ok i tried joining in both 1.7.10 with thaumcraft 4 and 1.8 with thaumcraft 5, and when that failed i tried direct connecting on both of the updates. still no luck.

What is this hosted on tekkit or ftb or normal mc?
If you're asking is it a mod pack or is it a server for one It is not it's just a server with currently only thaumcraft 5 on it just that.

Why advertise you're large Thaumcraft 5 server when you're still using Thaumcraft 4 on a 1.7.10 server?
