot at the age of 33. His life seemed good. There was a clear future for him in the trading business ,and he was making enough money to keep him and his mother well fed. But, after only a year of having his own ship, the Jaglow Trading Company was disbanded due to accusations of piracy, and Alcarin's ship was seized. His life seemed over, but soon after he saw a poster asking for people to come to Avaris, promising opportunity for people of any occupation. He immediately took the offer, promising to send money back for his mother in Arcadia and to return there one day.
The most major thing that I see you've done wrong is your Backstory. You wrote his backstory as if this were the 20th or 21st century, with 'postmen' and formal 'colleges' as institutions. Let me remind you that this is a medieval fantasy server; the equivalent of a postman back then would be a courier. Degrees did not exist, and psychology did not become a field of study until 1879, so that would not be a thing either.
I encourage you to do a little bit of research on what a courier would do back then, and what life was generally like in that time period, as far as both careers and education went.
When you make changes to your backstory, you must also change some of your skills accordingly. Revise and repost, please.

IC name: Durak Rakshasi
IC age: 23
Character skills:
Learned: Has been educated on a variety of subjects, including carpentry, medical sciences, animal husbandry, and more.
Agile: Moves quickly and quietly.
Southern: Accustomed to life in the desert.
Darkvision: Orcs can see in any light level above pitch-blackness.
Character flaws:
Cowardly: Strongly prefers to avoid fights when possible, and almost exclusively uses a bow when he can't.
Outsider: Unaware of many human customs and does not yet have full command of the language.
Carnivorous: Orcs cannot eat bread and require a steady supply of meat.
Background:
Durak hails from the city of Rakshasa, in the far-southern scrublands and desert. Rakshasa, like many cities in the south, was formed when one of the many warring Orcish tribes became successful enough to stop being a "tribe" and start being a "civilization". Durak grew up next to the only bookshop in the city, and spent his time reading everything he could get his hands on. Aside from learning practical knowledge, he also read about the stunning civilizations to the north, with their humans and elves and half a dozen races he hadn't even heard of before, and eventually developed the urge to actually go to places instead of just read about them. At 21, his wanderlust got the best of him, and he began to make his way north, finding his way to Arcadia after months of travel.
When he heard about the expedition to Avaris, he jumped to the call.
(One of the previous applicants had her race as half-orc, so I figured a full-blooded orc would still be lore-friendly.)

APPLICATION- Accepted
On the Orc, so, being a scholarly one in itself isn't too obscene, seeing as a few Orcs do live in Arcadia, so I can let that slide, but take into account being an Orc doesn't make you fast, you ain't slow but you aren't obscenely fast, also no, they don't see any better in the dark than the average human, also remember he is NOT any stronger than an upper tier human due to the fact he is a scholar. You are accepted, but remember he isn't a warrior, and unless he trains, he won't be stronger than any regular warrior character, and you don't have to write your own lore due to the fact some already exists, it isn't too readily available albeit.

IC name: Eddard Grey (Most call him Grey Though)
IC age: 39
Character's skills: Grey has a few talents though not too many (cause no powergaming). He's a large man so strength is one, and along with his upbringing he knows how to smith, mine and build. He can fight well too, but he relies on his strength as he has no formal training.
Character's faults: He's big so although he can take big strides he's not all that agile. Like earlier stated he has no formal weapons training. And his biggest Achilles heel is that he likes his drink a bit too much. He's been drinking his whole life and has a high alcohol tolerance but he still gets drunk pretty often.
Background:
Eddard grew up not knowing his mother, as she died when he was too young to remember. His father raised him as well as he could on his own though he had to balance work with his son. Eddard's father, Jon, was the town smith AND carpenter of Hidtack Cliff and that kept him very busy. He did always make time for Eddard though. And in return for that Eddard helped his father with his work when he became old enough to, he would also help the miners in his spare time, this is where he learned his craft of smithing, mining and carpentry.
Eventually Eddard came of age and wanted to strike out on his own, and so after he made sure someone else was around to apprentice under his father, though mainly just to be an extra hand, Eddard did strike off on his own. He went out to find a place to start his own smithy. But to be honest Grey never found anywhere he liked, just becoming a traveling smith. He became a pretty decent smith too. But now the traveling Grey is starting to get old, and so he's deciding to settle down. Think his last stop is here to the colony of Avaris, hoping to simply find a peaceful place to settle down and start a smithy and mine.

However his three older brothers usually set out of their way to pester him when they were not helping with the harvest. Life slowly slithered bye as each one of his siblings left home searching for work as time grew bye. Eventually he would turn sixteen himself when his father told him that it was his turn to leave home. He was a little scared at first, but he had no options than to just agree with it. He was given some food and leather pouch to but it in, and off he went. His mother watched him leave having a few tears in her eyes as her last child was finally becoming an adult.
The next chapter of his life had started, and the first goal was to find a place to work and sleep. And this he did, he ended up at a farm consisting of a singel farmer. The sun hit his face as he woke up still on the side of the road, the first thing he felt for was his wound which had already healed. That`s when his big escape started, slowly quitting the shine from the moon forever.

In this form his sole intention isn`t to kill and wouldn't go out his way to kill anything simply for blood lust. Only if attacked or for food would he attack, and even then this wont be the main concern for the wolf.
Character's skills:
His skills lie within farming having a lot of knowlage about it.
Having a tough built and strong muscles hard labor wouldn't make him lose breath very quickly.
Lying is something he had grow accustom, so making up a convincing one wouldn't require much taught before hand.
Character's faults:
