Short and stocky (duh), and fairly well-built, wears regal clothing with his family's insignia on the back. Leaves shirt unbuttoned to the point that you can see his glorious chest hair. Shoulder-length brown hair is tied back in a ponytail. Wears a wedding ring on his left ring finger.

Biography (Minimum 225 words. Most very fleshed-out characters have around 300, but feel free to use even more than that if you wish. Try and avoid clichés such as loved one being killed by bandits or the like):
Duncan was born in the underground kingdom of Drunn. His childhood wasn't a particularly eventful one; he played, he climbed, he fell, he learned. The whole shebang. He did experience slightly more ridicule than most for preferring bows to hammers and axes, as most his age did, but a swift pinned shirt to stone silenced those chides fairly quickly. Unlike most young halfmen, Duncan yearned to see the surface, to experience the Sun on his head. So one day, he decided he would. Fresh into adulthood, at age 21, Duncan set off. In his travels, he learned to be a smooth talker, and talk in as many languages as he could, but was genuinely unable to be dishonest. Sure, tall tales to entertain would come easily, but he couldn't find it in himself to lie. Surprisingly, this made him quite a popular, if unsuccessful in the larger scale, businessman. Since he took to languages so quickly, and always kept a bow within his stubby arms' reach (he was trustworthy, not stupid), he gained a reputation as "The Silver-Tongued Arrow" around the town where he did his business, using his halfman expertise to buy and sell ores for a moderate profit. He sold to all people who would buy and bought from all who would sell; one of these was Matilda, a halfwoman who took a fancy to him. Soon enough, they married, and for some twenty-odd years they lived quite happily and comfortably. No pitter-patter of little feet blessed their home, but it was happy nevertheless. Matilda, though, as does happen, became deathly ill and passed soon after, not suffering for long. Duncan, though of course saddened, had his time to say his goodbyes, and closure was had for all involved. He decided soon after that it wouldn't be the same living in their house without her, and thought he might be able to do more good in Enris.
What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation):
Keep on keeping on, until he dies hopefully with a belly full of mead, and gets to see his wife again.
Strengths (Both physical and personality):
Handy with a bow and a skilled diplomat, Duncan can negotiate any deal, talk to anyone, and a skilled bookkeeper.
Weaknesses (Balance out yours character's strengths with suitable weaknesses. Not knowing how to do something that is outside of your class is not a weakness. I.E. Not knowing how to use a bow as a miner.):
Unable to lie even if it helps in the long run, and due to a cave-in as a child, walks with a noticeable limp. Often fails to notice the severity of situations, and endangers himself and others by thinking he can take it on.
What is your character's personality? (Optional; use this field to note character traits that you feel don't fit into either strengths or weaknesses if you wish):
Caring, kind, and "cool uncle"-like in demeanor, Duncan always has a kind word for everyone, especially his customers. Also charming, and has a certain way with words.

The soothing, beautiful sound of the flute carried itself on the wind and with the scenery of the flower field, it was a sight to behold. However, the boy who watched the scene could feel the sadness and loneliness behind the music. Walk through the flower fields and you would come to a big tree where a girl sat. Even though she was just ten, she could already play the flute better than several mistrals and bards. Empty-looking gray eyes staring down the fields as she played, it was just a depressing scene for the boy. He was her friend since they could both walk at the age of two and now with a heavy heart, he approached her. He was coming from the back of the tree, somewhere she couldn't see. She continued playing oblivious to the fact that he was behind, tapping the melody of her song with his finger on the tree. She couldn't hear the tapping. The song soon ended and silence fell back onto the bright fields. The boy, immersed in the music would call out to her but then cringe, shaking his head going to tap her. She jumped surprised and then seeing who it was, smiled.
"Say something next ti ... never mind."
She stopped herself sadly and looked down at her instrument, an ebony flute passed down from her family which she spent most of her time practicing.
"Was it nice?"
She asked him and he would nod, showing a thumbs up while doing his best not to let his tears flow. The girl's tears have already left her eyes. Since a month ago when she was down with a fever, there was no doctor in her village and they had to call one in from faraway and by then, her fever had reached a dangerous stage. She recovered eventually but after that, no longer could she listen to the sweet notes played by the flute, nor the voice of her childhood friend. Her hearing had gone with the fever.
*********
He was running around excitedly, looking for her. He had found something he felt was the cure. Hearing the sound of the entrancing flute he had fallen in love, he rushed towards it. He flew past the girl as she sat at her doorstep, eyes closed playing the black ebony flute. Having made alot of noise, the neighbors threw annoyed glances at him for spoiling the music but the girl carried on playing, unfazed as she after all, could not have heard him crashing past and lest seen him with her eyes closed. Sweating and clearly excited, he however waited for her to finish playing and opening her eyes to notice him. He waved and then spoke slowly, ensuring that she could see the movement of his mouth.
"I found something!"
"I ... found something."
She parroted in a monotone voice and then looked at him for confirmation. He then nodded and grinned.
"Of course. I'm the best."
She would say again in a slightly cheerful voice and then turn away, making a "hmp!" sound before hurriedly turning back to see what else he had to say.
"More books on magic."
He would then open the heavy bookbag that he had slugged across the village and then pass it to her. She looked uninterested as she opened her pack but her fumbling hands betrayed her excitement. The topic of magic was one of her favorites ever since they found it four years ago, after she had lost her hearing, they desperately searched the library for a cure for her disability and found magic, the force that can do just about anything. Though they found nothing about curing being unable to hear, she had found out she loved the subject and would spend lots of time, reading stories about magic, the scrolls about them and the history behind them. After encountering magic books of different languages, she would then look for reference books to learn their languages, spending most of her day where she would formerly spend with her friends who had left her all except for the boy. She recorded all she learnt, all her tiny adventures, all her sufferings, all her regrets, all her wishes in a little notebook she carried around with her along with her ebony flute. The boy tapped her shoulder and she looked up, watching his lips.
"That's not all!"
He then reached into the bag and brought out one of the books and flipped to a page. There is read. "The origin of magic is where everything began. The Holy Land, Enris." Grabbing her hand, he would make sure she was looking before wrapping his little finger on hers.
"I promise when we grow up, I will bring you to Enris and you will be able to hear again."
**********
But that couldn't wait. Forging a letter, identifying herself as a follower of Thaer on her way to Enris to pray for the success of the human forces that battled the undead scourge, she had left for Enris on a ship.
What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation): See magic for herself and to harness it to possibly fix her disability
Strengths (Both physical and personality):
A talented musician. She can play the flute on a masterful level. She's can also read and write at a scholar's level and can speak and write in several languages.
Weaknesses (Balance out yours character's
strengths with suitable weaknesses. Not knowing how to do something that
is outside of your class is not a weakness. I.E. Not knowing how to use
a bow as a miner.):
Though she knows several languages, she is unable to hear them and so she may sometimes pronounce sentences weirdly with missing words or long awkward pauses. Also, she hasn't had any physical training so her fitness level is very low. She is unable to hear anything at all and could rely on lip-reading to understand what someone is saying but that requires her to look at the speaker at all times as such, she can only listen to one person at a time. Another way is through writing in her notebook but that is a time-consuming process.
What is your character's personality?
(Optional; use this field to note character traits that you feel don't
fit into either strengths or weaknesses if you wish):
Years of being unable to hear anything and thus, speaking less to people around her, she can be very awkward socially, usually very quiet or suddenly speaking out. She is not shy however, only just unfamiliar of how to interact with others.

Edit: Read through your bio. You mayyy want to add an actual biography to your bio. As-is it seems like more of a description of your combat prowess and a very rough personality, as opposed to the actual history of your character. Where were you born? What did your family do for a living? Where did you learn your trade? Who've you worked with, what have you learned? How do you fit into our world and the events transpiring? At the moment, I see nothing in your bio that would even suggest that you live on Enris, let alone a detailed explanation of why you are there with the current situation.

Name: Dhaun'ayl Oussalya
Age: 22
Race: Drow
Physical description: Dhaun is not the beefiest fellow, standing at a mere 5'9" and weighing only 166 pounds. His lean frame carries him quickly to wherever he needs to go, though he mostly walks with a bit of a slouch. His short-cropped maroonish hair compliments his dark, lavender-esque complexion, which is nigh flawless, by the way, and he allows a bit of scruff to grow on his chin and upper lip. His irises almost match his hair, lacking only in fullness of color as a dry dark red. With cheekbones high upon his face, Dhaun looks almost stereotypically elven.
Screen capture of your skin (I recommend uploading to imgur and posting link here): I don't have an imgur image because it's too slow, but I do have two links to needcoolshoes. Hope these are acceptable.
Biography (Minimum 225 words. Most very fleshed-out characters have around 300, but feel free to use even more than that if you wish. Try and avoid clichés such as loved one being killed by bandits or the like): Dhaun'ayl was born on the road. Never having stayed in a city for more than a few days at a time, Dhaun's parents, Kirren and Ignii, travelled about the province of Beschwall, providing entertainment, drinks, and even transporation to any who sought it. At the young age of five years old, Dhaun learned from his loving parents the art of brewing. By eight, Dhaun could brew an ale and pass it off as his father's(and he did so on multiple occasions). Around the same time, his parents figured him old enough to perform with them. They instructed him in the use of many instruments, from the harpischord to the violin. In another two years, the ten-year-old Dhaun'ayl was accompanying his mother and father in many musical pieces, and even writing his own, on occasion.
It was on his twelfth birthday when the horses dragging their large cart across the province kicked a rock into one of the axles in the back. His father was busy trying to stabilize the cart, and his mother, pregnant in the back, so he took it upon himself to make his way around the top and to the back and move the axle back into place. He did a fine enough job, and the cart was able to come to a stop without falling over and his father could properly replace the broken part. While his father worked to shape the bits of metal necessary to reattach the thing, Dhaun was busy getting himself a meal. He chased roosters through the fields of wheat, pouncing on them and quickly killing them with a hunting knife he'd bought a few cities back. Returning to the cart with the fruit of his labors, four fresh chickens, he founds his father finished with his work and ready to go. He requested that they stay a while, so he could cook his chicken and have a break from the constant rattling of his spine while riding in that cart. They agreed to stay for the night, and Dhaun happily cooked up the four chickens. The next day, as his parents woke and prepared the cart, they would find that Dhaun had moved from within the cart to sleep in the wheat in the night. As the cart trundled off down the road, Dhaun awoke, and, panicking, ran after, leaving the remaining chicken behind. The cart, only traveling about seven miles an hour, was easily caught up with, especially with Dhaun being so quick. He decided he like running alongside the cart, and about a quarter of the time traveling between cities was spent on foot. At night, he could even outrun the cart, often sprinting ahead to give himself a short breather before carrying on as the cart continued. When Dhaun was almost thirteen, his little sister, who his mother had carried for the standard nine months, was stillborn. It was a damaging blow, but Dhaun and his parents soon got over it, and continued on after two weeks in one city, a first for the family. Two years(and some change) later, on the eve of Dhaun's fifteenth birthday, his mother began to teach him how to fence. It was slow-going, as melee was not his strong suit, nor were precise movements, but before his sixteenth birthday, Dhaun had become an adequate fencer.
He continued to practice with his mother, nothing too eventful occuring until his nineteenth birthday, when a familiar situation was set in motion. They were traveling along a particularly rocky trail, and a horse, the newest one, kicked up a stone that found its way to the front right axle. This time, however, Dhaun was at the helm, and his father went to climb down and move the part back into place. Losing his footing, Kirren fell beneath the cart, and was crushed beneath both wheels. The cart was sent careening off to the side of the road, tumbling to its side. Ignii was knocked from the cart, landing safely a few feet from the wreck. Dhaun, being stuck between the trail and the remains of the cart, struggled to escape. There was a crashing sound, as Dhaun's own brew fell and broke open, spilling inside of the cart. The candle his mother had been using to read also fell, and ignited the alcohol. The cart became a plume of flames, with Dhaun trapped beneath it. His upper back and left shoulder were burned terribly before he managed to slip from the cart, writhing in the dust. His mother treated the burns and wrapped them, and later sent Dhaun onwards to the nearest homestead to get help while she retrieved his father. He hesitantly obliged, making his way at a relatively sluggish pace to a farmhouse not far from where they'd crashed. He returned to the wreckage with a father and a son, humans, to find Ignii lying against the smoking wreckage, huddled in a ball. It would be a good six months before they managed to find work, and a year and a half after that when his mother was able to buy a small plot of land. A couple months after Dhaun's 21st birthday, he said his goodbyes with his mother to travel to the archipelago province of Enris to aid against the threat in whatever way he can.
What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation): To provide aid for any who need it in the fight against the Undead.
Strengths (Both physical and personality): Dhaun'ayl is very fast. His relative shortness allow him gracefully agility, and he is rather adept with the rapier. Dhaun is a happy, caring individual, a happiness that tends to be infectious.
Weaknesses (Balance out yours character's strengths with suitable weaknesses. Not knowing how to do something that is outside of your class is not a weakness. I.E. Not knowing how to use a bow as a miner.): Dhaun's size does not afford him great strength, and he finds himself unable to lift or carry objects or people over 175 pounds, give or take. He is an impatient person, and isn't too interested in becoming some grand intellectual. He often finds himself unable to deal with particularly stupid people, and when his patience wears thin, he loses all sense of a speech filter he has. He has terrible aim, and ranged weapons escape him.
What is your character's personality? (Optional; use this field to note character traits that you feel don't fit into either strengths or weaknesses if you wish): N/A, pretty much all covered.
Bonus Language (Caro is free): Arturan

Physical description:
A great bull of a man even in such 'advanced' age, Aspar is large and well-muscled. In his prime the man was no doubt handsome by Savage standards, but now his skin has a sickly greenish tint to it, and in places appears to be deteriorating. Aspar's eyes are a dark and bloodshot burgundy-red color, his hair thinning and gray -- though he still manages to maintain an impressive beard. He dresses primarily in light leather armors over simple cloth, and could frequently be seen with a bow in hand and a quiver on his back.
Screen capture of your skin:
Biography:
Aspar Lascaris was born deep in the heart of the Forlorn Lands of Horizon, the eldest son of the great war-chief Genseric Lascaris. His birth was within the tribe said to have been accompanied by a great thunderclap and the voice of Rhyfel himself from the heavens, but in reality the only truly unusual event that transpired at Aspar's birth was the death of his mother some two hours later.
Nonetheless he was a strong boy, and seemed destined for greatness. He took a liking at a young age to both the morningstar and the bow, and throughout his childhood and adolescence practiced almost incessantly with both. When Aspar was fourteen -- a teenager by human standards, but well into adulthood by Savage ones -- his father finally met his end at the age of thirty-seven, and Aspar took over the mantle of his tribe's leadership, and immediately embarked on a sizeable military campaign against the neighboring clans.
So things went for a number of years, as victorious campaign followed victorious campaign and more of the tribes were subjugated. Aspar sired nearly a dozen children in that time, all of whom were granted control over a portion of his lands in co-rulership. For some time it seemed almost as if he might manage to form a nation-state to compete with the Confederation, and perhaps to push its sympathizers out of Horizon once and for all.
But such things, of course, cannot be. As Aspar aged he grew weaker, and his children grew more quarrelsome. At the ripe age of thirty-three, as aches began to settle deep into his bones, Aspar saw an alternative to ending his days mediating his ambitious offspring -- rumor had arrived of a rising of undead in faraway Enris. So he departed on horseback with a dozen of his most trusted riders, and they set off across the sprawling expanse with the goal of hiring a ship at Beschwall.
The journey was not kind, however. None of Aspar's party knew more than a spattering of Caro, and only a few had ever even glimpsed the sea. After a number of frustrating barriers, they finally managed to negotiate passage and a stop in Enris onboard a ship bound for Rinion.
The seas were not kind either, sadly, and a rogue storm off the coast of the Kingdom saw the ship dashed on Enris' shore some few leagues from Thaeron. Aspar, one of few survivors, gathered those remaining and set off along the coast, fighting or fleeing from the undead as they fell upon the group. In the end Aspar was the only man to make it to the city with his life, and spent some time just outside the town tending to his wounds and watching the city before taking the final steps through the gates.
What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation):
To find an honorable end to his days drinking, wenching and combating the undead.
Strengths (Both physical and personality):
- Physically strong and somewhat agile
- Skilled with blunt and ranged weapons
- Good leadership skills, provided anyone would listen to him
- Remarkable endurance
Weaknesses (Balance out yours character's strengths with suitable weaknesses. Not knowing how to do something that is outside of your class is not a weakness. I.E. Not knowing how to use a bow as a miner.):
- Gradually beginning to deteriorate from age
- Knows only a small smattering of Caro
- Very disdainful of non-Savage races
- Boisterous and arrogant

Most very fleshed-out characters have around 300, but feel free to use even more than that if you wish. Try and avoid clichés such as loved one being killed by bandits or the like):
Falen was born into a family that basically made her fend for herself since she was born. She never got daddy’s love or mom’s care. But out of the 5 children who were in her family only one of them got love and that was that god’s damned girl Matshka. She watched as that girl was handed everything she got in life while she only got handed beatings. This made her filled with rage and she wouldn’t let this thing get everything while she got nothing. Every chance she could she would she’d pick on the brat and take away anything that brought her joy in life. Though all the siblings ganged up on the damned girl, she just took it and it made Falen enraged. She then took her anger to another level having her siblings and herself beat the living daylight out of her making sure not to leave a single mark on her body for they would get in trouble if their parents saw marks. Though she increased the punishments on the brat she still just took it and by this point Falen was filled with uncontrollable anger. Though it was almost to the point to where she was going to choke the girl in her sleep, she was shocked when her parents forced Matshka to be locked in the prison known as her room. This only temporarily satisfied her because as she saw one person get what they really deserved in life, she noticed all these other strangers being treated as if they were royalty and Falen knew she needed to do something about it.
After a year or two of festering her hate about all the more privileged people in life, the damned brat got away. She ran away and she took our money with her. This enraged her whole family because that was their whole life savings. This meant scarce meals and more beatings, which meant more anger towards Matshka. She couldn’t just leave her siblings behind to chase after the brat for the money so she stayed back and begged. She begged for a few months after that, but to her luck she got nothing. People passed her on the streets and went into shops. She was ready to just give up and go on a murder spree but she needed to be strong for brothers. Though she wouldn’t kill for her siblings she began to steal from local shops for food and money for her brothers. She never wanted to do it, but as she completed her first heist she began to be fascinated by the thought of taking everything away from the people who never deserved it in the first place. This obsession was beginning to get to the point where she was craving the thought of stealing to where she could be deemed crazy or mad. She went from taking bread and change to valuables. She knew she have to stop but she was too deep in the game.
After 2 more months of Thievery went by when a big chance for money had rolled in past her village from the Crownlands. This could either go really great or end horribly for Falen. She saw a caravan parked up the road from her village guarded by two guards. She knew this was a transport from somewhere important most likely being the Crownlands because her village bordered the Crownlands but was located in the Mistlands. She prepared herself to pull off this heist and was ready to lose it all. She had all her supplies in her bag ready to begin the theft. She only had a loaf of bread and a dagger because the rest of her stash she left with her siblings just incase things went sour. She waited for the skies to go dark and she was on her journey. As she approached the caravan she saw the two men talking at a fire located near the transport. As she approached the caravan she wasn’t sure if she should actually go through with this. She held her breathe as she entered the caravan but wasn’t stuck in pure fear as she saw a man in the transport looking at her as if he was a statue. As she quickly snapped out of it, she turned around and ran. She knew the man had seen her face and he would most likely search the village for her, so she knew she couldn’t return home because ever if she did her mom and dad would most likely turn her in. She ran for days only having a loaf of bread to survive on and she eventually came to a hill out looking a port. She saw many boats coming and leaving the port going into the horizon, never to be seen again. She decided to try and sneak on the boat to try to get to freedom. She swam to the boat and quickly tried to scale it. Though she did fall in a couple of times by the time she did get in it was dark so no one knew she was aboard. She was never questioned why she was there or who she was so she just went with it. Now she has no clue what she will do and she doesn’t care as long as she is in the clear. Though she did hear of a the boat docking in a place called Thaeron.
What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation): To see to it that everyone who is overly privileged is brought down to everyone else who isn’t. To make sure everyone can feel what it is like to be privileged.
Strengths (Both physical and personality): She is a very fast runner and she could possible run for days before she stops. She can scale the tallest height and often climbs for fun. She is decent with the blade she owns but isn’t the best for fighting. She is very skilled in stealth and many traits that every good thief has. She often feels empathy only for those who have the same feeling of being the lesser person in situations.
Weaknesses (Balance out yours character's strengths with suitable weaknesses. Not knowing how to do something that is outside of your class is not a weakness. I.E. Not knowing how to use a bow as a miner.): She often feels sorry for people she steals from which affects greatly on her performance. She not very strong physically. She can be very merciless when she is in a great fit of rage and it could often get her caught and thrown in jail. She is bad with people and often scares them away because she comes off as a cold hearted gal. She often can be very rude and abrasive to the point where social interaction is impossible.
What is your character's personality? (Optional; use this field to note character traits that you feel don't fit into either strengths or weaknesses if you wish): She is often considered to Chaotic-Neutral and will do good but only by committing a crime. She is very off putting when is comes to her social skills they don’t exist. She is very particular about clothing and is often considered a fashionista. She is a very two sided person to keep herself from being suspected as a thief. She almost never lets someone know about herself and is very secretive.
Bonus Language (Caro is free): Savage
Character Traits (up to 7 points worth):
Soooo how about that Battle of Concord? I think that was record-setting in terms of number of player-deaths in a single event. Absolutely brutal end to Chapter I.

You're telling me. Now someone get to work reviewing people's new characters, please
Standing at 5’6” with well-defined muscles, Genivo keeps his white hair brushed back away from his face. His outfit seems to be that of a hunter, but has some sort of insignia on the back that hints otherwise. His eyes are a bright green almost like the grass in the summer months.

Biography (Minimum 225 words. Most very fleshed-out characters have around 300, but feel free to use even more than that if you wish. Try and avoid clichés such as loved one being killed by bandits or the like):
Genivo was born inside one of the many cave systems under the surface of Horizon. Due to being surrounded by savage tribes, the drows who lived in these cave systems often sought out the tribes for employment. Genivo’s father was one of those people, often leaving Genivo in the care of his half-uncle while he was away on business. It was from this uncle that Genivo learned how to use his dagger. His uncle, being a quite devoted follower of the Weaver, taught Genivo to perform sacrifices and rituals as often as he could.
His father wasn’t always away however, and ended up teaching Genivo one of the skills he would probably use most in life which was how to use the crossbow. Since his father was often performing assassination jobs for the savage tribes he had become quite efficient with the crossbow and passed that skill down to Genivo. His father also taught him how to speak savage so that he could take jobs in the future.
Using his crossbow and dagger, Genivo became popular among many savage tribes, and quite hated among others. Occasionally when he took a job, he’d capture the target instead and sacrifice them to the Weaver. Eventually, a few of the savage tribes had had enough of him, and chased him out of Horizon.
Ending up in Alann, he tried to settle down in one of the towns near the border upon moving in, he learned that people often looked at him with distaste because of the fact that he was a drow. Nonetheless, soon after his arrival in town he was ordered by the Alanni that if he wished to seek shelter in their nation he would have to be trained and join to fight in their military. Having nowhere else to go for the moment, he did as he was told. The Alanni didn’t like that he used a crossbow as a weapon and quickly began teaching him how to use a longbow instead. After a few years of service, he’d worked up enough gold to leave Alann. After hearing about recent events in Enris from people escaping the area, he decided to get on the next ship there in hopes of finding work.
What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation):
To find work in Enris.
Strengths (Both physical and personality):
Genivo is a skilled archer with both the bow and the crossbow. Having learned how to use both, on top of his skill with daggers, Genivo is a worthy opponent in combat.
Weaknesses (Balance out yours character's strengths with suitable weaknesses. Not knowing how to do something that is outside of your class is not a weakness. I.E. Not knowing how to use a bow as a miner.):
Genivo has a lack of empathy due to the way he was raised and the work that he did. He has trouble gaining friends due to his bluntness and general arsehole attitude.
What is your character's personality? (Optional; use this field to note character traits that you feel don't fit into either strengths or weaknesses if you wish):
Genivo is a rather blunt and sarcastic person, and is often referred to as an arsehole by others. Although it seems like he enjoys talking to others he merely does it for the sake of gaining information or in an attempt to get a job.
I'm very interesting to see this newest wave of characters, as the players behind them have all been on the server for over a month and thus know the current state of things. I wonder how/if that'll affect character types and/or traits selected.

Out of Character Information
IGN: Tiffosaur
Character Information
Name: Octavia Nar’vaum
Age: 34 in Drow years (22 in human years)
Race: Drow
Physical description: A tall Drow woman, standing 6’5” and weighing a good 150ish pounds. She’s a bit bigger than most but exceedingly bulky. Her dark brown hair is tied into one large braid, which sways behind her; a strand of her hair is blonde. Oct’s eyes shine a dazzling blue, and her skin is dark.
Octavia was the first of five Nar’vaums, born to a different father than the others. Her father was known to get woman pregnant, then leave the family. She was the eighth, hence the name. Octavia’s mother soon married to another man after Oct’s birth. Her first few years of life were fairly simple and plain; she was grown as she was expected, until her second sibling came along. Her parents became very harsh towards them, often beating and hurting them. Octavia could do plenty about it, but she did not want to hurt her own parents. She simply allowed the beatings, even as her other siblings came along.
Octavia, being the oldest, tried to take as many of the beatings she could. She paid no heed to watching her siblings gang up on Matshka, one of their younger and spoiled siblings. She wished she could help, but was much too preoccupied with her parents to notice. Often when her parents were not home, Octavia would go out and train. Her parents would scold, lecture her of the dangers of the world while beating her. She wanted to prepare. Each day, she’d deliberately get into fights with others, watching and learning their movements. She fought back sometimes, and as time went by, she slowly began to win more fights. Her skill increased day by day.
Only once did she fight back against her parents, and that was when they stopped hitting her in particular. After, the beatings against her siblings increased. Octavia did nothing, other than obtain food and money for the family. She was often hired to beat others, and worked as a part time bartender. Eventually though, her younger sister, Matshka, ran away with a majority of their money. Octavia was saddened by this, truly. She loved all her siblings, but she did not go after her; what good could she do? A few months later, another of her sisters left. Octavia didn’t think much of this, until a man showed up to their door. He spoke of Falen, and where she seemed to be going. Her parents, despite not caring for the children, demanded that Octavia go after her, and so she did so. She gathered her things, and left after her.
What is your character’s main goal?: She has no particular goal, other than to perhaps find her sister, Falen.
Strengths: Octavia knows how to fight well and she has strong arms. In addition, she knows how to deal with pain, from being abused as a child. Personality wise, she’s caring for those she likes. She’s quiet and tries not to stick her nose into other people’s business. She's exceptionally obedient, which could also come as a weakness.
Weaknesses: Octavia isn’t very agile, which can be a pain when it comes to combat. She doesn’t have the best of hearing, and tends to zone out at worst times possible. She’s not the smartest of the bunch. Personality wise, she’s gullible and tends to believe anything she hears. As said before, she tends to do as she's told.
What is your character's personality?: Octavia cares heavily for those that she likes. When she comes to like someone, she can become very attached and clingy. There are few that she truly likes. In addition, she can be a little impulsive at times, but can generally keep herself in check. Oct can be somewhat naive to the true horrors of the world, for, despite being gullible, she did not believe her parents when they said the world was a scary place.
Blayjeezy: Good App, but the links are broken. Before you’re
formally whitelisted, you can send an image of your skin to me in a PM, or from
Skype.
DeltaV: Welcome back! Please note that all returning players
with new chars have to have their old stats reset and outfitted with the new
ones for their new chars.
Pearl_CrystalGem: Nice work! This char has the makings of a
good anarchist, but you’ll need to get a VA first if you plan to vent the
extreme feelings your character has towards the rich.
Rinion: You do realize that if you put such a blatant
invitation in your app, then people actually WILL call you an Arsehole? I
digress though: Your app was good, welcome back.
Tiffosaur: Nice Work! I recommend using a Character Linking
Application to solidify your char’s connection to Pearl_CrystalGem’s char.
Deferred:
MrWackyGuy: Your app was good, but it has been deferred for
the reasons Welknair listed. Some traits require that you have others before
getting them, and Martial Weapons is one of them. Also, we need your character’s
history, not his resume. You need details like a hometown, a birthdate, things
that happened to him, how he dealt with them, and how/why he goes to Enris.
Please fix all this and repost the revised edition. You should be good to go
then.
Physical description: Delicate-looking and graceful, Amrielli is decorated with beads, gold, and jewels. Standing at 5’7”, she is terribly skinny. Shoulders slightly hunch forward, her dress loosely falling around her body. Tied up in a loose bun, her hair dyed emerald green shines either like bright and healthy summer leaves, or disgusting mold growing on the oldest of stones, depending on how you look at her. Her face looks young but experienced, her eyes questioning everything it sees. Her sickly pale hands are nimble and boney, inspecting everything it touches.
Biography (Minimum 225 words. Most very fleshed-out characters have around 300, but feel free to use even more than that if you wish. Try and avoid clichés such as loved one being killed by bandits or the like):
Raised in Mezenia, Amrielli can’t tell the difference between the impossible and the factual anymore. Amrielli’s parents were never in the picture to begin with, leaving her with her Aunt Pova. Pova was seldom financially stable, which meant the two of them lived off of thrown out scraps and potentially poisonous fruits and berries. Amrielli couldn’t complain, though, for the whole time she didn’t know there was something to complain about. She grew up thinking a lifestyle under a makeshift shelter was normal. Pova didn’t allow whining anyways.
Using their wits, the two found that they could scrape money off of amateur fortune telling. Pova was the one to “reveal” the fortunes, while Amrielli would pretend to be a bewildered customer to attract more people. This career surprisingly worked out for the both of them, and they finally earned enough to pay for a small hut just on the edge of Oddonwall.
Slowly Amrielli began to learn how to “tell one’s fortunes”, as well. Their gig became famous, people from all over Oddonwall traveling to their hut just to get a simple reading. The business evolved, and the partners began to travel, presenting their “gifts” to the world. Everyone loved the two of them. Oozing with wealth, the two lived the life of luxury for a while. Sadly, the fortunes began to take a dark turn when Pova began to use drugs and hallucinogens to drug people into thinking they’re going into a “spiritual state.”. The drugs themselves varied from steam to drinks, and with the customers, Pova and Amrielli were affected by these drugs over time. Their minds were slowly warped and mangled, causing them to either speak absolute nonsense or having panic attacks during the readings. People thought that spirits were truly speaking through them, and Amrielli also began to believe this.
This idea that Amrielli was a true speaker for the spirits began to get to her. It corrupted her, spoiled her. She began to think that if she does read the future, that she deserves more acknowledgement. Amrielli wanted to have the business and money to herself, claiming that Pova was but a trickster and a liar. This broke the relationship between them, resulting in Amrielli abandoned on the streets of Enris.
Her mind damaged by the time she was barely an adult, she began to wander across the lands, telling fortunes and yelling obscenities for maybe a quick coin or two. Danger was all around her, for time after time she’d find herself in a forest being chased after by the petrifying beasts that inhabited the land.
Amrielli was wondering around one day when she noticed a light that was shooting up perfectly in the sky, never fading or flickering. The light seemed perfect, almost unsettling. Amrielli's intuition said to follow such light, for it was obviously the work of the "spirits". Thus, started her march for Thaeron.
What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation): To prove to the world of her powers and to reclaim fame again, also to just get by everyday.
Strengths (Both physical and personality): Amrielli is very creative, coming up with spontaneous ideas every day. She can judge a person’s character just by the look of their face. A quick and cunning person, she is always ready to give a quick and snappy response to any remark. She knows what people want and she’ll do whatever it takes to mooch a few coins off of them.
Weaknesses (Balance out yours character's strengths with suitable weaknesses. Not knowing how to do something that is outside of your class is not a weakness. I.E. Not knowing how to use a bow as a miner.): Amrielli is spasmodic and volatile at times, and an unpredictable mood. People may not be able to read her or are pushed away by her. She is frail from constant hunger. Although recovering, drug exposure at a young age made her impulsive and unbridled.
What is your character's personality? (Optional; use this field to note character traits that you feel don't fit into either strengths or weaknesses if you wish): She claims to “see” things that others can’t, and can use this to her advantage when fortune telling.

Race: Drow
Physical description: Despite being 72, (48 in human years), he looks as young as 30. His face is handsome. His hair is white, skin is dark, eyes are black, ears are pointed, and chin is angled, though his teeth are sharp. He stands around 6’1” and weighs around 130 lbs. He is quite skinny. He is usually seen wearing a large, brown, overcoat with a scarf, boots and gloves. Occasionally, he will wear a pair of red glasses, and at home he will just wear a red shirt and pants. His facial expression has a fixed smile that is always bright.
Screen capture of your skin (I recommend uploading to imgur and posting link here):
Biography (Minimum 225 words. Most very fleshed-out characters have around 300, but feel free to use even more than that if you wish. Try and avoid clichés such as loved one being killed by bandits or the like): Thomas Lynn was originally born as Ishkin Mar’tuk. He was born in Norland to a very traditional Drow family. He lived underground in a cave, and his parents were strong followers of the Weaver. Ishkin lived under his parent’s rule for 10 years, until a party of humans raided the caves. Ishkin was ultimately separated from his parents. Young Ishkin managed to escape the underground in to the snowy, rocky, landscape above. He ran for hours until he eventually broke down in the snow. Luckily, the same party of humans found him lying in the snow just as he reached hypothermia. The humans took pity on the young Ishkin and took him back to their village. Thomas was nurtured back to health and was taken in by a human family. Ishkin originally knew nothing of Caro, but was eventually taught the language by his family. They eventually changed his name to Thomas Lynn. Thomas was always very curious about his environment. He’d always examine the snow and the rocks. He keeps this enthusiasm to this day. Eventually, he grew out of his old Drow ways and started acting more human-like, except there were times where he would still show his hunger for flesh. He even tried to eat his mother’s arm, but they were able to put up with him. When turned the age of 25, Thomas decided he wanted to go out and learn more about the world. He left his family in the pursuit of knowledge. For the next 17 years, he has traveled around almost all of the Cordolan Federation ((Except Enris)); learning of all the languages, cultures, and religions. In disguise, he made his way to Arturan where he taught in a prestigious university as a language professor. Though, after three years of teaching, his race was found out and was banned from Arturan. He made his way to Allan, since the country had one of his favourite landscapes. Soon after he moved to Allan, he met Rainel Var’shul. She worked as a doctor in the town, and would occasionally work as a medic on the battlefield. Thomas and Rainel fell in love and got married. A year after their marriage, they had a child, who they named Dash. Thomas was able to make a deal where he would teach as many children as he can at a time to be literate before they are drafted in to the army in exchange for him not having to do service. For the next 15 years, he raised Dash and taught him a few of the languages he knew, as well as all the knowledge he acquired over his years of travel. When his son was enlisted as a tactician for the military, he was as proud as can be. For the few years, he spent his time working as a teacher for the children of Allan. When Thomas turned 69, he got news that his son fled Allan and killed a General. Thomas was shocked about the news, but tried to do his work as best as he could. Eventually, the Allani army decided to punish the Lynn family for Dash’s betrayal. Rainel was moved to full time war medic and Thomas was taught simple weapons and forced to fight. Thomas was terrified of fighting, but he followed orders. He stayed in the army until he turned 72, when Rainel was killed in a Savage raid. Thomas; devastated and with nothing left to live for, decides to go to Enris to find his son. He also has an interest in learning magic, and joining Leogard academy to become a full time professor again. He has received several letters from him, but has been unable to reply. He fled Allan and head to Enris, where he hopes to find his son, and hopefully become a professor in Leogard academy, which he has read about in many history books.
What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation): He wants to find his son, learn magic, and become a language professor at Leogard academy.
Strengths (Both physical and personality): Thomas Lynn is a genius. He has at least some sort of knowledge of everything, (Almost) and has read many, many books. He also knows all languages within the Cordolan Federation. He is also physically fit, from all his years of travelling and his time spent in the army. He has copious amounts of restraint. He is very friendly towards all people he meets and is easy to talk to, though he has a strange sense of humour and over the top enthusiasm. He’s also good at reading people, and finding out what they are feeling.
Weaknesses (Balance out yours character's strengths with suitable weaknesses. Not knowing how to do something that is outside of your class is not a weakness. I.E. Not knowing how to use a bow as a miner.): Thomas is a coward. He fears death and will do anything to avoid dying, though he acts bold and overconfident. Thomas is unable to be blunt. He will lie if he thinks the truth will hurt someone, even if it is important. Thomas also likes toying with people by lying to them and seeing how long they will believe the lie, or just tell them at random he was lying whether right after, or a long time after. He occasionally hungers for raw flesh, because of his past worshipping the weaver that is implanted in to his brain, and instinct. He is usually able to hold this back… Unless he snaps.
What is your character's personality? (Optional; use this field to note character traits that you feel don't fit into either strengths or weaknesses if you wish): ENFJ. Enthusiastic, driven by knowledge, and empathetic.
Bonus Language (Caro is free): Savage, Arturan, Allani, Mistspeak, Runic, Wild Elven

Character Information:
Name: Levin Finn
Age: 24
Race: Human
Physical description: Levin is a rather short man, standing at around 5'4 and naturally has an incredibly weak build to him. Both vertically and horizontally he tends to pale in comparison to other's his age, often giving him a 'short man' complex. He has rather long, raven like hair that reaches down into a pony tail that he keeps together with a hair band. His eyes are cloud grey but are quite milky, filled with aspects of darker whites and lighter blacks. For clothing her wears assassin like clothing, including a tightly sewn together jacket, black leggings and an assortment of belts because apparently that's what people think looks bad ass on a skin. He also slings a jet black cape, reaching just below his waist and is often waving in the wind due to it's light fabric. Despite his rather edgy appearance, he has an unusually sly and almost 'over joyous' smile to him, one that never really fades.
Biography: Levin was prematurely born to two parents who owned a small convoy business in the Crownlands. With no relatives to look after Levin, he was often brought along when both parents had to go. It was always rather peaceful. As a baby Levin never cried and his parents had put him in a very calm state of mind. However, like all happy stories, it had to come to an end. When Levin was just short of the age of two both him and his parents were attacked by a small group of starved thieves. Though their intention was never to kill anyone, their sudden appearance armed with a blade had spooked the horses leading the carriage enough to sway the family into the ditch.
His Mother and Father had both received fatal injuries- his Mom dying from a snapped neck and his father collapsing on of the blades they were delivering. Luckily, Levin never had to see his parents lifeless eyes as he was knocked unconscious. The thieves, feeling guilty for what they have caused opted to not steal from the deceased parents and took pity on the young Levin. Because they couldn't afford to care for him themselves they took him to a nearby orphanage, headed by a priest.
He was quieter than most of the kids, oblivious to what exactly happened to his parents. Though, he never did cry, he just wasn't really familiar with the feeling of sadness and was thus unable to properly exhibit it. The priest, an older man about in his forties was aware of the boy's situation and always questioned why he never frowned or complained like another child would over a simple toy. Perplexed or not the priest did all he could to raise Levin like his own son and for a while it detoured the naive boy's mind from his parents demise; as a matter of fact Levin had lost all memory of his parents, the one he remembered as 'father' being the priest.
Life went well for Levin, he had made many precious friends in the orphanage, often teased by the young girls and admired by the boys. He was the fastest in all of the orphanage, perhaps even the strongest out of all the scrawny, underfed children. Many looked up to him and this of course led him to being adopted- not by someone typical, but someone assertive and serious. The priest was reluctant, but the parent who wanted to adopt Levin was a lone wolf mercenary who was about to leave his prime. Strapped in food and funds, the priest allowed Levin to go and the young boy was about to receive his third set of parents. The mercenary wasn't abusive and was even loving in his own special way. Some would argue he was a good father to Levin, feeding him properly and even training him in the art of battle. Though, it was the job his new father worked that made life so danger. Levin was like a squire to a knight, assisting all he could, but mostly standing by while his father got his job done. His father was renown and was often busy constantly, dragging Levin along for valuable experience. Many called upon his name, mostly the wealthy, as the Silver Wolf. Named so for his hefty prices and lone style of fighting.
By the age of sixteen his father had begun to retire, leaving his reputation and title as the Silver Wolf up to Levin. Unlike his father, who was a legend amongst the land; years of malnutrition had left Levin much weaker than his broad Father. It was at this time Levin had also started his addiction to gambling and women. The blood rushing adrenaline, the horrid feeling after losing food to money; it was all a fun game to him. Of course he still did his job, opting to do small jobs like escorts and even quieter things like spy work and sabotage. Levin was descent at his job, not the best, but in his mind competent enough to warrant a new nickname: the Coin Fox. Confident in himself, his nickname reflects his gambling debt and sly approach at things.
As time went on, his gambling debt had begun to stack up, forcing him to run away. With no place really in mind, he snagged a couple of rides on a couple of kind caravans before he finally wound up in Enris; where he hopes not to screw up again...
What is your character’s main goal?: MONEY, MONEY, MONEY! Oh and to start a new gambling debt, oh yeah!
Strengths: Quiet on his feet, Smart and decisive, Creative, Calculated, Flattering, Quick, Great hand and feet dexterity.
What is your character's personality?: Levin, though once reserved and quiet, is now a gambling slob who loves to have fun. He has an aroma of arrogance to him and tends to think of himself too highly to the point where he is completely narcissistic. Compared to most, he is incredibly sly and some could say he is flirty or just a hopeless romantic. He is the king of empty flattery. However, despite his clear flaws he has a rather firm heart, filled with morals. He refuses to harm children and has made it a rule to never attack a priest, no matter how corrupt or sadistic. Despite his job, it is clear he dislikes violence and prefers to stay in the shadows to do spy work. That being said, if he needs to get down and bloody, he's going to get down and bloody.
I would like to take the time to remind reapplying players that you don't have to fill out the OOC section again.
Accepted:
DietCocaineZero
Glad to see you back! A note about your app, though. Since your character is a human, upon character creation, you'll have the opportunity to pick an extra talent trait.
Deferred:
bunnyfufu299
I would've accepted this app, but for one problem. You cannot start out with any Chemist trait. An alternative is the Brewer trait, which allows you to initially begin with the ability to make potions, though at a greater exhaustion cost than a fully-fledged Chemist.
Denied:
DarkDaash
Unfortunately, you have been denied from From the Ashes. This means that, unlike a deferral, you cannot reapply to this server. The reasons for your denial are manifold, so I'll run through them relatively quick.
First of all, your 'new' character is quite obviously anything but. Thomas is very clearly a Legacy character, a clone of your previous character in nearly every single way. He is merely another 'genius' Drow from Alann, and even the things in your bio that aren't just a rehashing of Dash are ridiculous. There is no way that he could have disguised his very obvious race if he was teaching in a university, in fact, there's no way that he'd be teaching at a prestigious Arturan university at that age at all. It is also very clear that you simply made this character related to your previous one in order to keep your house, in accordance to the will you wrote after your previous character's death. I wish you the best of luck in your future roleplay endeavors. Denials only last for the server they were given for, so in the event that we make another server (which is quite likely) you'll be able to apply to that.
Yes, it is required to look like your character. And we do have more than one race besides humans. Check the OP for details.
Character Information
Name:
Duncan Earthenshield
Age:
65
Race:
Halfman
Physical description:
Short and stocky (duh), and fairly well-built, wears regal clothing with his family's insignia on the back. Leaves shirt unbuttoned to the point that you can see his glorious chest hair. Shoulder-length brown hair is tied back in a ponytail. Wears a wedding ring on his left ring finger.
Screen capture of your skin (I recommend uploading to imgur and posting link here):
Biography (Minimum 225 words. Most very fleshed-out characters have around 300, but feel free to use even more than that if you wish.

Physical description: Standing at 4"4 which was rather short for a child her age, thin and sickly looking.

Name:
Aspar Lascaris
Age:
33
Race:
Savage

She has many articles of jewelry that range from rings to earrings but none of them belong to her either. Though some of her feature are pretty when you look at her you get an threatening vibe from her appearance.

Tried to keep my app short and sweet; I tend to go overboard sometimes.

Screen capture of your skin: http://imgur.com/2IPMV0S
Biography:

DeltaV: Welcome back! Please note that all returning players
with new chars have to have their old stats reset and outfitted with the new

Pearl_CrystalGem: Nice work! This char has the makings of a
good anarchist, but you’ll need to get a VA first if you plan to vent the
extreme feelings your character has towards the rich.
Rinion: You do realize that if you put such a blatant

digress though: Your app was good, welcome back.
Tiffosaur: Nice Work! I recommend using a Character Linking

You should be good to go
then.

Name: Amrielli (Last name unknown)
Age: 76
Race: Elf
Physical description: Delicate-looking and graceful, Amrielli is decorated with beads, gold, and jewels. Standing at 5’7”, she is terribly skinny. Shoulders slightly hunch forward, her dress loosely falling around her body. Tied up in a loose bun, her hair dyed emerald green shines either like bright and healthy summer leaves, or disgusting mold growing on the oldest of stones, depending on how you look at her. Her face looks young but experienced, her eyes questioning everything it sees. Her sickly pale hands are nimble and boney, inspecting everything it touches.
Screen capture of your skin (I recommend uploading to imgur and posting link here): http://i.imgur.com/GEPV9MX.png

Weaknesses: Sly, Suspicious, Unlucky, Weak Physically, Bored easily, Impatient at times, Careless, Self obsessed, alcoholic, addictive personality.
